Doctoral Degrees Knowledge Base
Why is obtaining multiple doctoral degrees advised against? I always hear justifications from people I know from universities saying "it takes too much work" or "you wont have a life." However, for me, learning mathematics and physics is my life. If it were not for practical financial matters, I would go for three PhD's if I could. I love knowledge and learning, it is the greatest treasure in my life. But, does anyone know anybody that has two PhD's? That is what I want to do

So, is undergraduate like, the same thing as a bachelors or?? I'M SO CONFUSED!

What is the value of a doctoral degree from the university of phoenix? I know all their doctoral degrees are certified by a national board that also certifies schools like Harvard. Are departments biast and just choose people they want in the doctoral program without an interview? I am applying for my doctoral degree. I had to go through an interviewing process in front of a committee. However, I feel that no matter how well I presented myself, one person looked at the walls, and the other person kept staring at his watch. The next day, I asked 2 other doctoral applicants if they got into the doctoral program. Both were never interviewed but said they just got in there because they knew people in the department. I do not think that this is fair to let some candidates in without the formal process. Is it true that the applicant screening is about favoritisim? Please let me know your experiences if you got rejected or not.
