I mean, you learn the same thing online as on a campus. Why does it matter as long as you passed and have earned your degree? I mean, I know it's at your home, but you still have to buckle down on your studies, and pass your exams. You learn the same thing online as on a campus.

Is there a good purpose to have multiple college degrees? When I was talking in the office of a marine recruiter he was telling me he had 4 bachelor's degrees and an associates degree. I've never met anyone with that much schooling under their belt but is there really a point to having that many? That inspired me actually to get multiple college degrees, but since I'm not joining the marines now I still want a bachelor's in business, an associates in music, and an associates in political science. Is it worth having and is it worth spending on?
College degrees, or practical work experience? I have read many questions from people who are upset that they've wasted their dollars on earning degrees, only to be passed up to someone without a degree, or be told that they are "overqualified". What is going on, should we continue to teach our youth that college is the way to go? I am a firm believer in education, and with my Associates Degree I've encountered the good and the bad. I mean, I am still pursuing a Bachelor's and eventually a Masters; just wanted to know others thoughts on this.

What's the best way to join the military and still have a college degree? My son is in high school and is interested in the military AND college. I've heard of getting a college degree then joining and I've heard of joining with the intention of them paying for college. But I don't really know what to tell him that would be true. Can anyone help me with some answers? I have knowledge of the military from many family members who were in it and serving as a military wife for 5 years with my ex-husband. However, he was enlisted and the situation is different with him. He was always saying he'd wished he'd have enlisted as an officer. I was wondering HOW that happens. I consider serving this country to be an honor. WHERE EVER that is. I don't have to love the president to love the country. The president will come and go. The country is ours for as long as we can keep it. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.

How many of you stay at home moms have college degrees? I'm not trying to diss anyone, I don't think a mom with a college degree is necessarily any better than a mom without one. I'm just curious. Do any of you ever feel like people wonder why you have a college degree if you aren't out in the workforce using it?
When applying for a job at McDonalds, is it best to not include your college degree? I am desperate and I am tired of hanging around the house all day. I want to save money and eventually pay down my debt and start paying off my student loan. I am going to apply for a job at McDonalds because I need something to do. Should I leave off my college degree on the application? I have tried everything. I am competing with people with 15 years of experience and several Master's degrees. Nobody wants my fresh-out-of-college butt.
What is the point of college if college degrees are declining in value? I just read this article about college degrees declining in value. I think this is happening because almost everyone is going to college nowadays thus making the bachelor's degree less valuable. How do real world businesses rate online college degrees? I am in the construction field and I am considering getting an online degree in construction management to further my career but I do not want to spend the money or time if companies are not going to value it in close proximity with a conventional college degree. Is there a website that can help me determine how the different online colleges are rated in real world business?
Why are there general education requirements for college degrees? I am wondering why college students must take so many general education classes. I thought that was what high school was for! This is why my GERs are so easy and I am just breezing through them. I wish that along with my degree requirements I didn't have to take math, science and language classes, just history and social sciences. I feel like I'm wasting my time taking the same classes I had in high school over again, and wish I had taken more AP tests. I was priveleged to have had a college-level high school education. I have taken courses like chemistry, physics, english and foreign languages at a college level already. A lot of the students at my high school who went on to college have said that their GERs are easy as well.
What career field is best to go into without a college degree...? As a single parent I can't make it in my current city and am relocating but I want to move to a better position. What career field is best to go into? I have 16 years of retail and food experience but the most I have ever earned is 13000 a year. I have to earn more. I have an associates degree which counts for nothing here (we have over 10 "colleges" in my current city) and I can't afford to finish and get my BA.
What college degree would give the best opportunity for gaining residency in different countries? From what I have read teaching English seems to be the best path, but what else is there? I want to live and work in countries across Asia. It might sound unrealistic, but there's so many expats living and working in Asia, how are they doing it?? I won't marry someone for a visa as a shortcut. How do people get in without a degree? Do you know of any Asian countries that allow skilled migrant visas for carpentry or cabinetry?

Are work experiance college degrees ethical? I have been doing some research on "Work Experience Degrees" Basically Its a degree you buy based on supposed work experience. Big wigs in the government have been busted for having questionable degrees like this. Please review this link http://www.faqs.org/qa/qa-13201.html read the whole thing if you can its a very interesting conversation. There is actually a law in France that allows for a legitimate degree to be granted, after you have proven true work experience for every 3 years of work experience you can prove you will get 1 year of college. This college is located here http://www.sorbon.fr/legalengl.html Best answer will be picked. Remember there are 2 sides to this argument. side 1 I spent thousands of dollars and years of study to obtain my degree. Side 2 I have been working for 20 years and train all the UNIVERSITY grads that come in here and they get paid more then me. That is not fair. What do you think?
