Bachelor College Degrees Knowledge Base
What is the least expensive online college offering bachelor degrees ? I am enrolling at Devry University, which is a very good college. However the cost of each credit hour is almost $600.00 ($1800.00) per class. Does anyone know of a less expensive accredited college? By the way, I am going for a bachelor's degree in Multimedia Graphics and Web Design.
College Bachelor Degrees and Majors? Are majors part of bachelor degrees or the other way around? Or are they completely separate? And what is a minor? For example, could you have a bachelor of arts with and English major? Sorry, I am just starting to think about colleges and I'm already confused!
Does it really matter which undergraduate college (for bachelor degrees) you go to? (read the rest please....) Well Im sure most of you have heard of big shot Universities such as Harvard, Cambridge, John Hopkins, Yale, Princeton, etc. And I'm sure that all these universities have undergradute colleges (like Harvard College) And I was wondering if it really mattered where I got my bachelor degree? Let's say I applied to harvard and my small town college and I get accepted to both (with full time scholorship of course :-D), would it make really that much of a difference of which I go to? I mean yeah i'd love to tell people I went to some nice college, but isn't it the degrees past your bachelor that matters? I'm very confused about this matter and at this age, college really shouldn't occupy my mind all too much. Answer please? No insults please, im not really all too "enlightened" in this and haven't really THOUGHT about it much. Contradictions accepted though. Thanks!
What is the easiest way to earn a bachelor degree with previous college credits from other institutions? I have two associate degrees from a local community college and a few college credits from another college. I need a bachelor degree to land a better paying job. Does anyone know of a major university that offers an adult or continuing education program that would allow me to combine the credits from my two associate degrees and additional credits with having to take more than 1 or 2 semesters (10 or less classes) to complete my bachelor degree either through distance or online learning? If anyone knows of a credited university or program in which would allow me to earn my bachelor degree as mentioned above, I would be very appreciative of your help (answer).
Do Universities accept college Bachelor Degree? Hi everyone, Currently I go to George Brown College for my College Advanced Diploma in Human Resources. After graduating I am planning to go to Seneca College for my degree in Human Resources. My goal is to get into Master program at University of Toronto MIR HR. I know they require high GPA. If I have high GPA will they accept Degree from the college rather than University? The reason I am not going to university because it is more expensive than in college. Please advise.
College Bachelor degrees? I wanted to major in Meteorology, but I did not get accepted into the school (due to not finishing all the General ed required classes for meteorology). However I did get accepted into this other school for dance. I am thinking I could get my BA in dance at this school, then afterwords go back to major in Meteorology. But my question is can I do this, go back and get a Bachelors for Meteorology, when I would have one in dance? (P.S This is for colleges in California).
What's the difference between College/Bachelor/Masters Degree, PhD (am I missing something?)? I studied Veterinary Medicine in Mexico. It took me 5 years 2 graduate, but I don't have an actual "title" (Sorry, but I have no idea how the thing's called in English), but I DID complete the whole career. I also studied 1 semester of the Veterinary Sciences Master (4 subjects: Genetics, Pathology, etc.). I need 2 know what that makes me... Is it a "college graduate" = College Degree, or Bachelor Degree??? Help! Please!!! THANKS!!!
How do people get bachelor degrees? Hi. I have to admit that I have no idea about the college system. And my little English will prevent me from asking directly to counselors. Would you please tell me how to get a bachelor degree in college? Is it just to complete all the courses required by that degree (for an example, a Computer Science bachelor degree)? How do I know what those courses are? Anything else I need to know? If you know any step-by-step websites, I will be very happy when you share it to me. Thank you very much.
What's the best bachelor degree program in Harvard College? I'm going to attend Harvard College for bachelor degree around 2011 / 2012. I was going to choose Social Studies or Sociology, but my Dad told me that there are not many job offerings for those concentrations. So what is the best bachelor degree in Harvard College? Oh, and I'm totally NOT interested in Science / Engineering / IT (you name it). Thank you!
Do carpentry college degrees exist? or Construction? At the Bachelor's level? My husband loves labor and wants to pursue college for a type of manual labor job. But it seems like Carpentry degrees don't exist and ITT Tech has a bachelor's in construction but that's a scam school where employers laugh at the degree. It's to no surprise that here in Virginia, the ITT Tech schools are located in the ghetto areas. Are there any Bachelor's degrees for Construction or Carpentry out there?? We live in Virginia if that helps, so anything legit in Virginia or online? It seems like my hubby can find it at the Associates degree level through a legit community college, but at the bachelor's degree level, we're stumped. :P Any advice helps! Thanks! Actually "Me", you have a point, but it depends because for some labor jobs, they DO want degrees or like 1000 years of experience so it'll greatly benefit if there was some type of 4 year degree involved.
Is it possible to get a Bachelor Degree of Criminal Justice in College? I am currently still in high school and looking at my grades, I will not be accepted in a University. I am planning on attending college and someone had once told me Bachelor's can only be achieved in a University. I am confused with these post secondary terms (Bachelors,Masters,Degree,Diploma etc). Which college degrees are a waste of time? In terms of making oneself marketable to get a job and make a decent living? I am asking b/c lately i have met several people who have bachelor degrees who claim they are 'useless.' And on the flip side I know people who have got good jobs just based on 'job experience' with no college education.
How many credits do you need in college to graduate with a bachelor's degree? Roughly, how many credits would it take to graduate college with a bachelor degree? (If it matters) a major in business and a minor in English or vise versa (if you can have that combination). I don't need any exact numbers, just an idea would be great! Also, how many credits do you (again, roughly) get per class if the class is a semester long? Thanks!

What are some colleges that offer online bachelor degrees? I am not looking for somewhere such as ITT Tech, Strayer, DeVry, etc. Rather, I want to find a college such as Pennstate, Maryland (which both have online programs) that offer online divisions in which you earn a bachelor's degree solely online. This wouldn't be a degree completion course, but for an prospective entering freshman. Know any? Or any websites that have a list? P.S Abroad or in the States. But preferably English instruction. Merci beaucoup! xo

What do people with bachelor's degrees in English do after college besides go to law school? I'm at a crossroads and would benefit from some feedback. Here's the background: I got an English degree, and then went to law school. I've been a practicing lawyer for just under two years now. I'm not happy being a lawyer, for several different reasons. I'd like to change careers, but I'm stumped by the seeming lack of options that drove me to law school in the first place. I love to write. I love to edit other peoples' writing. I don't like salesmanship. I like working independently, but I also *love* good office camaraderie. I don't want to go back to school. Thanks in advance for help. Lawyer jokes greatly appreciated!
Do you think less people should go to college so that degrees remain competitive? If more people go to college, the Bachelor's degree loses its value, and soon we will have to get Master's degrees to get jobs. The only people who can afford Master's degrees are those born in privileged families. In short, the wealth cap between the rich and poor would only grow, and the rich would get richer and the poor would get poorer. Why do you assume that Blacks are unqualified. Women receive the most affirmative action in any case. I suppose you'll be happy as long as white males have the most privilege in this country.
What is the point of college if college degrees are declining in value? I just read this article about college degrees declining in value. I think this is happening because almost everyone is going to college nowadays thus making the bachelor's degree less valuable. So really what is the point of going to college if it doesn't guarantee a good job? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121623686919059307.html?mod=yhoofront
I'm confused about the degrees in colleges (bachelor, master, etc)? I'm a sophomore and i'm already looking into Uc's and stuff. I want to major in psychology so do i get a psych degree? Then what?? What degree do i need to get? I want to get the highest degree possible to get a good job. Please help me with the steps i need to take!): Thank you
Dance College offering Bachelor Degree in California? My girlfriend is having a lot of trouble looking for a Dance College in California that she could go. She didn't go to college right the way after high school because she didn't have good grades. Now she has decided to major in dance but she doesn't have what it takes to go to any UC or CSU, and she doesn't want to spend years in community college to transfer since she has wasted enough time already. Are there any college that don't really look at your grade and offers a decent bachelors in dance?
How many college degrees can someone have? Is there a limit to how many and what combination of degrees that someone can have? Can someone have more than one associate's or bachelor's degrees in two different areas? How about multiple master's or doctorate's also? If someone could clarify or give a link to information regarding the common rules for college degrees, that would be great!
Bachelor Degree or college advanced diploma? Hi, I am currently enrolled in College Advanced Diploma Human Resources at George Brown College. After graduation I am thinking going to Seneca and get Bachelor in Human Resources. Some people say it's not worth since there are a lot of graduates with Bachelor. What are your thoughts?
Where is a comprehensive list of college degrees/courses? A little while ago I found a website that listed everything you can get a degree in, which was extremely helpful. It's not the degree itself (bachelor, master, etc.) but the subjects you can get them in, like biochemistry and psychology. Could someone help me find that again, or at least a site that roughly covers what is available? I know it differs from college to college.
Is there a good purpose to have multiple college degrees? When I was talking in the office of a marine recruiter he was telling me he had 4 bachelor's degrees and an associates degree. I've never met anyone with that much schooling under their belt but is there really a point to having that many? That inspired me actually to get multiple college degrees, but since I'm not joining the marines now I still want a bachelor's in business, an associates in music, and an associates in political science. Is it worth having and is it worth spending on?

Question about adopting a second major in college (Two Bachelors degrees)? I am very interested in getting both a bachelors degree in criminal justice, and in psychology. In order to get a bachelors in one of the areas (Psychology for example) I need 120 credits (And of course, certain courses to fulfill the requirements) My question is, can I use SOME of the courses I used for psychology, to help fulfill the 120 credit hour requirement for the criminal justice bachelors or do I need a whole new 120 credit hours?

Questions about college degrees? You know how people can get minors in college. Well, how is a minor degree useful because most companies look for people with Bachelor degrees or Master's degrees. I've never once seen a company asking for at least a minor. Has anyone here gotten a Bachelor degree and actually used it? Nowadays could people work their way up in Marketing and IT without Bachelor degrees?
