In researching my school, I am seeing profiles of the school that call it a "college". Thanks for your help and bearing with me. I hope you understand what I'm asking. :-)

Is there a good purpose to have multiple college degrees? When I was talking in the office of a marine recruiter he was telling me he had 4 bachelor's degrees and an associates degree. I've never met anyone with that much schooling under their belt but is there really a point to having that many? Is it worth having and is it worth spending on?

College- Associate Degree Question? I want to get an Associate Degree in Business Administraion. I chose all my classes and they will meet all of the requirements listed in the college's catalog and requirements for the degree. However, when I met with the counselor, she kept pressuring me to transfer and get my Bachelor's Degree... I am not interested in doing this, and I already am doing Business Admin instead of general so I CAN transfer if I wanted to... But she wants me to take extra harder classes to set up for transfer, she says it will still be only 60 units(amount required for the associate degree)... but it will actually end up being more units... My question is: Should I listen to the counselor even though I don't think I will ever transfer(I work full time, and am getting married within the next 2 years, so the associates is going to take me long enough)? I dont even really need the Associates, and my reasoning for not wanting the Bachelors is that it will take like 3-4 years AFTER I finish the associates... i dont even plan to be working then so it seems stupid to me... and her way i would be taking 12 extra units. Okay, everyone pressuring me and being rude about it doesnt help. I wasnt planning on going to college at all. I didnt go right after high school, I just started. It is not something that I want to do. So, I am getting my associates and then if I decide i want a bachelors I will take the extra classes then and do it.

If you get your associate's degree, does that mean all state college MUST accept you into their school? I heard from another Associates degree seeking student, that if you get your associate's degree, a STATE college MUST admit you if you apply. This is for ANY state college, in any state. Also, that it doesn't guarantee your entry into your program of choice. Not that this will be too much off my back, but I was just wondering if this was true. Thanks for your time.
Penn Foster College Associate Degree Veterinary Technican credits...? Hey Everyone, I am enrolled in Penn Foster College's Associate of Science: Veterinary Technology course right now. When I graduate I will be taking the exam to become a ceritifed Veterinary Technician. I am considering the possibility of going on to become a Veterinarian. Does anyone know if other colleges are going to take what I have learned and the time I have put in at Penn Foster seriously and have it count towards getting a higher degree and becoming a Veterinarian? I know I will be certified so I don't see why there would be a problem, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this or has gone from that program with the associate's, on to continue schooling to be a Veterinarian. I just don't want to have to repeat some of the things I am doing now for this degree because they were not considered by whatever college I would go on to attend. Thanks!

Junior College (A Levels) or Broward Community College (Associate Degree)? I am a Singaporean student who has just completed my O levels (7As,1Bs) and waiting for my posting results ( most probably going to a junior college). However, I received a sponsorship to a two years of studies of Broward College's Diploma program, which I was given an option to complete my general education classes in Singapore and then transfer to the U.S. for the third and fourth year of the bachelor's degree. Which will be a better choice? If I go through the Broward College's Diploma program, it seems to save me more time (around 2 yrs) as I would get to bypass A levels? But I am still very unsure of the America Education System and I don't really know whether this programme will help me get my Bachelor of Business Administration faster? (I am 16 now, so I will get my BAA when I am 20?) Will going to NUS, NTU or SMU give me a better degree instead? What will be the Pros and Cons after I return to Singapore to work? Btw, I hope to transfer to a good college/uni like example UC Berkeley and I would like to apply for a scholarship after my sponsorship ends, (I will work hard to better my grades) is it possible? So do you think i should take my A levels or the sponsorship (no strings attached)? Thanks (:

How important is a college degree in the film industry? hey, my friend is interested in making films. she's currently enrolled in a 4-year art school in vancouver (emily carr), where she will receive a bachelor's degree in media studies. however, she really loves living in seattle and is considering coming to seattle and attending seattle central community college to get an associates degree in film & video communications. i know that in general a bachelor's degree is more appealing to employers than an associates, but is there any reason to believe that this concept holds true in the film industry?
