Does this school sound good to you? I recently applied but now regret it, this is the info i found about the school and is not accredited: In January 2007, the New York State Education Department reported deficiencies at the Katharine Gibbs New York campus. The problems related to faculty qualifications and remedial course offerings. New enrollment has been limited and the Education Department has stated it will close the college if improvements are not made. In the fall of 2006, Career Education Corporation announced that the entire Gibbs College division was being put up for sale. Over the next year, no buyer could be found, so on Thursday, February 14, 2008, Career Education Corporation announced that it would convert two of the nine campuses in the Gibbs division (Vienna, Virginia and Melville, New York) to its Sanford-Brown College brand and "teach out" the remaining seven schools in the division. Those seven campuses were scheduled to close in December 2009. The decision resulted in the cancellation of all new enrollments and a massive reduction in workforce. Students are still being admitted into the Melville, New York campus What do you think, best answer gets 10Pt's
Can I take legal action against the college I recently graduated from, and if so what can I do? I recently graduated from Missouri College (Career Education Corporation). I was part of the first cohort of students to graduate from the dental hygiene program. From my class 10 of the 25 students failed the clinical portion of the national board test, to include myself. From speaking with my former classmates no one feels confident in what they have learned and are overall disappointed with the education and preparation we have received. One student's father is a dentist and asked her to show him her skills on a family member post graduation. From what she has said, he and his current hygienist were very disappointed in her ability to preform basic functions of a hygienist. Another problem we have faced, among many more, is that the students who failed, repeatedly received high grades and repeatedly informed that we were doing a great job. To speak on behalf of myself and many of my former class mates, we are extremely disappointed and feel we paid $40K for very little.
What career options are there in exercise / fitness? I am a college student and am looking at careers in the fitness industry. I previously had wanted to major in business but the thought of spending all day in an office working working for some corporation is becoming very depressing to me and I feel it would lead to a low level of satisfaction in my life as I age. I consider myself to be intelligent and dedicated and am want to receive a bachelor's degree as well as any other necessary education so what I am wondering is what career options are there for me outside of being a basic personal trainer and what type of income can these jobs provide? Any input is appreciated. I wanted to mention that I live in southern California and would be willing to move around the area as I get older.. I get the feeling that there are a lot of opportunities in this area in the fitness field in comparison to other areas (I used to live elsewhere)
What are some career options for someone joining the workforce after a gap of ten years? My sister has a diploma in software and used to work as a trainer teaching computer skills to employees of large corporations. This was ten years ago in India. Then she got married, moved to the USA, and became a stay-at-home mom. Now she wants to get an education and go back to the workforce. She intends to continue living in the States. What are some good career options for her? Thank you for any ideas.
What education/experience would help someone move up in the grocery store business/corporation? I have a friend who wanted me to ask this online since he doesn't have Internet. He works as a cashier right now and was thinking about possibly pursuing a career in the grocery store business, but wants to move his way up. He wants to move up past the usual cashier/manager positions to corporate business, or other areas higher than what he's at right now. He wants to know what type of education/experience/areas he needs for a resume, and what to do for networking, etc. Does anyone have any practical advice?
Our education system is messed up? It's pretty dumb that students have to torture themselves with all this work, just for some future career in a retarded corporation. Is this REALLY what you want? Think back to when you were a little girl/boy did you HONESTLY want to be an Accountant? The system and the path it takes to get certain careers are so fucked up. Robs kids of creativity and passion. Kids dont want to be Astronauts and Artists anymore. They all get into college and matriculate into Business mode, Doctor Mode or Lawyer Mode. It's way too predictable. What do you think?

Pharmacy vs. Business career. Are you satisfied with your career? I'm thinking of going back to school to become a pharmacist. Financially, it seems like staying with a corporation would be better but not everyone has the connections or Ivy League education to become a CEO. I don't have any ideas to start my own business. I'm worried that eventually I'll be middle aged with no prospects for advancement. My parents are at that stage now. They work with budgets. Working in pharmacy would be a bit of a step up for me. I like going to school. When I was little I used to think about being a doctor but changed my mind when I saw that it was a long and stressful process. It seems like I could earn a pharmacy degree and another degree in the time it takes to become a doctor. Any pharmacists or pharmacy professors out there? Doctors or business people? Are you satisfied with your careers? Do you get vacation time? Do you have time to spend with your family?
Let's try this again... when teaching *isn't* your first career choice? I posted this question earlier and not only did I get few answers, but the answers I didn't seem credible. I am currently majoring in Liberal Arts. I have many different interest but they all go back to English, Literature, Language Arts and the like. I have an interest in Journalism, possibly being a Technical Writer or even a Primary or Early Elementary school teacher. The biggest concern that I have is mostly about the salary that teachers are paid, in contrast to that of a Technical Writer's annual salary (apparently it starts at 50k.) Are there any teachers or teacher's aides out there who had another profession prior to choosing Education? I really don't find, "Either you pick teaching or you don't. That's it," to be a credible answer, seeing as how half of my professors at college initially did something else. For example, my Journalism teacher majored in Communications and Literature, had every intention of becoming a journalist but had to change careers. I have a Math professor who was a senior financial consultant for a large corporation and when he was laid off, he went into teaching. I have another professor who worked for Ford for 30+ years and since he was laid off he has now gone on to teach Business courses. Hell, even my significant other is in the IT field and has taught classes here and there for computer systems and software applications. I know for a fact that you don't HAVE to choose teaching as a major or even a first career choice to end up in Education. I just want to hear someone's personal experience. Cecilia - Thank you. That really helped a lot.
What are the hot or higher growth industries of today or tomorrow with above average employment opportunities? I'm thinking on making a major career change and would like to get into a hot growth industry. I'm at a middle management level in a large corporation but am qualified to be senior management at a smaller company. If additional training or education is required, I can do that. I just want to choose something with genuine upward mobility potential. What industries or businesses do you recommend? Also, what parts of the US or the world would you recommend as I am willing to relocate from my current state of Texas.
Which career opporutnity do I accept? I am 25 years old and I am currently employed with a corporation as a sales manager in California which I have been with for two years. I have been interviewing with two companies to bring me back to Chicago and both companies offer cars and equally good benifits. I have two offers on the table and I really need advice which route to take. Career 1: Company will give me an existing territory of $10,000,000 that consists of Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. They will also put me through their in house training "University" which will look like a PHD in the industry for these products. This company is the largest manufacturer of these products in the world with limit-less possibilities of promotional opportunities within. The problem is that the salary will be the same as my current job through the 6 month training program which then I will get a $5,000 pay increase on my salary. This company also offers a yearly bonus up to 40% of the salary which could turn out to be a total of $95,000 (salary+bonuses) in the beginning years of my career. Lastly this company has a huge product offering and the best technical support in the nation. Career2: Also a mulit billion dollar corporation, but a small division within the company that is relatively new to the industry. This company will start me with no existing business but extra $7,500/ year on my salary with quarterly bonuses up to 25% of the salary for the year. I will also have a larger territory which means more travel as well. With this company there is only one product line to sell. The issue is that money is really tight and the extra $7500 a year on the salary will help out big time in comparison to the other opportunity. So which would you take the guarenteed long-term career with promotional opportunities, more money in the long run and the education with existing business with a smaller salary or the more up front cash on the salary with no existing business with a large company with a division in the early stages? I am so stressed out about this and I really need advice! Thank you
Career Development Help Needed !!!!!? Dear Friends I am a software engineer, with 7 years of industry experience. I now want to move away from regular coding since I felt its really boring for me. I want to take up the kind of managerial tasks and in 10 years I want to grow as a Vice-President of a corporation. What should I do to get to this place. Can you point me a direction to reach this goal. What should I study? Will 6-sigma green/black belts useful? or PMP certification help? Should I look for MBA. I cant afford to do regular, then what are the choices? Should I rather do MS through correspondence? My education is MCA from a tier-2 college. I have a passion for travel, photography, food, yoga, meditation and meeting people. I am a hard worker, but I dont know how to influence people around me. Because of this others are taking credit and getting promoted for the work I do. I feel I dont have luck at all in life. For instance if there is an interview I will clear all 9 rounds and in the 10th round I flunk due to some silly mistake. Because of which, I am stressed, not sleeping, eating etc and its ageing me fast. My passion list clearly shows that computer is not my cup of tea. I read and know that we should work along on the things we are passionate about so we can enjoy even though it may not fetch a high salary at the moment. I cant afford to leave my job since I have a 6 member family relying on me. But how can I develop my parellel career. I am in Pune-India. From my passion point of view what would be the careers you would suggest? Is there a career website which will help me to find what to do? Can I get an online GodFather/Mentor for me? How and Where? What should I do now? How can I get the answers to my questions on my mind?
What is the easiest way to become certified in education so I can teach in NYS? I currently hold bachelors degrees in Math and Physics and a masters degree in electrical engineering. I have been working for a large corporation for about 2 years now in various roles and I am seriously contemplating a career change. Most of my friends from college are teachers and I have always considered that as a career but never bothered to obtain certification. What are the steps I need to take in order to obtain certification to teach at public schools in NYS and how can I do this without having to take too much time off from working or forking over tons of money for another degree? I have been told that with my degrees and technical skills I could get a job at a school as an assistant and they would pay for me to get all the education classes taken care of. I also heard I could teach at a charter school or private school to get experience while getting certified but that the pay is not as great. Please advise if you feel you can provide any valuable information.
Going from Engineering to Special Education and worried!? I am currently a Biomedical Engineering student. I LOVE MATH, science, some physics, and all analytical things. However, I cannot stand engineering. Why? I don't know. I don't want to work for a big corporation all my life. I don't want to work in a male dominated atmosphere (I had a job at a rapid prototyping center and the males were horrible to work with- i.e. "Oop, go do that with Sophie, she's a girl." "Why are females so ______?" I always wanted to go into a field where I could help people who really need it (the underdogs)- originally I wanted to go to med school and work at a free clinic. Money is NOT an issue. I really want to work with kids who have special needs- give them the care and attention and good teaching they need. But I am SO SCARED that I am going to miss calculus, and thermodynamics, etc, etc. How can I incorporate these things into my life without a career in them?
Would you consider an "encore career" working for a non-profit group or charity? I might consider doing this. "The bill sets up Encore fellowships in each state, with as many as 10 fellows per state. Individuals would help carry out service projects "in areas of national need," including education, health, energy and the environment, and poverty. The program provides training for fellows to move into full- or part-time service in the nonprofit sector or government. The Corporation for National and Community Service, which also runs AmeriCorps, would select the fellows and potential "host" agencies. The federal government would pay each fellow a stipend of $11,000 a year and require the host agency to at least match that amount." "Edward M. Kennedy National Service Act, which Congress has passed and President Obama is expected to sign shortly." ~"Law Opens Up 'Encore' Careers", by Kelly Greene, The Wall Steet Journal, 2 April 2009. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123863704304281321.html
Truthfully, what types of jobs can one land with a Masters of Public Administration? I have been working as a counselor for one year now for a corporation for DOL. I am 25 years old and considering to further my education and get a Masters in Public Administration. It is so hard to get straight answers as to the careers and salaries one can obtain with this type of degree. I do know that from what I have studied, I would enjoy this program because I like to work with people and one one of my strong points is my communication skills.
Should I get an MBA or go to Law School? I graduated two years ago from my undergrad degree. I’m now working at a big financial corporation. I know I want to continue my education, but I’m wondering if I should go for my J.D. or MBA. I’m hoping that someone with either an MBA or J.D. can tell me about his/her experience with the career after school.
What are some career possibilities with a Psychology degree? I'm thinking about becoming a Psychology major when I go to college, but I want to know what level of education I need in that field to have a stable, long-term career. What can I do with a Bachelor's what more could I do with a Master's and which are only restricted to those with a Doctorate? Or more simply, what about those psychologists who work in schools or big corporations whose clients are the students of that school or the workers in that company? I'm assuming a Master's is enough for that job? Or I could be wrong.. A school counselor as in academic counselor or the one that has 'School Psychologist' on her door?

What should I do about my level of education and my desire for a job in CA? Here's my situation. I'm 26 and a software developer living in CO. However, I have an embarrassing academic background (associate's from Westwood College). This is a result of my ignorance and lack of research when I made the decision when I was 18. The school sucked, but I made the best of it and was fortunate to find a job after getting a two-year degree and to perform well enough to make a good salary (80k) where I live, and am debt free. However, it seems this is going to come back to bite me, as I now want to move to San Francisco and look for another job as my company was bought out by a large corporation and things are heading south. My concern is that California obviously has fierce competition (think Google). Credits from Westwood will transfer nowhere. Should I go back to school (6yrs)? I hate the idea of spending lots of time & money (especially while in a demanding career) to prove I deserve a B.S. when I've spent so much time on self study and proven myself in other ways

how did you prepare your children for a new adopted child? im a established 27 yr old single mom. i spent years working for a corporation before i decided to return to college and obtain another degree. im almost finished with school and will begin a new career in education.i have a 6 yr old daughter and i do desire to have more children. i wanted them to be biological but only if i was to marry again.ive decided though that i may adopt, whether i marry again or not since being married is not a requirement to being a adoptive parent and the fact that there are so many children who deserve a loving home.i mentioned this fact to my daughter just to test the waters and she told me flat out "no". she stated that she wanted to be an only child and would not be happy if had another child, biologically or adopted. i know she's only 6 but she would be a huge part of my decision to begin the process of adoption. if i dont think she will be 100% comfortable with this, i wont do it. so to the adoptive parents here, how did you prepare your children for this process? was it hard? did you consider your children's opinion during the adoption process?
how do i tell my story to the world? To all this may concern: I write to you in hopes that you can help me tell my story that ruined my life for the simple fact that I was of Arab descent. I am first generation American whose parents are Palestinians; my name is Eyad Shalash. The United States Federal Government appallingly took my freedom and all that was familiar to me in seconds--only to dismiss the case days before trial and with absolutely no apology. I whole heartedly believe I was a victim of racial profiling. I never had anticipated myself ever having to write anyone the way I am now. I was a senior at University of South Carolina, on the Life Scholarship, double majoring in international business and finance. I held the esteem position of being on the Dean's List for the three semesters prior to my senior year, as well. The Charges that were brought against me from the Federal Government was that of a sealed indictment, so at the time I had absolutely no idea what was going on. In fact, I thought it was a sick joke because I knew myself one not to mess with anything remotely illegal---moreover, a sealed indictment? I felt as if I was being treated like a member of Al-Qaieda. Maybe because of my Arab descent, they felt that I was a danger to homeland security? Sadly, I'll never know. Anyway, I suffered major losses. One that hit home was losing my internship with Merrill Lynch because of the farce of an ongoing investigation into which they were pouring useless energy. The following which I will explain not only caused me to suffer with my education and career but nearly caused my mother a stroke. The ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearm agency) in ways I'll never understand accused my older brother and I for selling crack cocaine and ecstasy with sentences that reached twenty to life. It was 2005 and supposedly their whole investigation started the beginning of 2002---only a few months after the horrific terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Buildings. They shackled my brother as if he was a serial killer and told me to turn myself in or they'll have to take me in. Not knowing, at the time, what the possible problem could be, I obliged. I never believed in the Land of the Free, the land of justice and liberty for all, that i would be fighting for my innocence. Only Two weeks from trial, my lawyer informed me that the case was dismissed. Overjoyed, at first, I was. Only to become so infuriated that I became severely ill and had a dangerously high fever. Thoughts rushed through my head, why should I be happy to get my freedom back? It should not have been taken away from me in the first place! Yet, I did not even get back all my freedom. It has been nearly a year from the day I was accused of all this and still unemployed today because everywhere I apply, I get rejected once they do a background check on me. After all this, one would think the Government would at least take everything off my record that they placed. I have become cynical in the sense of why would the Government go through the hassle of cleaning up their own mess--I am nothing in their eyes. The Government still has their mark on my "criminal" history record. I was robbed of everything that I accomplished and no apology given. My education was everything I had. Each day in school was like a brick that I used to build my house of success, and once I reached placing the roof of my house, a bulldozer comes and demolishes the years of hard work in seconds. On top of that, they take the bricks with them hindering my ability to even start again. I was fortunate enough that my family had the money for the lawyer that we had, but we lost over one hundred thousand dollars to them, along with all my dreams and hopes of ever working for a big corporation. Yes, I live in the USA, the country that gives you the most freedom in the world and the country that can rip them away in a split second even if they just do it by mistake. I feel my life is hopeless now. All my dreams of success have now all faded away. I sometimes regret waking up in the morning, jobless at the age of 23 with a college degree. All I ask is for some help or at least for a finger pointing me in the right direction where I can get help. Or at the least, an apology to give me hope in this country once more. More of this story was in the front page of the Charleston paper; I copied that and attached it as well. Sincerely, Eyad Shalash
Please correct these highlighted mistakes as well...? 7. On the threat by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to sue him over his alleged remarks that the former deputy prime minister is a Jewish agent and a traitor to the Malay cause, Khairy said he would not apologise for anything he had said. 8. He said being bilingual was nothing unusual and today’s employers would view a potential employee who knew three languages as someone who could be chief executive officer or vice-president of a company. 9. “It is important to master languages. While I do not want a discrimination of languages, do not forget the need to be fluent in certain languages. You have to value language as a communication tool,” he told reporters yesterday after launching the My Career & Education Fair 2007. 10. Khairy said graduates needed to ensure they were fluent in a few languages instead of complaining about the strict conditions a company might impose on them requiring them to speak certain languages. 11. He was asked to comment on whether being proficient in Mandarin was now seen as an advantage in the working environment. 12. Khairy also reminded fresh graduates not to be fussy when seeking their first or second jobs, as these were the ones that would provide them the experience and knowledge to get their “dream job” in the future. 13. He said the problem facing the employment market was matching the existing skills of a worker with the available jobs. 14. Khairy said those who graduated with a Master’s degree should not immediately assume that they would be employed, as their qualification may not match the job they applied for. 15. Earlier in his speech, he said globalisation was not just a threat but also offered many opportunities where large foreign corporations had a “fierce desire” to market their services to Malaysians besides using the country as a hub for other Asean countries. A million thanks for those who could explain these mistakes. Anything wrong with the language?
Here is my solution (and Im a Liberal)...? Pull our troops out of Iraq as soon as possible, bring them home and get ready to defend ourselves against North Korea or Iran if need be. Funnel the money being spent on the war to paying off the huge deficit. Reinstate the Pay-Go rules of budgeting. Tax any entity (person or corporation) making $1 million or more per year at 50%. Anyone under $30,000/year at 5%. Pay more state tax and less federal tax. Bring back states rights to decide on a majority of issues. Grant amnesty to illegal immigrants first, then secure the border, and then change quotas to get rid of back log. Completely separate church from state and eliminate religious tax exemptions. Legalize drugs in personal use quantities, stop fighting the war on drugs, and spend that money on education and creating career opportunities for people with low education. That is the short of what I think this country needs, Less laws and government not more. Whether you are left or right do you agree? What would you do different? 50% tax on 1 million dollars would be $500,000/year net. 5% tax on $30,000 would be $28,500. Which one would you rather have...making 500k and giving the government half, or only making 28.5k and giving the government a very small piece? Obviously you want more, so it would still encourage you to make more money and promote capitalism. The argument that taxing the rich isnt fair or doesnt work is a fallacy. It is certainly fair and would certainly work if politicians quit taking bribes long enough to fix the tax code and enforce in on the richest people in this country.
Pros and cons of doing another bachelor's degree? I finished a liberal arts BA in 04'. I'm 28 now. Lately, I feel my education is not inabling me for challenging careers (I do crap office work for a corporation-business is the profession of dullness and I feel is for those who lack any ounce of imagination). Over the past months I've found myself intensely interested in physics/astronomy and other sciences. It seems science has a potential that I wrongfully dismissed in my early years, a potential that could satisfy me more intellectually and career-wise. The only problem is time and money. I'm already 28. By the time I would start a new major I'd be 29-probably 33 when I finish. I still have 20 grand of loan payments from my first degree. My parents and girlfriend are against the idea-saying I should spend my time and money, if I decide to go back to school, on a master's in my field. Anyone deal with these issues? How did it turn out for you? Are there other things besides time and money I should be considering that I'm not? Thank
Mcdonald's has a website just for black people? did you know that? I didn't until today. the address is http://www.365black.com/365black/index.jsp and in there what is section it reads: WHAT IS 365BLACK? At McDonald's®, we believe that African-American culture and achievement should be celebrated 365 days a year — not just during Black History Month. That's the idea behind 365Black.com. It's a place where you can learn more about education, employment, career advancement and entrepreneurship opportunities, and meet real people whose lives have been touched by McDonald's. Plus, you can also have a chance to win exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. So make sure you visit often — you just might get inspired. How does it make you feel to know that McDonald's is pandering to black people. Personally I think it's disgusting. Who ever in the McDonald's corporation thought this was a good idea needs their head examined. What about the rest of the community? Why single out black people. What about Asians, Hispanics, American Indians etc. I don't often go to McDonald's maybe once or twice a year but they can forget that now. I'll not give my money to a company that doesn't support the entire community as a whole.
Is it worth it to switch careers if miserable even though the cost of education is high? I know there are a lot of jobs within engineering, but the only reason I got the degree was pressure from my family. I think it had to do with my family being all engineers and becoming company owners, or high ranking members within corporations. My grandpa has a design build engineering company, my dad is the vice president of that company, and my uncle is a CEO of a design build company that specializes in building and updating industrial plants, office buildings, and other structures. What I really want to do is be a doctor, and with all the pressure my family puts on me to do a certain thing, it seems unreasonable to tell them what I want to do. I find no interest in engineering, whether it be technology, building, or designing. I am good at math and science though, so the degree was not too challenging for me. Even though my family has decent money, they may still make me pay for my education, would the salary of a specialist outway the decision for more schooling with loans? Would more schooling be a bad idea?
Could you summarize or comment on the following article? About The Board The Indiana Professional Standards Board is established to govern teacher training and licensing programs. Notwithstanding any other law, the board and the board's staff have sole authority and responsibility for making recommendations concerning and otherwise governing teacher training and teacher licensing matters. Public Law 46-1992 With these words the state legislature in 1992 created and empowered the Indiana Professional Standards Board. The Board's mandate encompasses all components of the education profession. The Board consists of nineteen members, eighteen of whom are appointed by the Governor, and the nineteenth is the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, who serves ex officio. Thirteen of the eighteen appointed members are required to hold an Indiana teacher's license and must be actively employed by a school corporation. These members represent specific subjects, positions, and grade levels. These include: a superintendent, two principals, a director of special education, an early childhood teacher, an elementary education teacher, a middle/junior high school teacher, a special education teacher, a vocational education teacher, a student services representative, an English/language arts teacher, a mathematics teacher, and a science teacher. Three members must represent Indiana teacher preparation units within Indiana public and private institutions of higher education. There are two public members, one a school board's representative, a second a business representative. Fulfilling the Mission In its first year, the Board decided to undertake two tasks. It moved to maintain and support the program areas of the state Department of Education, which had been placed under the Board's jurisdiction. It determined its mission and vision, which would serve as guides to long term goals and specific decisions. The Board determined that before it could adequately determine its mission and vision statements, it first had to understand the current research, trends, and issues in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve (P-12) education. Accordingly, the Board undertook a year of study during which its members both read extensively and heard from many national and state leaders in the preparation of education professionals and the fields of P-12 education. After this year of research, the Board wrote and adopted its Mission and Vision Statements. The first portion of the Board's Mission Statement reads " . . . to establish and maintain rigorous, achievable standards for educators beginning with pre-service and continuing throughout their professional careers." Initially, the Board assessed the current systems and practices in these areas and found that Indiana had strong programs in the preparation and induction of education professionals. However, the Board also believed, based on its research and dialogue with education leaders, that new goals and standards could elevate to even higher levels the quality of education professionals in the state. This belief was put into action in August of 1994, when the Board voted to adopt performance-based standards for the preparation and licensure of education professionals. The Board believes that performance-based standards will bring three advantageous results. First, these performance standards will reflect the growing national consensus on the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to provide a high quality of instruction.. Second, these standards will provide a linkage to Indiana's goals for students in P-12 education, and last, these standards will focus on demonstrated ability to impart knowledge rather than considering only if an education professional has knowledge. A Unified System of Quality Assurance: Standards Supporting the Redesign The new performance-based licensing system will encompass the same three phases as the current model (preparation, induction and continued practice). The differences between the new and current models center on how education professionals are prepared and how candidates for licensure are assessed. The focus will be on achieving standards and the actual demonstration of understanding and application. Just as the goal for P-12 education is making learning a lifelong process for students, so the goal for teacher preparation is to make knowledge and skills related to teaching a career long process. Key to the reform of teacher preparation and licensure is a unified system of standards and assessments throughout the career of the education professional. An important foundation for Indiana's new system is the work done by professional organizations at the national level in setting standards for all phases which are interrelated and consistent. These groups include: The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). NCATE provides a mechanism for voluntary peer regulation of the professional education. NCATE is designed to establish and uphold professional standards of exc
Is it unwise to become an engineer now-a-days because of outsourcing? Instead here's an alternative scenario for the American worker. Start your own business. Then your job cannot be outsourced. Why leave your fate up to corporations who have no loyalty to workers but will seek the cheapest labor wherever they can find it in the world? Become a capitalist yourself! Train yourself for a line of work over which you have complete control, and a line of work that can't be outsourced. Examples: medicine, law, plumbing, electrician, handyman, barber and beauty shops, franchises such as Starbucks, real estate. Whatever you do, don't go into high tech, cutting edge fields. These are the primary candidates for outsourcing. Take the money you would have spent on college and instead invest it in real estate. Your goal should be not to just be a worker living from paycheck to paycheck with the American dream of a mortgage and a couple of cars. Your goal should be to increase your net assets, your net worth, to the point that you can live off of a return from capital and not just the sweat of your brow. This is what they don't teach you in school where they teach the new American Dream which Friedman totally endorses which is to get better educated, work harder and run faster in the rat race. A moderately successful business man (and I include handymen, gardeners and plumbers in this category) doesn't have to do this. More importantly, a moderately successful businessman does not have to beg a corporation for a job. http://willblogforfood.typepad.com/will_blog_for_food/education_careers_jobs_employment/

What are the odds that I am accepted into the Harvard MBA program? After failing to find a job for 5 months after graduation, I decided to take the GMAT and did better than expected. The next week I was offered a job at a large corporation and obviously took it. I am one year out of college and anxiously looking forward to catapulting my career with a top-notch education from a respected university like Harvard. I know work experience is important so I plan on working for a couple years but the GMAT score is only valid for 5 years. I chose to single out Harvard in my question above but I plan on applying to several premier schools. With the details I have provided below, please let me know how likely you think it is that I will be accepted into a premier MBA program. Thanks. Undergraduate Degree: B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Finance from Loras College (Dubuque, IA) Cumulative GPA: 3.35 Senior Paper: "Numerical Solution of Parabolic Partial Differential Equations with Applications in Finance" --I had the opportunity to present a portion of my senior paper to students/professors across the Midwest at a math conference at St. Norbert College Activities: -President of finance senior thesis project (28 other students) in which we created a financial guidebook. The project received a lot of local media coverage and was a big hit in the community. I appointed a board of directors and treated it like a real business. -I also traveled to Honduras on a service trip with a group of students from the college. We were put to work in the morning digging ditches and spent afternoons playing with the kids at an orphanage/abused mothers' shelter. -I was involved with the usual clubs like FMA (Financial Management Assoc.), AMA (American Marketing Assoc.), and math club. GMAT: 750, 98th percentile (49 Analytical, 42 Verbal) Work experience: I am currently a business analyst at a large corporation. I report financial data to executives within the company and perform outlooks for my division's operating costs. After only 3 months of employment I was promoted to a team leadership role. What do you think?
Would you do Collins project this way ? 5/ by v_kshemk...In some cases and some times some of the decisions taken by us do not leave a chance for alterations, and we are left with point of no return. The persons who are best guided by some of the godfathers, certainly reach the predetermined destination in their life, but a very few are lucky this way. 6/ by ʃosh Aℓfred Φ Tε Jεn ψ Effort is the wind, that blows the boat ahead. 7/ by VenkataRamana V when U are moving ahead with full energy, you should pause and see if you still think you are in the right direction. and then resume Ur efforts. 8/ by Ahmed yes , I agree. Unless you don't have clear vision, perfect plan and resources you should not spend huge efforts. In most cases "resources" are the main factor which effects a plan. So You should have at least two plans; if you feel that you are heading towards failure go to 2nd plan. Or you should break the task into 2 or more phases. Yo may go one by one giving some time between the phases. In this case you may gather and workout on resource arrangements. 9/by small Extremely important question....... highlighting the need to handle both the two distinct aspects of planning and execution or strategy and tactics. Huge efforts in wrong direction take one faster to the wrong destination.... absolutely true and precisely why the right strategy scores over tactics in the longer term. However, this obviously applies only for important and longer term operations. In the shorter term activities, the tactics seem to be more important and more often than not, an elaborate planning in such cases would only lead to missing the bus. Different people have different strengths and a good organization demands the right people for the respective jobs of strategic planning and efficient operations. It is indeed ironic that the two distinct capabilities hardly ever seem to vest in the same person. Surprisingly, even huge corporate organizations as a whole seem to excel in only one of the categories to the exclusion of the other........ and this is one of the key reasons why outsourcing either of operations or of high-end management decision-making becomes inevitable at crucial stages for almost every organization....... in comparison, outsourcing for cost saving is only a lower-rung need. The above equally applies at all levels..... whether individual or family or government. Appropriate outsourcing of the weaker of the two categories of skills/capabilities is the answer. At level of the individual day-to-day activities, it pays to identify important issues correctly and sleeping overnight on them. The trouble is that we end up with too many urgent matters to be taken care of now itself.... this upsets our ability to handle the important issues properly which in turn creates more urgent issues to be handled, thus ending up in a vicious cycle of one feeding the other....... the answer lies in a simple discipline to be followed...... setting aside an hour or two from our daily routine to just ponder over what has happened in the previous 24 hours and what needs to be done in the next 24 hours. This same method is followed by business and other organizations through periodic brainstorming or review sessions involving all Heads of Departments covering the past year or quarter or month and looking forward to the coming year, quarter or month, as the case may be.. 10/ by Counsellor Oneil Another excellent question sweetheart pinki ! Many corporations , governments and individuals do make a mistake of moving in wrong direction. But remember one thing, it is extremely difficult to identify right direction before you start, you do not have the full information to take decision. So it is always better , you move ahead , review everything and then if required revise and reset the direction so that you do not loose all the efforts. In personal life this is very important , you fall in love with a wrong person , or pursue wrong education and career and repent. At such occasions reviewing your assumptions , re visiting your thought processes does help. 11/ by Jojo207 Sure thing. Happened on Collins project if you believe what you read. 12/by Naguru I agree. The solution is that we should not take wrong direction. We should adopt positive attitude only and take right direction with a noble vision. This kind of a decision is being taken when we believe in action and that to spontaneous and our thinking process is not working and after first step we do realise the mistake ,even though no guts to go back in the same way as we have started. The prestige issue comes in between and going in the wrong directions even though we are aware of the wrong decision. 13/by Ramson Before one undertake any task at hand , one must fully understand , validate and decide upon the course of action with full implications of the task ahead. Once you have decided on the strategy , you must go with full steam to accomplish the given task. However, one
INDIANS, TAMILIANS IT MAY BE LONG BUT VITAL PL READ AND DISCUSS AS IT IS VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE? THE samaccheer kalvi issue which is going in high/supreme courts and COST OF EDUCATION VERY HIGH cries problem. the purpose of education is primarily to secur a good career evertbody wants to sit in the palanquin and nobody wants to be a lifter of palanquin .so for securing an excellant job you have to undergo selection process .the way of answering is of 3 types.give the correctanswer, give the best answer and giving the best answer in a way of effective presentation and naturally the selectors will eye only on the 3rd one ok? educations are of two types 1.govt/corporation/muncipal.panchayat union schools and private matriculation schools the first one is free the second one is paid one there is a huge cry that the schools loot the parents still there is a heavy rush for private schools why? the free schools have qualified teachers they teach how to answer correct answers. they get higher pay in GENERAL their attitude rests with teaching correct answers. even if all the students fail or pass with average marks , the teachers in GENERAL are not worried or no responsibility in private schools the teacher are over qualified. lowly paid and work very hard. they aim for effective way of presentation of best answers. even if all the students get more than 60% we are not sure in GENERAL whether they are happy or with no risk or responsibility they have to work further hard and improve further ok? now the attitudes of student and the responsibility of govt in GENERAL majority of students want less hard work but secure best job so they think that the quality of answers such as correct or best or way of presentation are hurdles . so they hate it and want to remove it. example take a best matriculation school and all the students are excellant. but there is also 2types one who get more than 90% and the rest is less than 90% the latter is majority and they want the 1st quality to be removed as they are hurdles for 2nd so they want a change in selection processing so that all will get equal opportunity . so the syllabus/method of exam should be changed then only they can edge out the best/crush the best ones down and get the satisfaction. what is the solution ? i think it is the reason for samaccheer kalvi. it is only my view and you need not accept or it need not be correct . so the testing subject should be changed in such a way there need not be best answers/way of effective presetation example for 2 marks the question is capital of india it may be a 1 word answer. 1 sentence or a short notes 1 answer simply new delhi the answerer is not bothored to construct even it as a sentance as he is not sure of construction a sentance without mistake or not bothored about it. but he is able to give correct aswer 2. india's capital is newdelhi. here he is able to give correct answer and also able to construct a sentance without any mistake. 3. india's capital is new delhi. it is situated at a lattitude of ..... longitude of ......... on the banks of river ......... and has a population of ........... it is formerly known as indraprastha in olden days. here the answer is correct. it is best answer also and look at the way of presentation. so naturally the third person ALONE has to be selected he is one where as the rejected are more or majority so they want to edge him out or crush him down how is it you change the process of selection the question should be choose the correct answer multioptions the capital of india is a chennai b mumbai c new delhi d kolkatta if the selection of process is changed like this then ONLY it is possible to edgeout the 3rd category and crush him out because it has no opportunity to best answer selection or effective way of presentation now the govt responsibility - will it want the ability/or talent to improve more and more and the competition to be much more keen or simply want to SUPPORT THE MAJORITY? your valuable discussions/arguements are very much appreciated Mr. balan welcome for your ideas. but my question is why not the govt and its tamil medium teachers try to improve the standards of tamil medium students instead of clipping the wings of matriculation students is my question u don't give ur e mail id to share my concern and views will u look at this i wonder
Choosing the right degree program to land a high level English teaching job in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.? Hello Everyone, I did a search and didn't find the info I was seeking so I decided to post this question to pick your brains. I apologize in advance for the long email and also thank you for your responses (the constructive ones.) I love expat life and have decided to build a career in the TESOL field. I've therefore decided to pursue my Master's degree while working in South Korea (currently in my first year in Korea.) My current goal is to become well qualitfied for a position in the UAE. My questions are these: 1- Does my degree have to be from an English speaking country? I'm a U.S citizen with a BA in Mass Communications from a U.S university so would it matter to the employers if I earned my Master's degree from a university in Korea? I'm considering studying in Korea because it would be more convenient for me as I'll be here for a few years. Of course, I'm also researching online degree programs in the U.S but it would be great if I could study in Korea. 2- Based on my research most people have Master's degree in Applied Linguistics or an MA TESOL. Just these 2 options seem limiting to me. Are they? I'd like to position myself to have options in and outside of the classroom and perhaps take some positions with NGOs, etc. Can anyone think of some other TESOL related majors that would qualify me for teacher positions int he UAE and elsewhere in the world but wouldn't necessarily limit me to the classroom forever? I'm looking at Drexel University's online program. I'm considering the Master of Science in Global and International Education program. According to the school website: " Graduates of the The M.S. in Global and International Education program will be qualified to pursue careers in higher education, ESL programs, education abroad, law firms, international education associations, accreditation agencies, local community international outreach centers, U.S. government, international development or human service agencies, non-governmental agencies, as well as act as administrators, managers, and researchers in national and international organizations, foundations, associations, and corporations. Key Program Features: •Graduates from the MS program in Global and International Education will possess skills in developing, analyzing, implementing, and evaluating new educational policies at a variety of institutions/organizations or private sector jobs by using cross-cultural perspectives in training employees and researching products. •Students will also exhibit outstanding leadership, organizational, cross-cultural, interpersonal, and advocacy skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external groups, using present and emerging communication and information technologies. Students will have in-depth knowledge regarding both public and private (non-profit and for-profit) institutions as well as small and large institutions and multi-campus institutions..." What do you think? Would this be a marketable specialization or do the schools generally want degrees that are more language oriented? Thanks again!
Why do for-profit colleges have live reps 24/7? I heard these for-profit institutions are big scams. I had a friend who attended Remington College, which is a for-profit college that attracts low-income, low grade-earning and often crime-comitting African Americans and Chicanos. She earn her associates in criminal justice but couldn't get accepted in to the police department because her hours are "unaccredited". Now with that being said, isn't strange to have a "college" advertise like crazy on TV and also when you call their toll-free number at 3am they actually have a live rep asking you "Thanks for calling ITT tech, would like information on our computer program. etc?" Why would they have live reps 24/7 and all the advertising that promise you a degree and a career, but leave you homeless and in debt? And funny how I was about to submit this question, the automatic category assignment of this question goes to "Business and Corporation" instead of "Education". I never heard Harvard, UCLA, or UT austin would have live reps 24/7 and advertise all over the media. And by the way I attended a regionally accredited community college so don't think I'm a victim. And I don't have educational debt. And are there any other for-profit schools I need to know about?
Who honestly believes anything will change after November election? How long then, a week, month, quarter, year, decade? I'm willing to bet nothing will change in the US after the elections (accept the skins will put on their shirts for the scrimmage): The party of no will continue to block any tax legislation - read ANY legislation because of the tax porked on; The party of free lunch will continue to tax and spend and hand out welfare, free taxpayer funded services; The stale mates will continue on any beneficial legislation; Unemployment will continue to rise, as will the number of "99ers"; Low income jobs will sprout up as they always do (at the malls and fast foods probably), while higher education careers will remain stagnated; Small business will continue to gain at a snails pace while big corporations rake in the money; and on and on, Ad nauseam... Why not "Bookmark" this question, just for grins..
do i need to major in music? i am a highschool senior deciding what to do here! so um, i love music. i would really like to continue my education in music. i've been playing the clarinet for 7 years, i am student conductor in my band (i love it), i'm in my church choir and praise team, i love to sing and write music, i love performing (acting/singing/dancing) etc etc. however, i'd really like to major in business and go to a really good business school. i am strong in my mathematics area, i love creating ideas and ways to sell products, make money, organize things, etc etc. i want to either go into finance or marketing (still need to learn about my choices here) now, in my hopes of having a great future career, it'd be great if i could combine my education in business and music to work for some type of music corporation not only in the performance aspect but within managing and looking over financing etc etc... (i hope what i said made sense!) it is sorta kinda like living two lives, but not really..? ya know? s in continuation, should i go ahead and double major (i've found a great program Bachelor Music/Master's Business Administration in just 5 years) or should I major/minor? if i major/minor should i major in music minor in business or major in business minor in music? would a music degree truly be worth it?
Great schools to teach young people to cheat...? http://education.yahoo.com/college/essentials/school_rankings/biz/best_career_prospects.html "Cheat" as in figuring ways of not how to EARN money, but how to cheat you of YOUR money(all legally, of course, because if it's legal, it MUST be OK). Find ways of taking their...PENSIONS...benefits...vacations...give them life insurance(and name the corporation as benificiary, neat trick, huh?). I wonder what Ivan Bosky, Keating, Lay, Skilling, and the rest of them will leave on the pages of humanity? A stain maybe? I want to be JUST like them, where winning is far more important than ANYTHING, even if I have to kick an 90-year old woman to the kerb, nothing more important than the money!!! Harvard, Princeton, etc, are you ready to turn out the next generation of short-sighted, self-serving business leaders?

Would you hire someone with low vision? Would you hire me even though I have low vision? I have a question out there for any one who doesn't manage somewhere like a grocery store, or retail. I am 20 years old and a college sophomore, but I have low vision. (20/80). I am legally able to drive in my state, but I only l ike to drive during the day, and to places I know well around town. Anyway, I am an accounting major at Salisbury University and I am worried that when I go out into the real world to start my career people will be less likely to hire me because of my low vision. I know it is technically illegal to so, but it would mean that I would not be able to drive to meetings in far away places. I generally do not think it would impact my quality of work. I have good grades, and am part of a very good business program at my university. I have never had a hard time finding a part time job perse, but am really concerned about my career. So I am asking yout o be honest. Would you hesitate to hire me because of this disability, or would you be more concerned with other aspects of my resume. I have congenital motor nystagmus, my low vision is not by any means correctable to more than 20/70 I would be looking for a job as an accountant, for either corporation, a business, or somewhere like a board of education..etc.
Should we be calling Buffy Wicks, the Dep. Dir. of White House Office of Public Engagement or Propaganda Czar? Culture & Lifestyle | 06.12.2003 Hitler's Chosen Artists Walked Fine Line Between Art and Politics The “Leni Riefenstahl syndrome” It’s a position common among artists whose careers took off after the Nazis came to power. Like film director Leni Riefenstahl, whose documentaries “Triumph of the Will” and “Olympia” helped glorify the regime, most artists denied any knowledge of Hitler’s atrocities against the Jews until after 1945. Many people find it difficult to believe that these artists had no idea of Hitler's aims. “If Johannes Heesters says today that he was completely apolitical, I can’t accept that,” says Melissa Müller, the author of a book on Hitler’s list of “divinely gifted” artists due out in February. The list included celebrities such as German conductors Wilhelm Furtwängler and Herbert von Karajan, actor and director Gustaf Gründgens and composer Richard Strauss. Müller told DW-WORLD that Heesters was in touch with the highest-ranking members of the regime, and that his career depended on the goodwill of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister. After arriving in Berlin in 1935, Heesters began appearing in movies and on stage and became a teen idol as well as one of Hitler’s favorite stars. http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,2144,1051153,00.html Politics * Monday, September 21, 2009 Audiotape Reveals Artists Being Asked to Support Obama's Agenda An official at the White House Office of Public Engagement told a group of handpicked artists that they would receive "some specific asks" during a controversial conference call that encouraged production of artwork supporting the administration's agenda in the name of service, a transcript of the call reveals. An official at the White House Office of Public Engagement encouraged a group of artists on a conference call with the National Endowment for the Arts to produce works that supported the Obama administration's agenda, a transcript of the call reveals. The 44-page transcript, which was posted Monday on BigGovernment.com, details an hour-long conference call on Aug. 10 hosted by the NEA, the White House Office of Public Engagement and United We Serve, a nationwide initiative launched by President Obama to increase volunteerism. "We're going to need your help, and we're going to come at you with some specific 'asks' here," said Buffy Wicks, deputy director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. "But we know that you guys are ready for it and eager to participate, so one we want to thank you, and two, I hope you guys are ready." Wicks, who did not respond to requests for comment, was one of several officials on the call -- along with then-NEA Director of Communications Yosi Sergant and Michael Skolnik, political director for hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons -- seeking focused efforts by the artists in health care, energy and environment, education and community renewal. Sergant, who was reassigned by the NEA last week, said on the call that the effort was the first of a "brand new conversation." He told the artists, "Pick -- I would encourage you to pick something, whether it's health care, education, the environment, you know, there's four key areas that the corporation has identified as the areas of service. At what point in you're life did you "know" what you wanted to do for a living? It took me until this year to truly know. I am 22 and I had thought about various careers since around the age of 16. I always knew I did not want to work in a corporation and I have always wanted to do something public, non profit etc. I am a people person and I really did not want to work in cubicle in a corporation with my whole goal being to make the CEO even wealthier than he already is. I looked at Occupatonal and Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology but I always had a strong feeling towards schools. I was an elementary education major my first 3 semesters at Penn State but in January 2007 I changed over to Human Development and Family Studies with the aim of becoming a high school guidance counselor. This year it hit me right in the face that I want to be an Elementary School Counselor. I am interning right now and will earn my B.S. in HDFS in December and if everything goes to plan, I will be earning my M.Ed. in Elementary School Counseling in December 2011. And I absolutely love what I am doing at my internship. After being in 3 of the 9 majors and considering at least 6 of them on my small campus I have hit the mark. Did any of you have this much back and forth over what career line to pick and do you enjoy your choice or regret it? Thanks, Dave

Can someone help me with my essay? I need help with the punctuation in my essay please help......... The reason why I want to join Year Up is that I feel that it will give me the guidance I need to further my self for the future. I believe that Year Up is a good program for me and my peers. The reason why I believe it is a good program is because it was founded to give youth the skills an training they need. To achieve there personal goals and to be confident in furthering there education. I am a good candidate for Year Up because I have many personal values that will contribute to the Year Up program. Some of my values are achievement, knowledge, and personal commitment. Some personal strength’s that I have are that I’m hard working and motivated. I feel these personal values will contribute to my success as a IT professional. Achievement is something that we all want to do. One way I feel I have achieved is by graduating from high school and finishing up one semester at Middlesex Community College and taking courses at Bunker Hill Community College. Although while at these schools I was not studying what I wanted to study I felt like it was a way for me to find the true meaning of going to school. The meaning of going to school for me is to study your interest and something you can see your self doing years from now. Knowledge is something that I have always wish to gain because it gives you power. I always like to stay committed to whatever I am doing. My reasons for going to school are to help me and my family in the future and improve our lives. Helping others I feel is party of my personality. The job I had during high school was working as a youth organizer at Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation. Working there gave me the knowledge to work with computers, working in teams, and event planning. It helped us plan and hold two block parties and a youth force summit. My personal commitment I feel has gotten me to where I am today. I feel that it will continue if I keep looking forward to my future.5 years from now as far as my career I can see myself well into my career as a photographer. I’m hoping to have a associate degree in media art and design. As far as what kind of photography I want do I’m still undecided I want to experience all of the different shooting styles of photography from fashion to landscape before I make my decision. Although I have not decided what shooting style I can see myself working in a studio for a well established magazine company. My future goals will help me complete the Year Up program and continue to achieve. My personal goals and attributes will contribute to my success in the Year Up program. If I am accepted into Year Up my personal strength ‘s and values will contribute to my achievement and success toward my future goals. wiliness to work hard and having a positive outlook on the future. and interest in Photography and to further my career will contribute to my success at Year Up.
She is open to switching fields, need not be computer related jobs.
What are some careers that do not require high levels of math? I'm a high school student, planning to attend a community college and then transfer to a four year university. Currently, I am searching for a career that pays well. I am not a math genius. The highest level of math I've taken is Geometry. I'm planning to further my education in mathematics by taking more courses. Can anyone give me some idea of good careers that do not require super high levels of math? I'm looking for a minimum salary of 60k+. Though, I prefer corporation jobs, rather than self employed jobs. I'm going to try to reach Calculus level in college at least. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have no idea what education/career to pursue...help!? I hate working beneath people, and I hate businesses and corporations. I don't like working a fixed schedule. I enjoy studying philosophy and theology, but I don't have money to afford to do it "just for fun". I love the outdoors and open space, and animals are cool too. I also love anatomy and physiology, but I don't want to be a doctor or a nurse (because that involves working schedules). I used to enjoy writing, but now that I'm "grown up", I find there is little to no time to do it and enjoy it. Is there ANYTHING out there that can cover my preferences? Is there any way to make money off of any of the things I listed without being a part of "the system"?
Can I get into Duke, UPenn, Washington University in St.Louis, etc.? I'm a rising senior with a 3.86 gpa in the International Baccaleuareate program. I am an Arab-American (don't know if that's a minority). I got a 30 on my ACT, was very disappointed, and am shooting for a 34. By senior year I would have taken 8 AP classes and around 10-12 IB's, every other class I took was honors. I founded the Stock Market Club at my school and am currently the president. I'm an executive officer in the French Honor Society (We only have an executive board, not a president, vp, etc.) and I am in the national Honor Society. I also am a varsity tennis player that has lettered on the varsity team all 4 years and a team captain. This past year, we won the district championship in one of the toughest districts in the state of Florida (I was the district runner-up for my spot), we're the regional runner-ups (we barely lost to the 2 time defending state champs) and we won the county academic award. I am interested in a career in dentistry and took many interships this summer. I interned the largest dental corporation in the southeast, an international dental lab, and I worked at a dental factory in China with the other Chinese workers on my own for 3 weeks. I have also volunteered at 2 hospitals (making good reputations and relations at both) and an animal clinic. I am a diligent, responsible, and mature young man who really cares about his education, I have good relations with my teachers, and I would appreciate any feedback.

Hi thanks for the feedback. I have a question though...I am currently working at del taco so that's why I made it in present form. I was researching and I found that employers like it in present form instead of past tense, so I'm changing the 2005 entry in present tense. (well not present but not past tense either more like... for example: responsibility of checking out cashiers etc. etc....) In that sort of way.... And that guys answer below me lol im not putting my real info online! lol and my school transcript reads major: registered nursing degrees awarded: associate in science!!! so yeah i think that's how im going to put that on there... I've also been researching and i guess employers prefer when it's shorter and right to the point. It makes it easy to read...But I will be adding a sentence to my current position. as for the skills section i already have my skills in the summary i don't want to go on and on. But that was a great idea for the language and activities section!Thnx well it reads degrees awarded : sought: associate in science lol

Anybody know some things about Hillary??????? Oh wait..never mind. She wasn't born into money and political influence. She came from middle class Illinois, and worked her way up -graduating from Yale Law School during a time when women were at an educational disadvantage. As a law student, Hillary represented foster children and parents in family court and worked on some of the earliest studies creating legal standards for identifying and protecting abused children. Following graduation, she became a staff attorney for the Children's Defense Fund when she could have taken a job with a large law firm making much more money. After serving as only one of two women lawyers on the staff of the House Judiciary Committee considering the impeachment of Richard Nixon, Hillary chose not to pursue offers from major law firms. Her daughter Chelsea was born in 1980 but pregnancy and raising a well balanced daughter did not thwart her tireless work for families and children. Hillary ran a legal aid clinic for the poor when she first got to Arkansas and handled cases of foster care and child abuse. Years later, she organized a group called Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families. When she was just 30, President Carter appointed her to the board of the United States Legal Services Corporation, a federal nonprofit program that funds legal assistance for the poor. As First Lady of Arkansas, Hillary continued to advocate for children, leading a task force to improve education in Arkansas through higher standards for schools and serving on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital, helping them expand and improve their services. She also served on national boards for the Children's Defense Fund, the Child Care Action Campaign, and the Children's Television Workshop. She also continued her legal career as a partner in a law firm. She led the American Bar Association's Commission on Women in the Profession, which played a pioneering role in raising awareness of issues like sexual harassment and equal pay. Hillary was twice named one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America. When Bill became president, here's a few things she worked on as First Lady: to travel the globe speaking out for women and children, to make adoption easier, to expand early learning and child care, to increase funding for breast cancer research, and to help veterans suffering from Gulf War syndrome . She also helped launch a national campaign to prevent teen pregnancy and helped create the Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997, which moved children from foster care to adoption more quickly. All of us know that she has championed healthcare before. Yeah, her plan wasn't perfect, but she's been there and is adjusting her plan based on her experience. She was also partly responsible for the Family and Medical Leave Act. Finally, in 2000, Hillary was elected to the United States Senate from New York. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Hillary worked with her colleagues to secure the funds New York needed to recover and rebuild. She fought to provide compensation to the families of the victims, grants for hard-hit small businesses, and health care for front line workers at Ground Zero. She is the first New Yorker ever to serve on the Senate Armed Services Committee. And about Obama and his church: He has went to this church since 1988 was married there and his children were baptised there. I am adding the link from Wikipedia as well as the article and the church. You owe it to yourself to know everything about him. My question is why isn't he leaving this church? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/denise-whe... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obam... http://www.tucc.org/about.htm - If you look at the church website there is a "Commitment to Africa" statement.. it is said this is why Obama will not wear a US pin anymore. READ ABOUT LOUIS FARRAKAN AND OBAMA'S PASTOR.. it is here in the links. I don't think he's racist. I'd just say know who your voting for. "Just my opinion". I'm not trying to weigh heavily on the propaganda that's circulating the internet about Obama. Just the facts. I ask legitimate questions about Obama too. But I still can't get a sound answer.
Do I have a chance of getting an MBA or CPA? I was much too young, immature and unprepared when I went to college. I tried to take a year off when I was 18 but was told by my parents that it was unacceptable. I essentially wasted 4 years of education and even though I graduated on time, it was with a BA in Business with a 2.1 average (I deeply regret this). I'm 25 now and have been working for a large corporation for the past year - doing some bookkeeping, handling large multi-million dollar deals, etc. I want to advance in my career and realize I love the business/finance world. I would like to go back to school to get my MBA or CPA in about a year. What are my chances of getting into a decent business school or doing an accounting track with my dismal college record?
How do you NOT CARE what other people think about you? Selfish Culture? Hi. I have some problems....... Im from a culture where education is very very important, where its ideal to be married by 24, and where families secrelty argue about who has the better kid i.e. in terms of education, wealth and power, popularity etc. Problem is, i am the complete opposite of what this culture expects from me. Im 24, going back to university, have absoultely no interest in getting married until i am settled in my career, - ill be 29 then. and their idea of marriage is to "find" someone. I HATE THIS IDEA. Your supposed to fall in love, and go through all these stages.. its supposed to be natural, like destiny? I dont have much confidence and im having a really hard time not caring about what other people think about my situation, i always feel like i have to lie about where i am in life (ie, i work for a big corporation) - which makes me feel worse. (And to top it all off my younger brother is really going places, big salary, lots of friends etc.. i hate to be jealous..) Please help? :(

:( where'd the other answer go =/
Do you think its harder to debate as a fiscal conservative than it is as a liberal? I'm always debating with my homies who are huge Obama fans, and its so easy for them because they always stand for these feel good issues like free health care for everyone, publicly funded college for everyone and welfare programs for these people and these people, and as a fiscal conservative and small government person I'm always against all these things, and I always get the same reaction from them, like I'm some mean spirited person, how could I be against health care and college for everyone. When I start questioning where the money is going to come from for all these programs they finally admit it means higher taxes, but most of the people looking for all these programs are the ones that don't have money for education and health care in the first place, you're not going to get much taxes from them they are earning less income, which means the tax burden is being passed off to the people who can already afford these things for themselves, why should they pay more? Why should they be penalized because they went to better schools and earned a better education and worked skilled careers? Once we get past the whole tax issue I start questioning them about weather they expect to receive better quality service and lower prices from an institution that has a government monopoly, or from a corporation that has to compete with other companies with lower prices and better quality service.. Point being, its like I'm always the mean spirited guy because it sounds so harsh to say I'm against all these programs, and they sound so caring and generous because they support it, even though its not them that's going to be forking up the bill for it all.. And I came straight out of the ghetto so I don't want to hear about not understanding the less fortunate..

What does a degree in GWS Get You? From the University Of Georgia Website Is this True? Should Taxpayers Pay for this at State Universities and Colleges? Career Opportunities for Women's Studies Majors 1. What You Can Do with a Degree in Women's Studies A. Employment Skills You Gain With a Liberal Arts Education Women's studies provides you with all the benefits of a liberal arts degree. Liberal arts education emphasizes critical thinking, which can be applied to a multitude of careers. It demonstrates to a potential employer that you have the confidence, skills, and maturity to earn a college degree; that you are well-rounded, having studied a wide variety of topics rather than one narrow skill area; that you likely are able to think more globally than many other job applicants. Managers often prefer liberal arts majors because they think they are better at organizing material, writing well, and making oral presentations. Moreover, a Women's Studies major equips you with significant additional advantages... B. Additional Employment Skills You Gain With a WS Degree Larissa Semenuk, a Women's Studies graduate, explains: "The major prepares one to do anything any other liberal arts major does but with deeper insight into issues of oppression and celebration of women. Hopefully, this insight carries over into important issues of other groups -- making one more sensitive and therefore more prepared to do all things/jobs with greater attention to ethical standards. A Women's Studies major is taught to look for the hidden -- like looking for the silenced voices of women in history. It's invaluable!" (Luebke and Reilly 19). There are many practical applications for Women's Studies training on the job. For example, as more women work, business and corporations find the need for more sensitivity to women's issues such as sexual harassment, flex-time, parental leave, pay equity, and equal employment opportunities. The development of women's agencies and organizations is spurring demand for graduates with specializations in Women's Studies. There is growing demand in the professions of law, medicine, social work, teaching, counseling, and government service for expertise on gender issues. Similarly, women's studies specialists are increasingly being used as consultants in industry, higher education, insurance companies, and personnel firms. Perhaps most importantly, many Women's Studies graduates say that their education gave them the confidence to pursue careers traditionally held by men. C. Fields of Graduate Study That WS Majors Have Pursued The fields of graduate study that Women's Studies majors have pursued include: Administration, advocacy, anthropology, arts, counseling, education, history, humanities, international studies, law, library science, philosophy, psychology, public health, public policy, social work, and sociology. D. Fields of Employment WS Graduates Have Pursued, With Real Examples of Specific Job Placements Within Each Category A recent national study uncovered more than 38 distinct occupations pursued by Women's Studies graduates (Luebke and Reilly). Categories of careers include Rio: The key word in your answer is yet. And, in Florida they have pulled funding for GWS major.
what wrong with this? What is wrong with this? CORPORATE TRAINING Jill Smith Axia College of University of Phoenix Corporate Training Today, managers need well-trained employees and are finding they do not exist. Corporations are providing additional training for their employees. One such training program that is being added to corporate learning environments is an awareness of emotional intelligence. Business managers are learning that successful managers need high Emotional Quotient (EQ) or Emotional Intelligence (EI) to work effectively. Emotional intelligence is the ability to accurately perceive emotions in self and others, to identify different emotional responses, and to use emotional information to make intelligent decisions (Goleman, 2000). A leading expert on EQ finds, “people good at managing relationships tend also to be self-aware, self-regulating, and empathetic” (Goleman, 2000, p. 33). Emotional intelligence is especially important “at the highest levels of the company, where differences in technical skills are of little importance. In other words, the higher the rank of the person, the more emotional intelligence capabilities are needed for decision making effectiveness” (Goleman, 1986, p. 94). Emotional intelligence is crucial to a successful business career and for effective group performance (Goleman, 1986). The core competencies required for emotional intelligence are “the perception of emotions in one’s self and others, the understanding of these emotions, and the management of emotions” (Feldman, 2001, p. 4). Success in the modern workplace requires teamwork and collaboration. Emotional Intelligence training is essential because most modern companies rely on teams of employees working together, rather than on the action of individual managers working in isolation (Ganzel, 2001). Several accredited universities are delivering EQ training in hopes of preparing their students for the workplace. Grossman (2000) states: A current trend in education is to teach students about how their emotional intelligence can have a positive or negative effect on their career. Many universities are now offering courses in interpersonal relationships and emotional intelligence in an attempt to prepare students to be leaders. Leaders cannot lead in isolation, and an educational delivery system that features team building and collaboration is growing by the numbers. (p. 48) Emotional intelligence skills are a crucial component for a successful career in business. We live in a time of rapid change and in a world of diversity. The modern business environment requires managers to have highly functioning intrapersonal, interpersonal, and group skills. Emotional Intelligence is important today and will be even more important in the future. As more employees master emotional intelligence skills, a higher functioning group emotional intelligence should emerge. In response to this higher group EI, individual employees will need to keep refining their EI skills (Tucker, 2000).
What do you think about the letter Lou Pritchett penned for President Obama? The author, Lou Pritchett, is a well-known public speaker who retired after a successful 36-year career as the VP World Sales for Proctor and Gamble. Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America 's true living legends- an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history. AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA Dear President Obama: You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me. You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you. You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American. You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll. You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.. You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others. You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail. You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd and deliver this message abroad. You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector. You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one. You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves. You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world. You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations. You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals. You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people. You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient. You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do. You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view. You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing. Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years. Lou Pritchett

Illegal Immigration destroying America's middle class - Us or Them? Economist Paul Roberts wrote on January 21, 2003, "Will America become a Third World country in 20 years?" In the Christian Science Monitor, December 11, 2003, "But as the US economy shifted toward service jobs, factory jobs have steadily lost-in fact in just the past 39 months, some 2.8 million jobs vanished." Where are they going? China. India. Mexico. Deep into the Third World. "You Americans have lived an artificially high standard of living for a long time," a man working one our jobs outsourced to India wrote me. "It's time you Americans drop to the poverty levels of the rest of the Third World." American jobs are offshored, insourced and outsourced at such blinding speed that millions of American citizens stand in unemployment lines every morning while the rest of us go to work, that is, if we still have jobs. America's middle class is being dismantled by jobs exported to cheap-labor Third World countries. CEOs and corporations that enjoy the luxuries of America's hard won freedom care not a tinker's dam whether you have a job or not-or a living wage. But the American man and woman on the street--the ones with two kids, a mortgage and bills coming out of their ears--stand powerless as their jobs vanish. Worse, our Congress upped the H-1B visas by another 20,000 again this year. That quota rise spits in the face of thousands of American IT workers standing in unemployment lines. Our Congress gave out nearly one million H-1B visas in the past decade. Congress facilitates outsourcing, insourcing and offshoring! Why complain? You just re-elected most of them back into Congress. Cannon, Kennedy, McCain, Udall, Degette, Pelosi, Allard, Dillon, Kyle, Kolbe, Flake and the list continues. Paul Hamilton write his story, "You have to work in the Silicone Valley for a while to really understand what it is like to be a white male in the IT business now days. I've worked for the Chinese, Iranians and Indians. I could tell you some horror stories ...HORROR stories! My career went to China, India and the WWW a long time ago though. "Today, I am a plumber. I started a new career and things are that tough here in California. I was lucky enough to get on with Marina Plumbing which is a huge Corporation that does the plumbing on new construction...think BIG housing subdivisions. "I look around on the job site and I am the only white male in a sea of Mexicans. Few of these Mexicans speak English. There are usually several boom boxes blaring Maruichi music all day long. The Mexicans OWN ALL THE TRADES! The concrete workers, the framers, the heavy equipment operators, the roofers and even the truck drivers delivering building materials--ALL are Mexicans. "President Bush is 100 percent off the mark, or he is crazy... or?" "I was the leading channel rep in the Silicone Valley for high end CISCO switches. For a year and a half I have been in IBM's Presidents club before. I wonder what the Germans thought circa 37, 38, 39 when the SS was taking over and doing the dirty work for Hitler? Were the Germans just sitting around wondering what was going on? Were they just sitting there in disbelief? I hear our esteemed President talking about Mexican Amnesty and think about how they have already brought misery to an already dead-broke state and wonder what the hell?" But there is another ominous skullduggery afoot across this country. It's the importation of illegal aliens by major US companies who thwart Federal Laws in order to 'lose' American workers and then, wholesale, break OSHA standards at will. How? Because illegal aliens will not make a whimper for fear of losing their jobs. The displacement of American workers proceeds methodically. American corporations sacrifice American workers in the name of profit. Over 200,000 illegal aliens swarm the Colorado job market. They displace Denver pavers, roofers, landscapers, beef processing plants, framers, dry wallers and virtually have taken over all fast food restaurants. This story repeats millions of times. A recent television news broadcast by one of the big three showed a man who had just made the 'Wall of Unemployment Shame' in his workplace, which included 1,000 fellow employees who had been laid off. Formerly making $22.00 an hour, he's now driving a delivery truck for $11.00 an hour. His wife and children struggle with their new financial reality. Currently, 15 million illegal aliens commandeer jobs away from American citizens. If they don't steal those jobs, they depress the wages to the point of legalized slavery. We have an estimated one million illegal alien Chinese in this country (Source: March 2005 Forbes Magazine). At the same time, we outsource jobs to China where a billion people can't wait to make 50 cents an hour. Human smugglers bringing illegals into America make $7 billion annually according to the report. Do they work the jobs Americans won't do? False! If American doctors were paid $5.00 an hour they wouldn't be working those hospital jobs either. You have to ask yourself if you want illegal immigrant doctors working at minimum wage to perform a by-pass heart surgery on you? Would you like an illegal immigrant lawyer defending you in court for $5.00 an hour? How about a $5.00 an hour illegal immigrant college professor teaching your kids calculus? How about an illegal alien truck driver driving down the road at 70 MPH with 80,000 pounds of steel, no ability to read English and a fifth grade education-from Mexico's educational system? Meanwhile, profits soar for corporations while the middle class of America plummets into worsening unemployment. Will America drop into Third World conditions as economist Paul Roberts predicts? At the current rate of 4.1 million legal and illegal newcomers imported into the United States annually, it's only a matter of time before, we too, manifest conditions of the Third World. You can't drown the labor market with millions of people and expect to keep your wages high when immigrants will undercut you. That's why the pay in China or India is less than $10.00 per day. They have 2.4 billion people in those two countries. That's why they live subsistence lives. In time, that reality will manifest itself in America as the middle class vanishes. It's already happening. You need look no further than California as an example of the first Third World State of America. Call your representative at 1-877-762-8762 and ask if he or she is on the Tom Tancredo Immigration Reform Caucus in the US House of Representatives? If your rep isn't--demand that he join because you are sick and tired of Americans jobs being given away to illegal aliens. You're sick of H-1B and L-1 visas as well as offshoring, insourcing and outsourcing. Make that call today! http://www.rense.com/general60/illegalimmigrationsdestruct.htm So should we give up our middle class so that Illegal immigrants can come here and take the jobs "Americans won't do"? we shouldn't thank bush, we should impeach bush for not protecting a whole class of people in the united states! in order for a mother to get welfare, there must not be a man living in the home. Ms. magazine was bankrolled by the CIA. The rockefellers bankrolled feminism in the united states, which caused the problem that Frosty points out. It makes you wonder if there is a hidden agenda or something on the part of the government...possible to crash the dollar, make everybody here poor, redistribute the wealth to third world nations, and eventually make a one world government? did you people read the details? it explained about outsourcing. This is not about war. i am anti-war, and i hate bush. Its not racist. its about saving our country as we know it and not allowing corporate interests to control our immigration policies. this is supposed to be a government Of the people, BY the people, FOR the people!!!! But what do we get??? a government OF the corporations, BY the corporations, FOR the corporations!!!!!!! so F*CK the illegal immigrants, IT'S EITHER US OR THEM!! only one sentence was written by an economist, and it is in quotes, cookie. and this is not some crazy theory, its already happening. hillary can't and won't save us, rudy can't and won't save us, mccain can't and won't save us, obama can't and won't save us. They keep telling us that deportation is out of the question, or that it is impractical. That is totally untrue. A guest worker program is not needed. Businesses should be paying legal workers a descent wage. If that means less profit, then that is just how it's got to be. The economic growth that has come over the past few decades to those businesses that hire illegals is due to cheap labor. They shouldn't have broken the law, and they shouldn't have lowered wages for the rest of us by making us compete with illegal aliens.
Would someone plz post an Accomplishments BIO of OBama as I am of Hillary? This is only a short list of the good she has done, starting back in her early life. You can pull it up by bringing her history BIO up online. There is much much more. Early life Raised in a politically conservative household,[11] at age thirteen she helped canvass South Side Chicago following the very close 1960 U.S. presidential election, finding evidence of electoral fraud against Republican candidate Richard Nixon,[12] and volunteered for Republican candidate Barry Goldwater in the U.S. presidential election of 1964.[13] Her early political development was shaped most strongly by her energizing high school history teacher, who got her to read Goldwater's classic The Conscience of a Conservative[14] and who was, like her father, a fervent anti-communist, and by her Methodist youth minister, like her mother concerned with issues of social justice; with the minister she saw and met civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. in Chicago in 1962. Rodham attended the 1968 Republican National Convention in Miami, where she decided to leave the Republican Party for good; she was upset over how Richard Nixon's campaign had portrayed Rockefeller and what Rodham perceived as the "veiled" racist messages of the convention That summer, she worked her way across Alaska, washing dishes in Mount McKinley National Park and sliming salmon in a fish processing cannery in Valdez (which fired her and shut down overnight when she complained about unhealthy conditions). Law school During her second year, she worked at the Yale Child Study Center,[34] learning about new research on early childhood brain development and working as a research assistant on the seminal work, Beyond the Best Interests of the Child (1973).[35][36] She also took on cases of child abuse at Yale-New Haven Hospital,[35] and volunteered at New Haven Legal Services to provide free advice for the poor.[ and volunteered at New Haven Legal Services to provide free advice for the poor.[34] In the summer of 1970, she was awarded a grant to work at Marian Wright Edelman's Washington Research Project, where she was assigned to Senator Walter Mondale's Subcommittee on Migratory Labor, researching migrant workers' problems in housing, sanitation, health and education;[37][38] Edelman would become a significant mentor to her.[38] In the late spring of 1971, she began dating Bill Clinton, who was also a law student at Yale. Early Arkansas years Rodham co-founded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, a state-level alliance with the Children's Defense Fund, in 1977. For much of that time[81] she served as the chair of that board, the first woman to do so.[82] During her time as chair, funding for the Corporation was expanded from $90 million to $300 million,[70] and she successfully battled against President Ronald Reagan's initial attempts to reduce the funding and change the nature of the organization. Clinton appointed her chair of the Rural Health Advisory Committee the same year,[83] where she successfully obtained federal funds to expand medical facilities in Arkansas' poorest areas without affecting doctors' fees. In one of the most important initiatives of the entire Clinton governorship,[92] she fought a prolonged but ultimately successful battle against the Arkansas Education Association[92] to put mandatory teacher testing as well as state standards for curriculum and classroom size in place.[92] She introduced Arkansas' Home Instruction Program for Preschool Youth in 1985, a program that helps parents work with their children in preschool preparedness and literacy.[94] She was named Arkansas Woman of the Year in 1983 and Arkansas Mother of the Year in 1984. First Lady of the United States When Bill Clinton took office as president in January 1993, Hillary Rodham Clinton became the First Lady of the United States, and announced that she would be using that form of her name.[116] She was the first First Lady to hold a post-graduate degree[117] and to have her own professional career up to the time of entering the White House.[118] She was also the first to take up an office in the West Wing of the White House:[48] the First Lady usually stays in the East Wing. She is regarded as the most openly empowered presidential wife in American history, save for Eleanor Roosevelt.[119] Along with Senator Ted Kennedy, she was the major force behind the State Children's Health Insurance Program in 1997, a federal effort that provided state support for children whose parents were unable to provide them with health coverage. She promoted nationwide immunization against childhood illnesses and encouraged older women to seek a mammogram to detect breast cancer, with coverage provided by Medicare.[140] She successfully sought to increase research funding for prostate cancer and childhood asthma at the National Institutes of Health. The First Lady worked to investigate reports of an illness that affected veterans of the Gulf War, which became known as the Gulf War syndrome.[48] Together with Attorney General Janet Reno, Clinton helped create the Office on Violence Against Women at the Department of Justice. In 1997, she initiated and shepherded the Adoption and Safe Families Act, which she regarded as her greatest accomplishment as First Lady.[48] As First Lady, Clinton hosted numerous White House Conferences, including ones on Child Care (1997),[141] Early Childhood Development and Learning (1997),[142] and Children and Adolescents (2000),[143] and the first-ever White House Conferences on Teenagers (2000)[144] and Philanthropy (1999). Hillary Clinton traveled to 79 countries during this time,[146] breaking the mark for most-travelled First Lady held by Pat Nixon.[147] In a September 1995 speech before the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, Clinton argued very forcefully against practices that abused women around the world and in China itself,[148] declaring "that it is no longer acceptable to discuss women's rights as separate from human rights"[148] and resisting Chinese pressure to soften her remarks.[146] She was one of the most prominent international figures at the time to speak out against the treatment of Afghan women by the Islamist fundamentalist Taliban that had seized control of Afghanistan.[149][150] She helped create Vital Voices, an international initiative sponsored by the United States to promote the participation of women in the political processes of their countries. Traditional duties Clinton initiated and was Founding Chair of the Save America's Treasures program, a national effort that matched federal funds to private donations for the purpose of preserving and restoring historic items and sites,[184] including the flag that inspired the Star Spangled Banner and the First Ladies Historic Site in Canton, Ohio.[48] She was head of the White House Millennium Council,[185] and initiated the Millennium Project with monthly lectures that discuss futures studies, one of which became the first live simultaneous webcast from the White House. Clinton also created the first Sculpture Garden there, which displayed large contemporary American works of art loaned from museums in the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden.[186] Senate election of 2000 Clinton has served on five Senate committees: Committee on Budget (2001–2002),[203] Committee on Armed Services (since 2003),[204] Committee on Environment and Public Works (since 2001),[203] Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (since 2001)[203] and Special Committee on Aging.[205] She is also a Commissioner of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe[206] (since 2001).[207] Following the September 11, 2001 attacks, Clinton sought to obtain funding for the recovery efforts in New York City and security improvements in her state. Working with New York's senior senator, Charles Schumer, she was instrumental in quickly securing $21 billion in funding for the World Trade Center site's redevelopment. She subsequently took a leading role in investigating the health issues faced by 9/11 first responders.[211] Clinton voted for the USA Patriot Act in October 2001, as did all but one senator. In 2005, when the act was up for renewal, she worked to address some of the civil liberties concerns with it,[212] before voting in favor of a compromise renewed act in March 2006 that gained large majority support.[213] As a member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services, Clinton strongly supported military action in Afghanistan, saying it was a chance to combat terrorism while improving the lives of Afghan women who suffered under the Taliban government. TAKE NOTE: "should such action be required" Now those who go on about her vote can eat crow!!.... Clinton voted in favor of the October 2002 Iraq War Resolution, which authorized United States President George W. Bush to use military force against Iraq, should such action be required to enforce a United Nations Security Council Resolution after pursuing with diplomatic efforts. In late 2005, Clinton said that while immediate withdrawal from Iraq would be a mistake, Bush's pledge to stay "until the job is done" is also misguided, as it gives Iraqis "an open-ended invitation not to take care of themselves. Clinton voted in 2005 against the confirmation of John Roberts as Chief Justice of the United States,[220] and in 2006 against the nomination of Samuel Alito to the United States Supreme Court;[221] both were confirmed. In 2005, Clinton called for the Federal Trade Commission to investigate how hidden sex scenes showed up in the controversial video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.[222] Along with Senators Joe Lieberman and Evan Bayh, she introduced the Family Entertainment Protection Act, intended to protect children from inappropriate content found in video games. In March 2007 she voted in favor of a war spending bill that required President Bush to begin withdrawing troops from Iraq within a certain deadline; it passed almost completely along party lines[234] but was subsequently vetoed by President Bush. In May 2007 a compromise war funding bill that removed withdrawal deadlines but tied funding to progress benchmarks for the Iraqi government passed the Senate by a vote of 80-14 and would be signed by Bush; Clinton was one of those who voted against it. TRACMA_INTERNATIONAL_TASK_FORCE@yahoogroups.com TRACMA was a Filipino self-made Consolidated Martial Arts. The styles and techniques of which was founded by the only as yet Filipino Fourteen (14 ) degree Red Belt Master Trovador R. Ramos Sr.who was internationally recognized and acclaimed Master Trovador successfully was able to re-establish the worth of the filipinos through unbearable endurance,self- discipline, sacrifices and willfull determination that can equate and stand out over the world famous Martial Arts experts in terms of skills, talents and ability. He believed that there was always a room for improvement and endeavoured to develop his self-defense knowledge, which he inherited from his grandfather' s clan, whom were all exponents of sports in their prime days.he painstakingly analyzed, evaluated and modified every movement and step to give it a more rewarding effect in its inflictions and defense. A foretaste of his efforts was realized in his hometown at San Antonio,Zambales wherein his first gym was stablished.Martial Arts enthusiast from all over the fourteen towns of Zambales, overwhelmi ngly surged to his gym to learn the art and enlist as student/members. The art spread like a wild fire. Thus,he was recommended and personally was asked to teach TRACMA at the near-by-bases. Master Trovador was hired as the Chief Instructor Of Martial Arts at the US Naval Base namely in San Miguel Navy Radio Station and in Subic Bay in 1961,together with the US Naval Security Department-Uniform Guard Chief Capt.Andy Cascante, being appointed by Master Trovador as the Administrator of TRACMA,the Olongapo gym was organized. It was followed by another one in Pampanga, then in Tarlac, then in Pangasinan and way up to Baguio City. All of each gym on different places had an assigned trained and qualified instructors through the recommendation of Capt.Cascante. And this is where and how the Master/Founder came to know the Administrator, who also became his good friend. The established gyms and it's members were named "D'Invincibles" ,because of its aim to train only on gaining friends and did ways with enmity. It had justified the group for logically saying "One knows not of defeat when he has an enemy".Thus, Master Trovador had the opportunity to have personally met several world reknown Martial Arts Experts, such as Karate,Taekwondo, Judo,Aikido and many other self-defense groups in the Base, whom all earned their rank and belt from different foreign countries. To their surprise, they merely turned dull-rats and sluggish when faced and tried by only student beginners of Master Trovador. And because of this, frequent invitation was extended to him to lecture and demonstrate on board ships as a Civilian US Navy Martial Arts Instructor on a Temporary Additional Duty. This had made him saw several places in the world possible. And the most frequent question asked to him was on what/which book or where his art was acquired. With the humility and with a smile,he explained that such forms could not as yet be found on any bookfor it was personally developed and consolidated by him. Mr.Teddy Halper, the 1956 World Champion Of International Real Combat,in his capacity as head of the World Reasearch on Martial Arts and Education and World Authority Consultant on Real Combat studied TRACMA's art. After thorough and careful evaluation of the Filipino Martial Art Instructor's knowledge, agility, skills, technique s and ability,he then awarded and vested him the title which all of Mr.Halper's staff concurring, the "fourteen ( 14 ) Degree Redbelt Master". He decided to legalized the introduction of his self-made Consolidated Martial Arts for official recognition after returning from his duty on TAD order(Temporary Additional Duty).Authoring it's operation,he organized a non-stock corporation and called it the "international Real Combat Judo-Karate Organization" under Sec No.36882 on Nov.25,1968. He then gave birth the recognition of Filipino Martial Arts'in the country. The Philippine Karate Association (PKA)was also formed in 1970 and thinking that Master Trovador's organization was also a karate group, they listed it as a member of the formed PKA subjecting it under their leadership, laws and regulations. Master Trovador then vehemently with tact and humility objected and appealed to the PKA Secretary Atty.Jesus P.Arino.Sr. 1.That his founded Martial Arts was a self-made style and technique. Not Copied from any foreign Martial Arts. It's obviously very different in many ways from that of Karate which was an art form that originated and introduced by a foreign country. 2.That the self-made art of the Founder was already established and had proven supremacy and effeciency in several parts of the world where it has been accepted, acknowledg ed,respected and adopted as the Filipino Martial Art,and that it has already one hundred ninety seven (197) branches that had been organized outside of the philippines. 3.That to accept subordination and/or membership under Karate,a Foreign Martial Arts in the Philippines, is a disgraced and discriminationto the Filipinos and to the Republic of the Philippines. It could also degrade the Filipino Master/Founder who already had sacrificed unbearable time and efforts in his founded art's upliftment that required not only acknowledgement and respect, but also recognition on it's supremacy and efficacy above many other Martial Arts. 4.That it's name recorded in the Security and Exchange Commision was given to show due respect to the world organization of Mr.Teddy Halper, who awarded Master Trovador his present title and degree. It did not meant that it was a part of the Karate Association. Karate was merely a tiny part of the Filipino Consolidated Martial Arts and should not therefore, and in any sense of justice, fall under or to subordinate it to any foreign Martial Arts. Then Master Trovador finally decided and resolved the confusion by renaming it as "TRACMA".It did not carry the previous listed members under the non-stock organization and also primarily avoided all who were dropped out for non-participation and obvious disinterest to the group as well as those who did not kept in touch with the Founder for the last six (6) or more years. TRACMA Promotions was then formed.it was approved by the Bureau of Domestic Trade of the Philippine Under B.D.T.Cert.of Registration No.0141/77 and a B.D.T.Provincial Cert.No.P.76/ 13772 was issued to continue it's operations legally. TRACMA was anTherefore acronym for Trovador Ramos Consolidated Martial Arts. Therefore, its proper, wise and fitting to know more of the Filipino Founder in order to fully visualize the evaluation of it's significance and entirely. The Founder was likewise a professional musician. And after leaving his US Navy Civilian job as Chief Instructor,he travelled with his brothers, who were also all musicians, with an aim to earn and pursue the global recognizance of his founded Martial Arts.He established gyms in all the places he went up to.Slowly, but with wilfull determinations, the Founder courageously hurdled and surpassed all of the countless rival resentment and odds triumphantly. His tactful and friendly approached had paid off effectively. All those who opposed and confronted him,one after the other, accepted their defeat and fell on to his aide. His safe and constructive method was sincerely shown and the interest for their behalves was proven by actual efficacy of Master Trovador's art.And with this,he gained their respect and acknowledgement for his art's Mastership supremacy. They vowede down to him and submitted themselves under his tutorship and proudly adopted TRACMA as their choice of Martial Arts. HongKong was not different to all these places in the Fareast that the Master/Founder had been to.In fact,it was where he met so many challenges that gave him the limelight break to popularity.HongKong was not only an oen port, but was also a creamy melting spot for relaxation that invigoratingly invited the world noted Martial Arts Expert to converge and domicile. With the tide in favor of the Master/Founder and perhaps with lady-luck on his side,he unmolestedly proven the strength of his friendly and tactful approaches. He showed with ease the supremacy of his founded art to whomever confronted him. This had boosted his personality and his name became an epitome and by word of so many Martial Arts Experts who have tried and accepted his Mastership. Then one afternoon, the late world famous movie action star,Mr.Bruce Lee,whom in real life was an acclaimed International Martial Arts expert uninvited, visited Master Trovador. With evident curiousity and obvious intent to try the fast rising Filipino Martial Arts Master, the chinese action star challenged Master Trovador very tactfully. And on pretext of the game Mr.Lee wished to warm up nd invited anyone in the gym to try and fight with him. Mr.Lee,being an international figure and celebrity, aside from being a Chinese Martial Art Idol,is a very respected man, thus,no one dared to accept the challenge. And with countless avid fans in addition to so many media men, camera men and movie personalities whom were always following him,so many people witnessed that event. The Filipino Master had no alternative but to oblige to protect the prestige and image of his founded art for his gym's respectability, for his member's moral, for the pride of the Filipinos as a whole and for honour to his country, the Republic of the Philippines. Together with all those people around him and those who believed and supported in his invincibility, Mr.Lee's superb fighting speed, knowledge and agility had made him over confident.Master Trovador,on the other hand, had that equalled timing, guilful defenses and counters that kept him unperturbed by human opinion. Both started with great confidensed and it was actually the audience whom visibly showed worriness than excitement of the sparring's result. The Filipino Master's dynamic sportmanship and professionalism however, prevented the would be most embarassing position and unmendabledisgraced of the famous Chinese Action Movie Star.Instead of subduing Mr.Lee,which obviously could have been easily done,Master Trovador caught the Chinese Actor's fall twice and with out an attempt to inflict a blow.He vowede to signify his desire to put an end in the worthless sparring in cognizance in the Martial Arts Master especially in an official sport fighting. Master Trovador delightfully amazed all with his scientific and perfect timing, thwarting with case and beauty of Mr.Lee's all out efforts of attack with lightning speed and agility which resulted in vainglory. He could have won and done it with all the justification in the book, but he would just be creating an untoward feeling among the Chinese followers or perhaps eighty percent (80%)of the HongKong Chinese population who loved and idolized Mr.Lee.He then signalled the Chinese Action Movie Star to stop the fight and was gladly acknowledge. In return out of gratitude,Mr. Lee loudly announced that his main purpose at the gym was not to challenge Master Trovador nor sar with him but to offer him a good role and be a part of his forth coming movie entitled "Enter The Dragon". They received thunderous applauses and both became good friends.however, the offer was later turned down tactfully in the interest of preserving Filipino Prestige, ego and principles.Neverthe less,Mr.Lee requested to Master Trovador to teach him some routines to use in another movie productions to be filmed entirely in Italy, which was entitled "The rhythm Man",named after Master Trovador's perfect rhythm and timing. He was then recognized as Bruce Lee's coach.Unfortunately ,the Chinese famous Action Star's untimely death shattered the realization of the said film. Amazingly,an American Producer of Pan Asia Movie Production was one of those who witnessed the sparring of the two Martial Arts Experts and offered Master Trovador a directorial action job in his company. It was a shining oppurtunity to once more further the expansion of the Filipino Martial Arts, inspite of the monitorial meagerness, compared to that of Bruce Lee's offer which he turned down politely, the Founder readily accepted the offer. He went with the company to so many places in the world, directing action portions and also acting when giving an important and good role to play. This likewise made possible the establishment of TRACMA's gyms in so many places in the world. And made TRACMA a legend etched a deep in history never to be oblitarated that members distinguished it with pride and honor, worth of the highest quality to preserve. Master Trovador returned back as well polished movie star and was offered to do so several chinese action movies on which some where box office record grosser in japan,Australia and several place in the world. Then a Filipino producer of a certain movie outfit met Master Trovador in Hongkong and offered him to make a movie in the Philippines. "The Redbelt Master" which earned him for the first time, acceptance and cognizance in the movie world of his own country after working at many foreign movies. And another offer came in promptly."Sandugo" ,which was a top grosser. Then it was followed by the "Big Fist" that made him stay in the Philippines a little longer. In support to a Presidential Decree No.604 in 1975 at this juncture, the Inc's Nation Wide Development of Sports and Physical Fitness Program decided then that TRACMA art be nationally adopted. It was not because the Master/Founder was a brethren of good standing but due to it's high degree of choice in it's development program and fervent nationalistic support. Aware of the officers significance, Master Trovador happily accepted and regarded it as another challenge whether he could once more stand out in terms of leadership dynamism. To ascertain a resounding success,he stayed in the country for a couple of years to oversea the establishment of TRACMA schools and nationwide teaching for the interest of his country and fellow filipinos. After a while,Master Trovador continued his career in the music world as a Musical Director in Hong Kong.Aside from his high paying job in the music industry,he still continued teaching TRACMA.And beacuse of his greatness in the art, countless people of a new batch registered to him as a student of TRACMA. Being one of the pioneer brethren of the INC in Hongkong,Master Trovador assisted on establishing a locale in the country and congregate worship services. He actively participated in the Kowloon Locale being one of the officer and even becoming the Head Deacon. Then Master Trovador met Mr.Roger Boschman,an INC member, who is also an exponent and an ardent lover of Martial Arts. The two became good friends.Mr.Boschman eventually studied and learned TRACMA.With great appreciation and high regard to TRACMA's art and especially to the Master/Founder, Mr.Boschman, together with Master/Founder Trovador and Administrator Capt.Cascante, agreed and got together and pursued the revitalization of TRACMA.Thus, on April 24,1988 TRACMA World Wide FEDERATION as registered in Hong Kong with Master Trovador Ramos Sr. as the Founder/President and titular head and Mr.Roger Boschman as the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. However, Capt.Andy Cascante was still the International Consultant/Adviser and managed TRACMA PROMOTIONS in the Philippines nation-wide, it was later on re-registered as Philippines TRACMA World Wide. In 1988,Mater Trovador's two youngest children came to HongKong to study. The opportunity that his children were there enabled him to upgrade the teaching of TRACMA to them. His youngest son Trovador A.Ramos Jr. or James as they call him and his youngest daughter Lyrabelle A.Ramos or simply Lyra to them, learned fast and well. Thus, when both acquired Black Belt, they were officiated by Mater Trovador as instructors. Although Lyra concentrated on the level of administrative, James on the other hand actively trained the TRACMA students and pursued on to a higher belt and earned the title of 8th Degree Black Belt. Then in 1992,Cathay Pacific Airlines,an internationallly acclaimed commercial airline company in HongKong, contracted TRACMA to teach Consolidated Martial Arts Techniques to all it's Pilots,Flight Attendants and Management Team. The teaching and training took place in the gym of the Cathay Pacific Building near the Kai Tak (old) Airport. With the personal supervision of Master Trovador, this deal was done and administered by James and Lyra.Aside from their regular training of forms, they developed the Cathay employees alertness/rediness and fast adaptation to crucial situation in line of duty and had provided Special anti-hijacking Training Course

OBAMA speech in full? “We the people, in order to form a more perfect union.” Two hundred and twenty one years ago, in a hall that still stands across the street, a group of men gathered and, with these simple words, launched America’s improbable experiment in democracy. Farmers and scholars; statesmen and patriots who had traveled across an ocean to escape tyranny and persecution finally made real their declaration of independence at a Philadelphia convention that lasted through the spring of 1787. The document they produced was eventually signed but ultimately unfinished. It was stained by this nation’s original sin of slavery, a question that divided the colonies and brought the convention to a stalemate until the founders chose to allow the slave trade to continue for at least twenty more years, and to leave any final resolution to future generations. Of course, the answer to the slavery question was already embedded within our Constitution – a Constitution that had at is very core the ideal of equal citizenship under the law; a Constitution that promised its people liberty, and justice, and a union that could be and should be perfected over time. And yet words on a parchment would not be enough to deliver slaves from bondage, or provide men and women of every color and creed their full rights and obligations as citizens of the United States. What would be needed were Americans in successive generations who were willing to do their part – through protests and struggle, on the streets and in the courts, through a civil war and civil disobedience and always at great risk - to narrow that gap between the promise of our ideals and the reality of their time. This was one of the tasks we set forth at the beginning of this campaign – to continue the long march of those who came before us, a march for a more just, more equal, more free, more caring and more prosperous America. I chose to run for the presidency at this moment in history because I believe deeply that we cannot solve the challenges of our time unless we solve them together – unless we perfect our union by understanding that we may have different stories, but we hold common hopes; that we may not look the same and we may not have come from the same place, but we all want to move in the same direction – towards a better future for of children and our grandchildren. This belief comes from my unyielding faith in the decency and generosity of the American people. But it also comes from my own American story. I am the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas. I was raised with the help of a white grandfather who survived a Depression to serve in Patton’s Army during World War II and a white grandmother who worked on a bomber assembly line at Fort Leavenworth while he was overseas. I’ve gone to some of the best schools in America and lived in one of the world’s poorest nations. I am married to a black American who carries within her the blood of slaves and slaveowners – an inheritance we pass on to our two precious daughters. I have brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins, of every race and every hue, scattered across three continents, and for as long as I live, I will never forget that in no other country on Earth is my story even possible. It’s a story that hasn’t made me the most conventional candidate. But it is a story that has seared into my genetic makeup the idea that this nation is more than the sum of its parts – that out of many, we are truly one. Throughout the first year of this campaign, against all predictions to the contrary, we saw how hungry the American people were for this message of unity. Despite the temptation to view my candidacy through a purely racial lens, we won commanding victories in states with some of the whitest populations in the country. In South Carolina, where the Confederate Flag still flies, we built a powerful coalition of African Americans and white Americans. This is not to say that race has not been an issue in the campaign. At various stages in the campaign, some commentators have deemed me either “too black” or “not black enough.” We saw racial tensions bubble to the surface during the week before the South Carolina primary. The press has scoured every exit poll for the latest evidence of racial polarization, not just in terms of white and black, but black and brown as well. And yet, it has only been in the last couple of weeks that the discussion of race in this campaign has taken a particularly divisive turn. On one end of the spectrum, we’ve heard the implication that my candidacy is somehow an exercise in affirmative action; that it’s based solely on the desire of wide-eyed liberals to purchase racial reconciliation on the cheap. On the other end, we’ve heard my former pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, use incendiary language to express views that have the potential not only to widen the racial divide, but views that denigrate both the greatness and the goodness of our nation; that rightly offend white and black alike. I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely – just as I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed. But the remarks that have caused this recent firestorm weren’t simply controversial. They weren’t simply a religious leader’s effort to speak out against perceived injustice. Instead, they expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country – a view that sees white racism as endemic, and that elevates what is wrong with America above all that we know is right with America; a view that sees the conflicts in the Middle East as rooted primarily in the actions of stalwart allies like Israel, instead of emanating from the perverse and hateful ideologies of radical Islam. As such, Reverend Wright’s comments were not only wrong but divisive, divisive at a time when we need unity; racially charged at a time when we need to come together to solve a set of monumental problems – two wars, a terrorist threat, a falling economy, a chronic health care crisis and potentially devastating climate change; problems that are neither black or white or Latino or Asian, but rather problems that confront us all. Given my background, my politics, and my professed values and ideals, there will no doubt be those for whom my statements of condemnation are not enough. Why associate myself with Reverend Wright in the first place, they may ask? Why not join another church? And I confess that if all that I knew of Reverend Wright were the snippets of those sermons that have run in an endless loop on the television and You Tube, or if Trinity United Church of Christ conformed to the caricatures being peddled by some commentators, there is no doubt that I would react in much the same way But the truth is, that isn’t all that I know of the man. The man I met more than twenty years ago is a man who helped introduce me to my Christian faith, a man who spoke to me about our obligations to love one another; to care for the sick and lift up the poor. He is a man who served his country as a U.S. Marine; who has studied and lectured at some of the finest universities and seminaries in the country, and who for over thirty years led a church that serves the community by doing God’s work here on Earth – by housing the homeless, ministering to the needy, providing day care services and scholarships and prison ministries, and reaching out to those suffering from HIV/AIDS. In my first book, Dreams From My Father, I described the experience of my first service at Trinity: “People began to shout, to rise from their seats and clap and cry out, a forceful wind carrying the reverend’s voice up into the rafters….And in that single note – hope! – I heard something else; at the foot of that cross, inside the thousands of churches across the city, I imagined the stories of ordinary black people merging with the stories of David and Goliath, Moses and Pharaoh, the Christians in the lion’s den, Ezekiel’s field of dry bones. Those stories – of survival, and freedom, and hope – became our story, my story; the blood that had spilled was our blood, the tears our tears; until this black church, on this bright day, seemed once more a vessel carrying the story of a people into future generations and into a larger world. Our trials and triumphs became at once unique and universal, black and more than black; in chronicling our journey, the stories and songs gave us a means to reclaim memories that we didn’t need to feel shame about…memories that all people might study and cherish – and with which we could start to rebuild.” That has been my experience at Trinity. Like other predominantly black churches across the country, Trinity embodies the black community in its entirety – the doctor and the welfare mom, the model student and the former gang-banger. Like other black churches, Trinity’s services are full of raucous laughter and sometimes bawdy humor. They are full of dancing, clapping, screaming and shouting that may seem jarring to the untrained ear. The church contains in full the kindness and cruelty, the fierce intelligence and the shocking ignorance, the struggles and successes, the love and yes, the bitterness and bias that make up the black experience in America. And this helps explain, perhaps, my relationship with Reverend Wright. As imperfect as he may be, he has been like family to me. He strengthened my faith, officiated my wedding, and baptized my children. Not once in my conversations with him have I heard him talk about any ethnic group in derogatory terms, or treat whites with whom he interacted with anything but courtesy and respect. He contains within him the contradictions – the good and the bad – of the community that he has served diligently for so many years. I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe. These people are a part of me. And they are a part of America, this country that I love. Some will see this as an attempt to justify or excuse comments that are simply inexcusable. I can assure you it is not. I suppose the politically safe thing would be to move on from this episode and just hope that it fades into the woodwork. We can dismiss Reverend Wright as a crank or a demagogue, just as some have dismissed Geraldine Ferraro, in the aftermath of her recent statements, as harboring some deep-seated racial bias. But race is an issue that I believe this nation cannot afford to ignore right now. We would be making the same mistake that Reverend Wright made in his offending sermons about America – to simplify and stereotype and amplify the negative to the point that it distorts reality. The fact is that the comments that have been made and the issues that have surfaced over the last few weeks reflect the complexities of race in this country that we’ve never really worked through – a part of our union that we have yet to perfect. And if we walk away now, if we simply retreat into our respective corners, we will never be able to come together and solve challenges like health care, or education, or the need to find good jobs for every American. Understanding this reality requires a reminder of how we arrived at this point. As William Faulkner once wrote, “The past isn’t dead and buried. In fact, it isn’t even past.” We do not need to recite here the history of racial injustice in this country. But we do need to remind ourselves that so many of the disparities that exist in the African-American community today can be directly traced to inequalities passed on from an earlier generation that suffered under the brutal legacy of slavery and Jim Crow. Segregated schools were, and are, inferior schools; we still haven’t fixed them, fifty years after Brown v. Board of Education, and the inferior education they provided, then and now, helps explain the pervasive achievement gap between today’s black and white students. Legalized discrimination - where blacks were prevented, often through violence, from owning property, or loans were not granted to African-American business owners, or black homeowners could not access FHA mortgages, or blacks were excluded from unions, or the police force, or fire departments – meant that black families could not amass any meaningful wealth to bequeath to future generations. That history helps explain the wealth and income gap between black and white, and the concentrated pockets of poverty that persists in so many of today’s urban and rural communities. A lack of economic opportunity among black men, and the shame and frustration that came from not being able to provide for one’s family, contributed to the erosion of black families – a problem that welfare policies for many years may have worsened. And the lack of basic services in so many urban black neighborhoods – parks for kids to play in, police walking the beat, regular garbage pick-up and building code enforcement – all helped create a cycle of violence, blight and neglect that continue to haunt us. This is the reality in which Reverend Wright and other African-Americans of his generation grew up. They came of age in the late fifties and early sixties, a time when segregation was still the law of the land and opportunity was systematically constricted. What’s remarkable is not how many failed in the face of discrimination, but rather how many men and women overcame the odds; how many were able to make a way out of no way for those like me who would come after them. But for all those who scratched and clawed their way to get a piece of the American Dream, there were many who didn’t make it – those who were ultimately defeated, in one way or another, by discrimination. That legacy of defeat was passed on to future generations – those young men and increasingly young women who we see standing on street corners or languishing in our prisons, without hope or prospects for the future. Even for those blacks who did make it, questions of race, and racism, continue to define their worldview in fundamental ways. For the men and women of Reverend Wright’s generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away; nor has the anger and the bitterness of those years. That anger may not get expressed in public, in front of white co-workers or white friends. But it does find voice in the barbershop or around the kitchen table. At times, that anger is exploited by politicians, to gin up votes along racial lines, or to make up for a politician’s own failings. And occasionally it finds voice in the church on Sunday morning, in the pulpit and in the pews. The fact that so many people are surprised to hear that anger in some of Reverend Wright’s sermons simply reminds us of the old truism that the most segregated hour in American life occurs on Sunday morning. That anger is not always productive; indeed, all too often it distracts attention from solving real problems; it keeps us from squarely facing our own complicity in our condition, and prevents the African-American community from forging the alliances it needs to bring about real change. But the anger is real; it is powerful; and to simply wish it away, to condemn it without understanding its roots, only serves to widen the chasm of misunderstanding that exists between the races. In fact, a similar anger exists within segments of the white community. Most working- and middle-class white Americans don’t feel that they have been particularly privileged by their race. Their experience is the immigrant experience – as far as they’re concerned, no one’s handed them anything, they’ve built it from scratch. They’ve worked hard all their lives, many times only to see their jobs shipped overseas or their pension dumped after a lifetime of labor. They are anxious about their futures, and feel their dreams slipping away; in an era of stagnant wages and global competition, opportunity comes to be seen as a zero sum game, in which your dreams come at my expense. So when they are told to bus their children to a school across town; when they hear that an African American is getting an advantage in landing a good job or a spot in a good college because of an injustice that they themselves never committed; when they’re told that their fears about crime in urban neighborhoods are somehow prejudiced, resentment builds over time. Like the anger within the black community, these resentments aren’t always expressed in polite company. But they have helped shape the political landscape for at least a generation. Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition. Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends. Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism. Just as black anger often proved counterproductive, so have these white resentments distracted attention from the real culprits of the middle class squeeze – a corporate culture rife with inside dealing, questionable accounting practices, and short-term greed; a Washington dominated by lobbyists and special interests; economic policies that favor the few over the many. And yet, to wish away the resentments of white Americans, to label them as misguided or even racist, without recognizing they are grounded in legitimate concerns – this too widens the racial divide, and blocks the path to understanding. This is where we are right now. It’s a racial stalemate we’ve been stuck in for years. Contrary to the claims of some of my critics, black and white, I have never been so naïve as to believe that we can get beyond our racial divisions in a single election cycle, or with a single candidacy – particularly a candidacy as imperfect as my own. But I have asserted a firm conviction – a conviction rooted in my faith in God and my faith in the American people – that working together we can move beyond some of our old racial wounds, and that in fact we have no choice is we are to continue on the path of a more perfect union. For the African-American community, that path means embracing the burdens of our past without becoming victims of our past. It means continuing to insist on a full measure of justice in every aspect of American life. But it also means binding our particular grievances – for better health care, and better schools, and better jobs - to the larger aspirations of all Americans -- the white woman struggling to break the glass ceiling, the white man whose been laid off, the immigrant trying to feed his family. And it means taking full responsibility for own lives – by demanding more from our fathers, and spending more time with our children, and reading to them, and teaching them that while they may face challenges and discrimination in their own lives, they must never succumb to despair or cynicism; they must always believe that they can write their own destiny. Ironically, this quintessentially American – and yes, conservative – notion of self-help found frequent expression in Reverend Wright’s sermons. But what my former pastor too often failed to understand is that embarking on a program of self-help also requires a belief that society can change. The profound mistake of Reverend Wright’s sermons is not that he spoke about racism in our society. It’s that he spoke as if our society was static; as if no progress has been made; as if this country – a country that has made it possible for one of his own members to run for the highest office in the land and build a coalition of white and black; Latino and Asian, rich and poor, young and old -- is still irrevocably bound to a tragic past. But what we know -- what we have seen – is that America can change. That is true genius of this nation. What we have already achieved gives us hope – the audacity to hope – for what we can and must achieve tomorrow. In the white community, the path to a more perfect union means acknowledging that what ails the African-American community does not just exist in the minds of black people; that the legacy of discrimination - and current incidents of discrimination, while less overt than in the past - are real and must be addressed. Not just with words, but with deeds – by investing in our schools and our communities; by enforcing our civil rights laws and ensuring fairness in our criminal justice system; by providing this generation with ladders of opportunity that were unavailable for previous generations. It requires all Americans to realize that your dreams do not have to come at the expense of my dreams; that investing in the health, welfare, and education of black and brown and white children will ultimately help all of America prosper. In the end, then, what is called for is nothing more, and nothing less, than what all the world’s great religions demand – that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Let us be our brother’s keeper, Scripture tells us. Let us be our sister’s keeper. Let us find that common stake we all have in one another, and let our politics reflect that spirit as well. For we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division, and conflict, and cynicism. We can tackle race only as spectacle – as we did in the OJ trial – or in the wake of tragedy, as we did in the aftermath of Katrina - or as fodder for the nightly news. We can play Reverend Wright’s sermons on every channel, every day and talk about them from now until the election, and make the only question in this campaign whether or not the American people think that I somehow believe or sympathize with his most offensive words. We can pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she’s playing the race card, or we can speculate on whether white men will all flock to John McCain in the general election regardless of his policies. We can do that. But if we do, I can tell you that in the next election, we’ll be talking about some other distraction. And then another one. And then another one. And nothing will change. That is one option. Or, at this moment, in this election, we can come together and say, “Not this time.” This time we want to talk about the crumbling schools that are stealing the future of black children and white children and Asian children and Hispanic children and Native American children. This time we want to reject the cynicism that tells us that these kids can’t learn; that those kids who don’t look like us are somebody else’s problem. The children of America are not those kids, they are our kids, and we will not let them fall behind in a 21st century economy. Not this time. This time we want to talk about how the lines in the Emergency Room are filled with whites and blacks and Hispanics who do not have health care; who don’t have the power on their own to overcome the special interests in Washington, but who can take them on if we do it together. This time we want to talk about the shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race, and the homes for sale that once belonged to Americans from every religion, every region, every walk of life. This time we want to talk about the fact that the real problem is not that someone who doesn’t look like you might take your job; it’s that the corporation you work for will ship it overseas for nothing more than a profit. This time we want to talk about the men and women of every color and creed who serve together, and fight together, and bleed together under the same proud flag. We want to talk about how to bring them home from a war that never should’ve been authorized and never should’ve been waged, and we want to talk about how we’ll show our patriotism by caring for them, and their families, and giving them the benefits they have earned. I would not be running for President if I didn’t believe with all my heart that this is what the vast majority of Americans want for this country. This union may never be perfect, but generation after generation has shown that it can always be perfected. And today, whenever I find myself feeling doubtful or cynical about this possibility, what gives me the most hope is the next generation – the young people whose attitudes and beliefs and openness to change have already made history in this election. There is one story in particularly that I’d like to leave you with today – a story I told when I had the great honor of speaking on Dr. King’s birthday at his home church, Ebenezer Baptist, in Atlanta. There is a young, twenty-three year old white woman named Ashley Baia who organized for our campaign in Florence, South Carolina. She had been working to organize a mostly African-American community since the beginning of this campaign, and one day she was at a roundtable discussion where everyone went around telling their story and why they were there. And Ashley said that when she was nine years old, her mother got cancer. And because she had to miss days of work, she was let go and lost her health care. They had to file for bankruptcy, and that’s when Ashley decided that she had to do something to help her mom. She knew that food was one of their most expensive costs, and so Ashley convinced her mother that what she really liked and really wanted to eat more than anything else was mustard and relish sandwiches. Because that was the cheapest way to eat. She did this for a year until her mom got better, and she told everyone at the roundtable that the reason she joined our campaign was so that she could help the millions of other children in the country who want and need to help their parents too. Now Ashley might have made a different choice. Perhaps somebody told her along the way that the source of her mother’s problems were blacks who were on welfare and too lazy to work, or Hispanics who were coming into the country illegally. But she didn’t. She sought out allies in her fight against injustice. Anyway, Ashley finishes her story and then goes around the room and asks everyone else why they’re supporting the campaign. They all have different stories and reasons. Many bring up a specific issue. And finally they come to this elderly black man who’s been sitting there quietly the entire time. And Ashley asks him why he’s there. And he does not bring up a specific issue. He does not say health care or the economy. He does not say education or the war. He does not say that he was there because of Barack Obama. He simply says to everyone in the room, “I am here because of Ashley.” “I’m here because of Ashley.” By itself, that single moment of recognition between that young white girl and that old black man is not enough. It is not enough to give health care to the sick, or jobs to the jobless, or education to our children. But it is where we start. It is where our union grows stronger. And as so many generations have come to realize over the course of the two-hundred and twenty one years since a band of patriots signed that document in Philadelphia, that is where the perfection begins. http://www.drudgereport.com/flashos.htm After read this, how in the world are people still hating on this Man??? There is really no hope for us, if we continue to be sheep, unity should be our mission

What do you think of this letter written to Obama? Dear President Obama: You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me. You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core. You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others. You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail. You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad. Lou Pritchett Note: Lou Pritchett is a former vice president of Procter & Gamble whose career at that company spanned 36 years before his retirement in 1989, and he is the author of the 1995 business book, Stop Paddling & Start Rocking the Boat. Mr. Pritchett confirmed that he was indeed the author of the much-circulated "open letter." “I did write the 'you scare me' letter. I sent it to the NY Times but they never acknowledged or published it. However, it hit the internet and according to the ‘experts’ has had over 500,000 hits.
Jehovah’s Witnesses: How do your young people break into the job market in this tough economy? According to the Pew Report, 65 percent of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the United States have family incomes that would put them well below middle-class standards. Less than six percent of them have graduated from a college or university – and most of those completed their degree prior to becoming a witness. That’s because education beyond high school is viewed as Satanic “temptations,” listed alongside smoking cigarettes, using illegal drugs, and watching immoral movies: http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/upload/2009/10/its_a_gateway_drug_to_a_lifeti/temptation.jpeg Anyway, most young JWs do have work experience distributing magazines for the Watchtower Corporation and trying to convince strangers to have a NWT Bible study with them. The question is whether this kind of experience would be useful in finding a good job in the real world. After all, some kinds of work-experience (like weapons maintenance in the military) may not have an obvious civilian equivalent. So let’s say that the typical Jehovah’s Witness young man or young lady is a high school graduate only and has spent the majority of his/her free-time engaged in direct-marketing of Watchtower Magazines. Now this person is getting older and looking for a stable job that would pay enough to survive on and hopefully have health insurance benefits. I’m thinking one line of work would be in telemarketing or perhaps selling merchandise like Kirby vacuum cleaners door-to-door. But how does this play out in real life? When you get to be in your mid-twenties and realize that (50 hours a month of) “Kingdom ministry” isn’t going to put food on the table for the kids, what do you do about that? Are a lot of Jehovah’s Witnesses choosing to go to trade schools in their mid-twenties? I’m guessing that would be the most logical path (since telemarketing and door-to-door sales are not really solid careers). What’s your take on this? How do young JWs end up making a living in this economy (where most of the low-skilled jobs have been shipped overseas to China). Hi Pedro: That depends a lot of what the student majors in. If the student majors in a course of study that results in some sort of a state certificate or professional endorsement, then the chances of getting a job are very good (provided you are willing to relocate if necessary). Examples of such professions would include elementary education, physical therapy, mechanical engineering, paralegal studies, landscape architecture, and social work. If, on the other hand, you major in anthropology, the chances of getting a job in that field are much lower. @fanspoman: When I said that pursuing higher education at a university is “listed alongside” using illegal drugs and watching immoral movies, I was quoting verbatim from the Sept. 1 edition of the Watchtower Magazine. I provided you a link to a scan of that page. So if you doubt me, you can easily click on the link and figure out that I am telling the truth. Also, in your last paragraph, are you implying that part of “staying faithful and obedient” to Jehovah is not attending a university? Did Jehovah reveal this truth to you in a vision? How did you find this out? @Pedro: I forgot to mention careers in the medical field such as nursing and respiratory therapy. Those are some other examples of how getting a four-year degree results in a state license. When My father was in high school (1957), there were lots of good paying jobs for high school graduates. But many of those jobs have been replaced by machines and automated assembly lines. Many of them have left the country. @fanspoman: I just noticed that on your profile, you are claiming to be me. I want to clarify for everyone that I do not maintain multiple profiles in order to talk to myself. Certain baseball fans do this, but I do not. @Shadow night: I never claimed that a university education “guarantees” increased income. Second, the reality is that hardly any JWs (in good standing) attend university because they are taught that doing this is wrong. Fourth, Biblical principles of honesty and integrity only get you so far. An honest mechanical engineer is a lot more employable than an honest greeter at Wal-Mart. Let’s put it this way, if you plan on remaining single (no children), then marketing magazines for the Watchtower might make sense. If you plan on having a family, then higher education is an investment in the future that will pay for itself many times over (provided you choose a good major in college).
How to get legal representation Class Action Suit? As an American victimized in the 80’s by the New World Order schemes of Reagan and Bush, I feel a class action restitution should be made to those who were rifted out of their jobs, careers, retirements, and benefits and subsequently savings. The FASB ruling was nationalization of an employee benefits to fund corporations in the New World Order Goals and Global Fascism. I was a single parent raising my daughters in my home town where my parents lived. DuPont took us over , Conoco, and Americans were rifted all over the world as many wrote my father who had been in multiple overseas assignments. It was truly sad to watch the company destroyed and my home town destroyed. I filed a discrimination complaint on the grounds of disparate effect of terminations and was denied due process as the EEOC reported not on their findings regarding terminations but the existing population of the workforce. The president of the Oklahoma legal association unknown to me resided in the area and I could not get a lawyer to represent me and due process was denied. I had also filed through the state Department of Human Rights which did nothing. I likewise was slandered and libeled and blackballed and could not find work consistent with my education and experience.. My wife was so unhappy I finally had to encourage he find another man that could support her which she did. For a while I lived in a school bus. My retirement would have amounted to about a million dollars and my savings were wiped out putting kids through college , getting them married, etc. I would say any rights I thought I and my family had as an American citizens were totally and intentionally destroyed by the government and the corporations. Those damages continue to this day. No I am not bitter. If a debt is created it should be paid. I believe in personal responsibility and if a loss is created it should be dealt with. No I am not bitter. If a debt is created it should be paid. I believe in personal responsibility and if a loss is created it should be dealt with. There is no reason for any American to have to tolerate this kind of abuse.
what is the dumbest thing america has done the past 8 years? 1. rape poor americans with high inflation (gas, food, etc) 2. allow the patriot act (spying on you, against the constitution) 3. spend large sums of money on a war that wasn't supposed to happen in the first place 4. have a lousy leader that should have been impeached long ago for not having the integrity to speak properly, you need this as a leader to drive your country in the right direction 5. too many rich in high places getting more tax breaks and their business activities being more profitable due to more deregulation 6. trapping poor americans in bad loans that they should have never acquired in the first place 7. poor regulation of corporations to leave this country at ease and create imports while at the same time taking careers of americans over to the east 8. poor education that does not create jobs, the jobs today are really corrupt because it's favoritism and not discipline 9. media ignorance, they don't make the issues clear enough for us to believe 10. lies
What education/experience would help someone move up in the grocery store business/corporation? I have a friend who wanted me to ask this online since he doesn't have Internet. He works as a cashier right now and was thinking about possibly pursuing a career in the grocery store business, but wants to move his way up. He wants to move up past the usual cashier/manager positions and wants to make it up to corporate business; I think that's what he wants me to find out about. He wants to know what type of education and experience fields he needs to get to put on a resume. Does anyone have any practical advice?

Can you please edit my paper? The upcoming presidential election proves to be a contest of the ages. The race has been riddled with drama. On one hand we have Barack Obama the Democratic Nominee. Second we have John McCain of the Republican Party. Both have illustrious political careers, yet only one will become our next President. Only one will hold the reigns of not only our Country but will guide its direction. Each of these candidates differs in key areas including the situation in Iraq, our economy, and abortion. It is absolutely key that we decipher their intentions for they will decide the course of our future The war raging in Iraq has been under a great deal of debate and scrutiny. Not only has it been a heated topic, but it’s an absolutely key section during this Presidential election. Barack Obama has always been a stark opponent to the war in Iraq. As a senator in Illinois he strongly campaigned against the war during his 2004 senate bid. He went on to state “I am not opposed to all wars; I am opposed to dumb wars.” The Presidential hopeful is also opposed to the current influx of troops. He specifically supports a phased withdrawal of troops from Iraq. He believes that the Iraqi people can make a determination about how they should move forward. Obama doesn’t want to sacrifice any more American lives for a foreign cause. As a senator in 2002 McCain voted for sending and authorizing the use of American Armed forces to wage war in Iraq. John McCain is a current supporter of George W. Bush’s policies concerning the war in Iraq, though he has criticized the management of the war. He also supports the current increase of troops, and wants to maintain levels of troops in Iraq. Our Economy has always been a great concern as it currently affects our daily lives. Whether it is the current tax incentives, or our dependence on foreign oil. Though each candidate differs we should pay close attention to their expressed policies. Barack supports tax incentives that will aide companies who keep jobs here in the U.S. He also suggests a $75 billion dollar plan for our economy that would return a $500 dollar tax rebate along with a $250 dollar social security supplement for senior citizens. Obama intends to use federal money for states hit hardest by the housing crisis. This would aide California greatly due to many of the foreclosures we have experienced. Barack would also put more federal spending into unemployment. It is clear that Barack cares for the typical person as opposed to big business. On the other hand presidential hopefully McCain wants to lower taxes to help small business. Yet he wants to slice the corporate tax rate from 35% down to 25%. John also intends to give tax breaks to businesses that invest in equipment and technology. The clear trend through McCain shows that he favors business and corporations. The debate concerning pro-life and pro-choice has been ever so heated and proves to be a dramatic focal point during this upcoming election. Ever since the Supreme Court’s dramatic decision in Roe v. Wade that ultimately made abortion legal, has the debate continued to surge. Barack Obama has always remained a constant supporter of the pro-choice ideal. He supports a woman’s right to choose as protected by the U.S constitution. “A woman’s ability to decide how many children to have and when, without interference from the government, is one of the most fundamental rights we possess. It is not just an issue of choice, but equality and opportunity for all women.” Barack opposes overturning the decision of Roe v. Wade and has made it absolutely clear that he would fight any attempt to rescind it. In the Illinois senate he voted against a bill that would ultimately ban late-term abortions due to the stipulation that it didn’t contain a clause that would protect the mother’s life. It’s simple to see that Obama clearly values the life of the individual and trusts women to make their own decisions concerning their body. McCain remains a stark supporter of pro-life. He believes that abortion should only be legal only if the pregnancy is due to rape, incest, or if the mother’s life is in jeopardy. In August of 1999 McCain said “I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade, which would then force X number of women in American to undergo illegal and dangerous operations.” Then in February 2007 he went on to say “I do not support Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision and must be overturned” Which was a clear flip flop from his previous statement. McCain would also fight any use of federal money for public funding of abortions or organizations that perform them. He also voted NO to an amendment during the 2006 Fiscal year budget that would allocate $100 million for funding to reduce teen pregnancy through the use of education and contraceptives. McCain is clearly against such groups such as Planned Parenthood who offer education and support for the youth. The facts are clear and ultimately it is up to use to decide which leader will
college major?? I am a freshman in college and want to switch my major to history and minor in political science..i started out as a business major just because my family said it would be a good major and i figured i would make good money right out of college...but i quickly found out that i hate the business major...i like poly sci better but my school only has a minor available for political science so thats why i would major in history and minor in political science...the thing is if i major in history i don't want a career in history...i love learning about history and political science but i don't want to be a teacher or work in a boring museum...what are some realistic careers with a degree in history and minor in political science?..and does this mean ill be poor for the rest of my life if i major in this?..because i realize sometimes employers think history majors don't have the education to work for large corporations...any help or suggestions?..i would really appreciate it.

McCain is a fraud who lies, cheats and steals. Please don't tell me that the liberal writers from the WaPo can't see into the true nature of his character. I know stuff gets edited, but, please tell us that you people have the capacity to, if not write about, then at least perceive the truth. When we've lost the ability to see and speak or write the truth, then we have lost our way. The New York Times did an investigation and called out ***Sen. McCain for marrying into an organized crime family***. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/23/us/politics/23mccain.html It would be nice if the good folks at the WaPo would investigate this matter. If it was false, then McCain would have sued the NYT. So I'm assuming that the above article is true. Which begs the question: **Why isn't the WaPo investigating and reporting this?** Iraq war - started with lies including WMD http://www.bushwatch.com/bushlies.htm McCain is working for corporates Tax reduction for corporates from 35% to 25% $200 billions tax cuts for corporates $300 billions tax cuts for rich people More wars means more profits for Halliburton ($50 billions/year) More drilling in Alaska means more checks for Alaskans and more money for oil corporations. McCain supporter Greenspan too criticized his tax plan ( $3.3 trillions hole, A burden for future American generation ) http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601068&sid=a.BrvyBtV8CM&refer=home SPREAD THE TRUTH.
