Any psychologists that want to help me?
I want to be a psychologist.. but where do i begin? I know the courses i need to take in college and all but what is "A doctoral degree from an APA accredited university"?? and how do i get my license? What is the difference between a councilorand a psychologist? This all seems so much more complex than i thought it was and also i know what i want to do as my job but i have no clue what area of psychology it falls into.. such as clinical or whatever.. i ddon'tknow. im just confused and i need like an aadviseror something.. Just somebody to talk to about it and answer my questions so please help. Thanks. Oh and is a a terrible idea to get a degree online?

- It's good that you're thinking about your future, but first I think you need to think about your present. Take a few English and Writing courses, and then show a little initiative and look up the information yourself! You can do it!

- I am also pursuing a career in psychology. To be licensed, a psychologist must complete a doctorate degree and 2-3 years of supervised practice. It begins with a bachelors degree which will get you a psychology related position. It is perfectly acceptable to do much of the learning on-line, although some of the learning will require actual classroom time. Robert A, you should consider seeing a psychologist to help you with that paranoia problem. For your information, psychologists do not prescribe medication at all. Psychiatrists do that.
