Best Community college degrees to transfer with? Okay people, I really hope I can get some help on this one... I'm not sure if it's specific enough to have a proper answer though. I want to know what 2 year degree poses the highest probability of allowing me to transfer to a good 4 year college. For instance, common sense tells me that if a college is already filled to the brim with psych majors, I doubt they would be interested in getting a transfer from someone who wasn't paying tuition at their school the whole time and will just clog up the system even more. Are certain majors more conducive to transferring? If so, what are they? I'm asking because, long story short, I decided I want to attempt acceptance to medical school or PA school, but I don't have the financial ability to start off at a Uni. So my degree won't really have an affect on my job prospects... I really just need to worry about GPA, prereqs, and MCATS. So I can really take any major I want.
What is the best branch of the military for paying college tuition? I'm trying to find the cheapest way to get a 4 year degree. What would be my best option for paying for college? I don't really want to join the military, but It looks like the only way i'm going to be able to pay for school. Also, what are the military's policies on masters and phd degrees?

What's the best way to join the military and still have a college degree? My son is in high school and is interested in the military AND college. I've heard of getting a college degree then joining and I've heard of joining with the intention of them paying for college. But I don't really know what to tell him that would be true. Can anyone help me with some answers? I have knowledge of the military from many family members who were in it and serving as a military wife for 5 years with my ex-husband. However, he was enlisted and the situation is different with him. He was always saying he'd wished he'd have enlisted as an officer. I was wondering HOW that happens. I consider serving this country to be an honor. WHERE EVER that is. I don't have to love the president to love the country. The president will come and go. What are some of the best paying, most in demand associate's degrees? Please read it all and give me advice!? I'm a 28 year old single mom of 3 young children. I have enough money saved to take one, maybe two years off from work to go to school full time. I currently have 25 credits from a private college. Some may transfer, some may not. Some credits I have are for: Sociology, Political Science, English, Maco Economics, Micro Economics, Philosophy, Religious Studies, etc. I am going back to school to get my bachelor's, but I think I need to get my Associate's first (just to get SOME sort of degree) and then work part time on my bachelor's. What would be my best major as far as finishing quickly and finding a good paying job? Computer Tech is NOT an option, nor is anything in the health care field except perhaps Dental Hyg. I would really appreciate anyone who takes the time to help me out, as I really need to get the ball rolling ASAP! Thank you!

As a transfer student, I only have 2 years left to my degree which will be around $23,000 total. Will I be able to afford this if I'm paying for school myself? I don't receive any help from my family. I'll also need to add in the cost of housing, and personal bills. Is it possible?

Thinking of being a teacher? Best College Degree? I want to eventually be a film director but I want to build a safety net in case that doesn't work out. So I thought teaching. But in my school you can't do the teaching program if you don't have a degree in that field but I personally like Comp Lit better than English. I don't want a film degree but something else that may be interesting/ well paying. I was thinking of doing Comparative Literature just by itself but I wonder if that gets you a job. Is a person with a college degree paid more than a tech school graduate? I am interested in become an ultrasound technician. I am researching various options and can’t decide the best way to become certified. Would it be better to go to college and get my associate’s degree or just go to a tech school and become certified? What is the most appealing to a possible employer? Would they offer someone with an associate’s degree a job before they offered someone who went a tech school a job? I already have about 2 years of schooling under my belt, but they’re just random G.E. courses. I’m leaning towards the tech school because the primary focus is just on medical courses. However, I don’t want to pay for the tech school, just to be passed over for a job if it doesn’t look as good on a resume. The tech school seems to be the best option for me now because I can focus on just the medical courses. I’m more concerned about whether I will be considered for a ultra sound job if I am just certified without an associate’s degree. I would assume that the rate of pay would not differ because of it. From what I have researched, tech school’s do require you to pass the RDMS exam, so you would be licensed. If anyone has anymore information it would be very helpful! Thanks so much!
What are the best paying jobs in the United States of America? The job can be with a bachelor's degree or no college needed, also be in the Nashville, Tn area.
Best college degree? Hey, I am in 11th grade and I am deciding on what to study in college. My best subjects are Math, Science and Computer I am very good at it and have like a perfect score in each. From a boy I wanted to be a Pilot. So I am looking of something like "aerospace engineering" or something that has to do with the above and that Pays WELL! I hate history and Language classes but I still have good grades. I built my own computer when I had 13 and I am very good with software and hardware. I am also getting my pilot learning License. I am a Professional swimmer and have a lifeguard license.

Do you need a college degree to get a higher end, paying job for a nonprofit? This is something I've considered, the best I can do with my education thus far is donate blood and/or money to the Red Cross or other organizations (which I don't donate money since I don't have any) but none-the-less I'm limited. Right now I'm working toward getting a bachelors and I've considered majors in political science, economics, sociology, international studies, and or business. Basically the social science and/or business. Would this help?
Which college is the best college for me? So I am going to graduate from High School soon, and I need to know which college is best for me. I want to know everything about the colleges that are mentioned, such as how much they will cost, and how prestigious of a college that is. I am interested in a chemical engineering degree, I live in Ohio, I have a 3.8 GPA, with my parents willing to pay for some of my college fees, and who has an average middle class wage, also which university I could possibly get a scholarship from. Best way to pay for college? Best loans? I am starting a new college. I am going to be a teacher. I plan to do two consecutive degrees, both my bachelor's then right into my master's degree. Here is what I want to know. I don't qualify for financial aid, even though our take home isn't a lot and goes to other debts, living, gas, kids, and utilities. Do I want to take both loans for the M.A. and B.A. at the same time? If I don't need all the money do I have to take it? If I don't get a loan for both degrees at once will I be expected to pay back the B.A. while working on the M.A.? Is great credit enough to get such a sizable loan? Where do you get the best loan for school? Can I come back and say hey I want to do my M.A. now please give me more money? Does this sound dumb? I am actually scared of going into debt for a whole year of our current income (if we didn't pay taxes) just to get a better job and be able to stay out of debt and just be working people. Please help. I am second guessing my education.... Aww mattie mate I appreciate he help, but I am in the U.S. and unsecured loans with out a purpose run a high rate about 17% annual even with good credit, but some info you have given may be useful. Thanks :0
Best college degree for stability? I'm having thoughts of joining college again(..thats a long story..) and I'm not exactly sure what I want. I was thinking something involving crime (CJ, criminology, etc). That's my true love. But I heard that its not worth much in job market, besides police work but heard that they don't give a damn about your degree. I was thinking about computers/engineering (CS, any engineering, etc) since I'm a geek but that would be suicidal with my math skills. Not the kind of math work that I'm looking for. Also, I have read that you'll have to get certifications to keep your mind "updated" every few years as technology grows. Lastly, business is something that has caught my eye a bit. Finance might be something that I like. However, is it true that its overflooded? That's something that I least want. All I'm looking for is job stability with a decent pay to those with a Bachelor's. 45K sounds fair to me. Is this asking too much? Please help!

Is college really worth the money? Will I really get a better paying job with a 4 year college degree? I heard that some of the richest men either never went or dropped out of college. Men like Bill Gates, Dave Thomas (founder of Wendy's), and Bill Cosby. I'm thinking to myself, if they can do it, so can I. So is 4 years of college really worth it? Or should I spend those 4 years gaining real world experiences?
Why is it so important to have a college degree to get a decent paying job? Just because a person has a degree doesn't make them any smarter than a person without one, RIGHT?

My next step is to get a 2nd job, and I will hardly ever be able to see my son. Thanks!
