How hard is it to play Division III Softball??

How hard is it to play Division III Softball?? Do you have to be a four year varsity player? Two year varsity player? Or only a senior varsity player if you go to a large competitive school? Is it harder to play at a school with a history of success like the University of St. Thomas (in Minnesota) or pretty much equal? Do they focus more on academics or athletic skill?

1. its no hard to play division III you have to play high school but you dont have to be spectacular because alot of these colleges dont care bout sports just offer them most of these schools are big academic schools
2. i asked my husband for this one....he says that if you're a man its real easy
