Best academic division 2 basketball schools? What some good academic division 2 mens basketball schools? I know about Stonehill and Bentley are there any others?? By division 2 I mean NCAA division 2 Heres a list of the schools http://d2basketball.com/cgi-script/content/articles/000000/000040.htm
What are some strong academic division 3 schools for women's basketball? I am working on contacting college coaches to try to get myself on the radar for women's basketball. I am a strong division 3 player, and possibly a division 2 player by the end of my junior year. (I am only going into my sophomore year) so what are some decent schools with good basketball programs that i should be contacting? Also, what should I include in the emails since i don't have anymore tournaments coming up for a while? (Like high school stats, height, how i do in school etc.) Maybe if I like one of their academic programs? And my last question is if you know any schools with good programs in any of the following fields: -Physical Therapy -Sports Medicine -Forensic Sciences Oh and one more thing. i live in New England, but I am interested in going to school in the northeast or anywhere else in the country. Thanks :)
Should Northwestern and Illinois be demoted to division III College Football? Northwestern and Illinois are the WORST colleges in College Football. They never win they always manage to humiliate themselves every season and because of their inability to recruit and their impossibly high academic standards they cant get any good football players. Should the NCAA just demote these schools to division III or better yet cancel their programs altogether because they simply can never compete against their own conference rivals as well as the much more NFL-like conferences of the SEC and Big 12.
What are some good things to write about in classification or division? I'm supposed to write this 3-4 page paper on either classification or division and was wondering if you guys had any interesting ideas, cuz i dont really like mine all that much: My idea for the division/classification essay focuses on the students' views toward learning and academics. For example the categories would be: overachievers, slackers, the average people, and the people who just don't care.
Would any one be interested in sponsoring a high school academic competitive team? The team, from Pewaukee High School competes in the Academic Decathlon and has made it to the Wisconsin State Competition numerous times, in 2003 and 2007(the most recent competition) we have won the state competition. This last competition in 2007 we beat the other teams in our division by +20%, we are looking for anything up to a $6,000 sponsorship, thank you very much!
Should i play division III football if I have a bad bulging disc? I've been accepted into the schools I've wanted, and a couple division III coaches wanted me to play for their school. I don't know if I can because of my back. Even the best D3 school wants me to try them, Wittenberg. Should I go to Purdue for academics, or try to play even with my bad back?
do i need to be a top player in my country to play in NCAA division 2 or 3 schools? Hi everyone. I am interested to play tennis in the NCAA. Maybe division 2 or division 3 schools. How hard is it to play Division III Softball?? How hard is it to play Division III Softball?? Do you have to be a four year varsity player? Two year varsity player? Or only a senior varsity player if you go to a large competitive school? Is it harder to play at a school with a history of success like the University of St. Thomas (in Minnesota) or pretty much equal? Do they focus more on academics or athletic skill?
How good are Division III gofers? What is their handicap? What are their tournament and academic resumes like? How much does being smart and being a legitimate candidate for the school without golf help? Also, how good is the last player on a team? Would there be any 5 or 6 handicaps on the team?
Im planning to play for my university soccer team in division II? I was told to create an account in NCAA Eligibility Center and I did...I already got my NCAA ID # but I dont have any transcripts from the school I graduated at the moment. Im an international student that just transfer this Fall. How important is this academic status for the desicion made by the NCAA and how long does it take for the desicion to be made for the amateur status?
Can I go Pro from a Division II school? I am looking at colleges and my academics point to a Division II school but, my athletics point to a possibility professionaly. My sport is football, Can i make the NFL draft from a Division II school? (St. Cloud State University in MN)
Interesting Academic Essay Topics? I was tasked to make a comparison & contrast or division & classification for my Academic English final exam. I don't really know what topic I want to write, so any suggestions will be appreciated. I was thinking about something related to film industry, or something historical/scientific so that there are tons of valid resource available to cite on my essay.
Why doesn't yahoo automatically make division opponents play each other twice? ok, I know this should be academic, but I just decided to make my fantasy league into 2 divisions, it's a 10-team league and once I did that I assumed that yahoo would regenerate the schedule as to have each team play their division twice, it does not do that, does anyone know of an easy way to do this, manually is way to long and confusing

Would i fit-in a Division I school with my "average" academic standing and mid to low income family background ( i Will be applying for financial aid also )? my top choices *University at Buffalo *Colgate University *St. Lawrence University *Muhlenburg College *Lafayette College *McDaniel College *Lehigh University I know a lot to answer but if you answer this thank you sooo ooooo much !
Easy Division I schools to get into? I have a 3.0 GPA (85 Average) so far and I'm a junior...I'm planning to get a 1200 on my SATs (Math & Reading). Do you guys have any suggestions to where I can get into? I want to get into a well known Division I school (basketball and football)...not as a player...but as a fan...I live and die for sports...it is #1 on my priorty list for college...not academics...I know that sounds bad but whatever.
Where should i go to get a degree to be a pilot ? I want to become a pilot for a good airline eg . Emirates or British airways. Why hasn't Division I-A football added a playoff system yet? Why are we still forced to watch these crap bowls on TV? Is anyone here interested in watching the Meineke Car Care Bowl , or some bowl between "Northern Alabama" and "Southern Ohio"? Here's a question : Which would you rather see? A 16-team bracket , march madness style , with the 16 best ranked teams competing for the national championship , or a bunch of exhibition games that don't mean anything unless the letters BCS are attached to it. You can make the claims that athletes need time for academics , but Division I-AA and I-AAA teams have a playoff too and I don't hear them complaining about their grades or finals , do you? So there is BASICALLY NO REASON why there shouldn't be a playoff. There has got to be one of you deluded individuals that thinks for some reason the BCS is "good" , that we should keep this corrupted trash system , and there shouldn't be a playoff , hence the reason this question is asked. I'd like to hear the other side of the story as to why we should keep BCS.
Academic D3 football colleges? I want to play football when I go back to college but I also want to go to a really good school. I can easily look up the list of division 3 schools but I don't know enough about them to know if they have good academics.
What type of essay is this? classification or division? There are varied reasons why students cheat during exam of making homework one of this is the fear of failing an exam, lack of knowledge, and risk taking. The majority of students think that if they fail many problems may occur such as parent’s complaints of bad grades, embarrassment from other people, and they think that the light of their future education will be harder. Most students are stressed out for the fear of failing the exams. This frequently happens when students did not review that is why some students take the risk on cheating. Lack of knowledge is also the reason of cheating, some students find a particular subject too difficult and they can not cope with it, and once this happens they no longer become interested with the subject and this result to non participation. Lack of self-confidence is also a reason why they tend to cheat. Some students risk on cheating due to peer pressure or simply because they wanted to impress their friends so that they would look cool. Another type of cheating in doing homework is plagiarism. Our new technology such as computers tend to make some students become very lazy, if students have homework they would simply search on the computer for instant answers by simply cutting and pasting someone else’s work without even acknowledging the work of that person. Plagiarism is also considered as another form of academic dishonesty. During the past 50 years, cheating has risen dramatically and because of the internet trend, plagiarized work among students became very rampant in different schools. The only reason why these students copy and paste someone else’s work is because they are too lazy to do their own research, and since answers are just a click away, and because they want to pass and complete their requirements, they would depend on the internet for answers. These students are very much concerned about their grades rather than their education. How Should Educators Deal with Cheating? Educators must first discuss the meaning of cheating and its related punishments. In order to eliminate this problem, educators must implement a stronger policy regarding cheating. Other ways to prevent cheating is to encourage every student to voice out their concerns or to approach subject teachers once they fail to understand the lesson. Teachers must make different strategies by making the class interactive by means of question and answer or simply encourage students to participate through graded recitations; this will also help teachers evaluate students whether or not they have understood the lesson. The Response of Schools Regarding Cheating I believe that the school’s response to cheating should not depend on the factors of how the work has been copied. If there would be different punishment, or if the punishment will be based depending on the grounds of how the work was copied, students would probably repeat committing the same act. In this sense, if the punishment is tolerable, students are most likely to repeat the action, whereas, if the punishment is all the same, students will be afraid or would refrain in committing those kinds of behaviors. Cheating is also considered as stealing because you use or get someone else’s work without even asking for permission. The punishment for cheating is really serious, that is why students should avoid this kind of dishonest behavior.
Know any good colleges for academics and vball? i am a high school freshman. i take all honors courses and maintain a's and 1 b. i want to good to a very good academically advanced school, however i also want to play volleyball. most of the better schools for academics have very good divsion I volleyball teams. i am only 5 3 and know i will not be able to play volleyball for division I. are there any good academic colleges that also have a division II or III volleyball team? Preferrably on the east coast?
How do I manage the transition from being a mom to teenagers to being a mom to young men? My twin sons are in their second year of college. One is moving to a shared apartment, and seems to be transitioning very well, his grades were good, and he really likes his college city. His brother had academic problems, and cannot return until he finishes his lower division requirements; so he will be living at home for at least the next year. I was all set for an empty nest, and now find myself with a new situation. I don't know where to start as far as setting rules, because he's already had a taste of independence.
Times for division 1 men's college swimming? I'm a sophomore guy on my high school swim team and I am considering swimming in college. What times(yards or meters) should i aim for to be considered by a division 1 college? Not any of the really good ones like Stanford, Texas or Auburn, but a decent school (with good academics).
What are some ideas/slogans for our yearbook theme:Crossroads? I am an editor for our school yearbook. (High School). Our theme this year is Crossroads. This is with the idea that we all come from the same place, but soon will be going in seperate directions, and at some point in our life our paths will cross. We need some ideas and or slogans for our yearbook. We need some slogans for the divisions: Student Life, Academic, Sports, People, Clubs/Oraganizations. And any other title or whatever! Please and thanks!!
Is it possible to test out of classes at the undergraduate level? I am wanting to test out of some undergraduate classes. Is there any college, particularly an ABET-accredited engineering program, that will allow this? I know this is possible in lower division, but is this possible in upper division? What are the rules about this, and how will this affect grading statistics for possibly using to get into graduate school a few years down the road? My old college wouldn't allow this, afraid they would lose their accreditation, but I want to check other options out, because I know a LOT of the academic stuff in classes that I can't seem to get credit for because they are scheduled all over the place, at inconvenient times. For example, one class I need is scheduled in the morning, then the other one I need to progress isn't until the afternoon! It's like this for every class. Any suggestions?
What are the benefits of playing baseball at a JUCO(Junior College)? I am currently a freshman in a Division 1 school. I am Red-shirting this year for academic reasons but the coaches really wanted me to come to the school because of my talent. I was thinking about transferring to a junior college to play. After my 2 years at junior college do I still have to attend a division 1 college for the 4 years or do my credits transfer? I am not sure of the circumstances can someone help.
Division 2 College athletics? I am looking into playing a college sport and i was wondering about the requirements of a division 2 college. Can anyone tell me from experience how much time they dedicate to their sport in-season and out-of-season, and how competitive most schools are at that level? Do you have time to do other things, like get a job or keep up with academics? any other info would be helpful too.
I want to transfer and on a scholarship? Right now I'm in my 2nd year at a community college and I play for the schools tennis team. The team is really good were 14-4 and I've been playing #2 or #3 singles the whole year. I've also been playing #2 doubles and even a little bit of #1 doubles. I really want to transfer to a 4 year school next year. The school I go to is in southern california and I'm always told Southern California has really good tennis. I'm willing to go anywhere. The only scholarship I'm thinking about is a 4/5 scholarship to a school in kansas. Does anybody know of any NAIA or Division 2 schools that might be able to give me a full ride. I'm willing to go anywhere. I just want free school. I also have a 3.68 GPA which should be able to get me some academic scholarships if I can't get a full ride.
How hard is it to play d2/d3 baseball? I want to play baseball for a division two or division three college in Washington or Oregon in a few years. How hard is it to make their team and get scholarships into their school. What are the athletic/academic requirements and do you know of any good schools in OR/Wa for baseball and academics? Please help!
What can be my strategy for getting into MBA in USA? If I want to study MBA in USA, are there specific academic criteria that I need to meet?? I had first class scores in secondary (71%) and higher secondary (76%) exams, had upper second division score in graduation (59%) and then had first class score (63% or so) again in PG. Please suugest any strategy that I can adopt. I am specifically aiming for scholarship or tuition fee waivers.
What classes should I take and where? I have a dilemma. I am a college senior who just switched my major to Nutrition. That means I have to take lower division classes again, many of which are prerequisites for other classes. Many of these prerequisites are chemistry and biology classes, which are hard subjects. My academic advisor told me to be sure I do mostly my chemistry and biology classes first so I can move on to the advanced classes. The problem is that I'm on academic probation (because I struggled in Accounting/Business classes which used to be my major) and i'm at the borderline GPA of getting disqualified from the university. So, I spoke with a different advisor about my situation today and she told me to only take one science class at a time (which contradicts the other advisor) since she knows they are hard classes. I need to get good grades and raise my GPA in order to stay at the university. What should I do? Taking some of my classes at a community college (usually easier) is also an option.
Division III Baseball? I was recently rated by a scout as just missing the cut off for Div. I baseball skill wise. I've looked into Div. II schools, however the quality of schools are lacking in academics compared to Div. III schools. However, I have a 3.6 GPA and 1800 combined on SATs. Would a division III school accept me even if I'm slightly below their academic qualifications just because I would be playing baseball for them? I know this is much more prevalent at Div. I. But would this be possible at Div. III level. Some schools I'm interested in are Amherst, Williams, Trinity, Emory, Ithaca, Mary Washington, York, Johns Hopkins, Oneonta
Should Division 1 College Football Players get Paid or Not? I recently wrote a paper for my English class, at Penn State University, comparing and contrasting whether or not division 1 college football athletes should be paid or not. While writing this paper I found numerous sources debating the topic and I realized how popular this subject actually is. At first, I thought that it was only us football players who wanted to get paid, but I soon realized there are a lot of people who are debating this topic all the time. During my research I found a lot of helpful information and points that agree and disagree with both sides. Looking at all of my information, I pulled out three main points or questions that I believed had the most information on both sides to compare and contrast. Looking at this debate question there were three arguments I thought were the best for both sides to argue upon. First argument I had was, should college athletes get or not get a portion of the money that is made with the entertainment they provide. Second, will getting paid help or hinder college athletes in the academic aspect. Third, will paying a college athlete make them selfish and make them lose their real desire to play the game or will it help them succeed in everyday life and grow as an adult? These arguments I thought were the main contributors to the contrast between paying and not paying college football players. However, I would really like people to look at these points and tell me what you think about them and if there are better points that I could have used. Also, seeing all of the different points while researching really intrigued me to hear more points and thoughts on this subject from more people. I would love to hear new points that you might want to share. Please feel free to give more debatable material or thoughts that you have regarding this topic. Thanks and leave comments!
Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division? I was recently academically dismissed from my university due to personal reasons and poor academics. What is the likelihood that I will be accepted to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division?
If I am planning to play Division 1 football and be in the NFL would it be better if I major in a light major? I had previously lost an academic scholarship from my old university in engineering because I was not doing well. So I had went to a Juco college for the last 2 years and it seems I can get an athletic scholarship for Division 1 football. I am considering to do a light major like Kinesiology instead of engineering because I want to get a college degree first and I dont want to do something hard that will take away from my practice time. However, if I don't make it to the NFL after graduating from college then I might do a second undergraduate degree in engineering elsewhere.
What does it take to be a Division 1 football player? I really want to play division 1 football, particularly at a BCS school. I'm 6 ft.3 in. and 240 lbs. I'm a defensive end and offensive tackle, but I'm better at end. I will be a junior in HS next year, and it will be my 2nd year of football in my life. Academic wise, I will be in 2 honors classes next year, one of them college level, obviously, I'm on the football team, I have a 3.2 GPA, which will increase next year, and I'm a member of the school orchestra. I hope to play in the NFL someday when I graduate college. Would colleges like that? Any advice? Also, I'm having trouble remembering the plays on offense. I will add more details if i can think of any. Oh, and I attend a Catholic high school.
How to asses my athletic talent when deciding on a college? I am interested in pursuing baseball into college and would like to know the difference in talent level between the three divisions. How can I assess my own talent to see what division I belong in. This is with academics aside, just for curiosities sake. Any help is appreciated.
am i good enough to play division 1 football? weight:148lbs grade:8th academics:3.89 Position:HB/FB/Strong Outside LB 40 yd dash time:4.9 i had 18 touchdowns my last season. Am i good enough to play div 1 football or any other college/unversity,etc.
If you sign an athletic scholarship at the end of the season can you get cut by the coach after two games? Someone gets an athletic scholarship from an NCAA division 1 team after not being on scholarship for the year before. The coach has you sign a scholarship in the spring for next fall. The season begins in the Fall, early August and after having participated in two pre-season games can that person be cut from the team? Is the scholarship binding for that year as far as being on the team and receiving the aid? What would be the point of cutting someone that is on scholarship if it was not for behavioral or academic problems? help?

Help!! Division III Baseball schools with good academics!? I've been told by scouts that I am the cream of the crop as it goes for Div. II ball players. However, Div. II schools aren't really that great. There are better Div.III schools out there for both baseball and academics. I've been looking into the NESCAC for schools like Williams and Amherst, but I have a 3.6 average with APs and a horrible 1600 on all three parts of the SAT. If I boost it up to 1800 what schools in the Northeast or at least East Coast Div. III Baseball fit me best?
What are some job titles in the Construction Field? I am creating our elementary yearbook around the theme "Academic Success Under Construction." I would like to rename our Administration, Office Staff, Teachers, etc with related construction worker job titles. For example, our SPED teachers will be our "Instruction Crew." Counselors will be our Safety Directors. Can you help me creatively rename our divisions for our K-5 yearbook?
Which Division I school has the best academics??? Just the main 6 (Big 10, ACC, Pac-10, SEC, Big East, Big 12) I meant conference not school. I think ACC is the worst!!! Beside Vanderbilt and GaTech, they have a few nice schools, but they're academics are pretty mediocre!!! I mean SEC (I gotta stop it!!!lol) I think Pac 10 is second because though those schools listed are monsters, the rest pretty much suck, and that's what weighs it down!!! I just did my research on G Tech. I stand corrected!!! Illinois is a good school too. Has one of the top business and engineering programs. Lest not 4get that.
What are the classroom divisions in Japanese schools? In a lot of the anime, I see school rooms labeled 1-A, 2-B, etc all the way to F. Is this equivalent to Wing 1, 2 etc in American schools? Recently I watched an anime series where the students of classroom F were not respected. Does this have some truth to it or is it an exaggeration? Are Japanese students separated into homerooms according to academic levels? Thanks!
Whats the big problem with a playoff system in Division 1A football? It just makes more sense: Take the top 8 or 16 teams in the BCS and put them in a regular playoff system! Sure people would be upset if their team was on the outside, but if that team was in theyd play the 1 or 2 seed, and your excluding the 9th or 17th team, not the third (who has a legit shot of winning) For those who say it would interfere with academics: They arent in school in December, but your ok with teams playing on Tues Thurs and Fri when they actually have school? Every other sport has a tournament why shouldnt Division 1A football? You can take the big bowl games (Cotton Outback Capital One through Rose Orange etc) and make them the venues. Start the playoffs like the first week of bowl games. If it is a 16 team then start on the 20th, play that weekend. then the next weekend etc. it would take an extra week true, but an 8 team would finish nicely on the first.
Does anyone know about taking classes for Network Systems Design? I want to take these classes but I'm not a super computer geek. I like computers but I don't know a lot about them. Would I be able to take these classes? What kind of jobs could I get once I earn the certificate? Here is the link to the courses. Maybe the link will work. http://www.clscc.cc.tn.us/academics/divisions/business_technology/technology_department/network_design.asp
hey help me to do a poem about the outsiders "ponyboy"? The novel’s fourteen-year-old narrator and protagonist, and the youngest of the greasers. Ponyboy’s literary interests and academic accomplishments set him apart from the rest of his gang. Because his parents have died in a car accident, Ponyboy lives with his brothers Darry and Sodapop. Darry repeatedly accuses Ponyboy of lacking common sense, but Ponyboy is a reliable and observant narrator. Throughout the novel, Ponyboy struggles with class division, violence, innocence, and familial love. He matures over the course of the novel, eventually realizing the importance of strength in the face of class bias.
Where have you gone to study anthropology abroad? I already finished ALL of my GE's and I'm now working on my anthro and upper division stuff, I'd like to study abroad for a semester or summer. Where have you gone to study anthropology? I haven't decided yet, but I'm interested in both physical and cultural, archaeology doesn't scream out at me but could be interesting too, I have no idea about linguistics though, I haven't taken any classes yet... What were your experiences in searching for a program and actually studying abroad? What kind of studying work did you do? Was it mainly academic [taking classes at host universities] or did you do any field work? Where and when [what time of year] did you go? What kind of classes were you able to take? I'd love to hear your input on your exp while studying abroad, even if you're not an anthro major... =)
UCLA academic competitiveness??? i am planning on attending UCLA this fall as a transfer student and i known that UCLA is very competitive..but how competitive is it...i have been told that your class grade consists of one exam and a final is that true?? i know that all classes are different..but do you really have only a couple opportunities to do well? i am a biochemistry major. any info would be greatly appreciated.thanks *this question applies to both lower and upper division classes.
Do most medical schools weigh more on upperdivision courses? I currently have a GPA slightly below a 3.0, but still have over 100 units to go (I'm a bioengineering student with a minor). I had a rough start at university, but according to my academic counselor, I still have the ability to graduate university with a GPA of 3.5. I've been doing well in my upperdivision courses (aced organic chemistry courses) and hopefully will do well in my engineering upperdivs. My first two years at uni I didn't do so well because I was really spreading myself thin (helping start up a medical clinic in Africa, working as an undergrad research associate in a laboratory, heavy involvement in several community service organizations, etc). I'm a first generation university student in my family and learned the hard way the consequences of poor time management. I was wondering if medical schools, as well as graduate schools in general, weighed upper division courses more than lower division courses. Thanks!
Should I go to college or a semester-year of postgraduate school? I play football, and I want a shot at going to the NFL, but the college I got into is Division III and it is virtualy impossible to go the the NFL from a Division III school. But the college I got into is the second best liberal arts school in the nation. If I go to a postgraduate school, I will be able to go to a Division I school, one that has great academics, and have a much greater chance of going to the NFL. I just don't know if I should go to one of the nations best colleges and risk not going to the NFL, or take a one semester-year off from my life to go to a postgraduate school. Because if I get hurt at the postgraduate school, not only will I say goodbe to a possible NFL career, but also to a prestigous education...WHAT SHOULD I DO
help! academic appeal? this is my first year in college and i've taken on many responsibilities. i've become a club president, student government association senator and representative, i've join five other clubs and carry out each of my duties with them. even though with all of this extra stuff, i still find time for my grades. i'm making almost straight a's(got one b) and d in english. i feel i don't deserve this d. the teacher told me she doesn't really grade my work she just marks for wrong answers. for some reason i cant get an a in there and english is my best subject. since i've been in the class she's cussed me out, told me writing is illogical(which isn't true, won many awards for my writing, featured in newspaper, and place very highly in state tests) and i received nothing but 30s,40s, and 55s. she's refuse to help me serveral times on big reseach papers,(got outside help from school writing center, which resulted into me getting an 40) and for our final exam(which was due one day after we recieved it), everyone chose to the easy essay about writting(one page) while i chose the to write a sequal for a play(15 pages) which still didn't get me an a, my overall grade for this was an 62 and it's stopping me for going to english 2. the only way i was told how to fight this was visit the head of chairs over her division(who also shares an office with the teacher im fueding) and write an appeal . i no experience in this kind of thing, and i wouldnt know what to include and what to exclude........
How rigorous are the academic entrance requirements for PA programs? ? I've done a bit of research by browsing the web sites of several PA programs, and have an idea of what the average application requirements are for PA programs. However, I would appreciate some information regarding what kind of applicant (academically) is generally accepted rather than the minimum. I am a bit worried about my GPA being a bit low and not exactly as competitive as I would like it to be. While I don’t think a 2.9 is atrocious, it’s not something I can be proud of. I’m a double major in micro/molecular biology and biotechnology and currently in my fourth year. I have taken a plethora of upper division courses that have proven to be quite challenging; courses which seem to greatly exceed application requirements. I was wondering if that could perchance offset my lower GPA to some degree. I realize that other attributes are considered in addition to GPA (GRE score, letters of recommendation, volunteering etc.) however, it is my GPA which worries me the most. Since I am a double major I still have another semester or two to bring up my GPA before I graduate, and I’m confident I can raise it to above a 3.0. Any input would be appreciated!
What questions would you ask Colon Powell? Your recent endorsement of Barack Obama raises some questions that I think the voters deserve to have answered: 1. Mr. Obama has repeatedly stated that he wishes to be president so that the next four years are "not like the last eight." You were the Secretary of State during the first three years of "the last eight." Do you reject the value of your own efforts and work during your time as Secretary of State? 2. Mr. Obama has largely achieved his success as an "opponent" of American involvement in Iraq, though he was not a member of Congress at the time that Congress authorized American military action. It was you who presented the case of the Administration for the authorization. Do you now reject your own actions? Were you misinformed at the time or intentionally misinforming? 3. You claim that one of the decisions that Mr. Obama has made wisely was the selection of Mr. Biden as his running mate. Was it sagacious for Mr. Biden to vote against authorizing American military action in the first Gulf War or for it in the second? What specific policy achievements of Mr. Biden do you admire? Do you admire his dishonesty during his 1988 presidential campaign, causing it to come to aninglorious end, or do you admire his unbridled verbosity, which often leads to indefensible gaffes? 4. You claim that Mr. McCain's selection of Mrs. Palin as a running mate was a reason that you cannot support him, largely due to her "inexperience." You claim that you have only known Mr. Obama for "two years." Would you please clarify what experiences Mr. Obama has had that Mrs. Palin lacks? 5. The organized "Left" has embraced Mr. Obama as the first "post-racial" candidate for President yet African-American leaders, such as Congressman John Lewis have compared Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin to the worst segregationists when they have raised legitimate questions about the ties between Mr. Obama and several rather unsavory characters, such as Tony Rezko, William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and a host of others. Do you think the characterizations offered by Mr. Lewis and others have been helpful in healing the nation's racial wounds? 6. If Mr. Obama is, indeed, a "post-racial" candidate should the electorate reflect any racial divisions? Was race the primary factor in your endorsement? If not, what other factors aided your decision? 7. You state that Mr. Obama is best suited to improve the nation's economy? What qualifies you to make such a judgment? What economic expertise do you offer? What in Mr. Obama's agenda do you see as most helpful to the economy, increasing tax rates on higher income payers, nationalization of large portions of the economy, such as health care, or something else? 8. You state that the Republican Party has become "narrower and narrower," yet Mr. McCain is arguably the most moderate Republican to receive his party's nomination in nearly seventy years and Mr. Obama is clearly the most liberal Democratic nominee ever. The Republican Party has nominated both African-Americans who have served as Secretary of State, including you. The Democratic Party has slowly become a coalition of academic elites and urban dwellers with almost no strength in suburban or rural areas. Please clarify how you reached your conclusions about the narrowing of the Republican Party. Mr. Powell, you have served our country well as a military leader, and the Republican Party has served you well. If you believe that you entitled to make a public statement of your preferences, the American people are entitled to understand your reasoning. An Indiana Voter
Can I avail a Educational Loan with a 3rd division mark in 12th Standard? I am from INDIA & now doing GNIIT (a degree equivallent to MCA) & the total cost of this course is around Rs.100000 [1 Lakh]. But I am not in such a situation that I really can afford that. I have already taken the admission there, but don't know how to pay them monthly. So, I am seeking for a educational loan. I secured 80% marks in 10th. But due to my poor health problems, I became able to get only 40% marks in 12th. So, now is there any bank which can provide me study loan to read further. As far as I know all of them want 1st class marks through out the academic exams. So, is there any way I can avail that? Kindly Guide Me. Thanks a lot in advance.
Nick Saban commenting on USF standards? We all know USF football has a bunch of thugs. But is it hypocritical? Can't 70+ other division 1 schools call out Alabama about academic standards? Hey Bud, you even sound like a thug in your response. Mangoda....You make very little sense. Do you get your info from the Scholar Athlete commercials presented by the new Jeep Liberty? thug-noun meaning talk to the cameras and flash your bling while the game is in the 2nd quarter....see Miami Hurricanes ONLY the Hurricanes had championships to back up their nonsense. Don't just go by GPA. Wouldn't Auburn's proffesors be the ones giving out the grades?
What can I do about my life? I have always wanted to train in wrestling either freestyle or greco roman in the olympics, but before this I want to go to ncaa division 1 and wrestle collegiate. This is my goal in life, but my parents want me stuck to academics. I don't mind being a nutritionist/physical trainer or college wrestling coach after my education, but they're the type that expect nothing less than a doctor out of me. Wow!
Is Liberty University good for academics? I'm considering Liberty but I have heard the academics aren't very good. I have a 4.1 GPA (that's weighted) and AP classes, along with several extracurric's and Ntl Honor Society. I know they have Division I soccer or whatever, but I'm not going for sports. Listen, I know they are a Christian university and you may not agree with Jerry Falwell, but I'm just asking about the academics. Thanks so much! :)
