Colleges for a career in Criminal Justice?
I am entering college this upcoming year and want to study to become a police detective, what are some good colleges to look at so I can transfer after I get my required courses out of the way during my early college years? Do I have to go to a criminal justice college or can I major in something else at a state or private college? Any information will help.

- Look into John Jay college of Criminal Justice in NYC. It's the best for your career ambitions... Also, many state colleges have Criminal Justice as majors for both undergrad and grad...check those out---much more affordable. In the county where I work, a masters is required to be considered for a detective post for those that aren't grandfathered in. Good Luck!
- DeSales University near Allentown, Pennsylvania. My son went there and now has a great job as a Juvenile Probation Officer. The university is known for it's Criminal Justice program and it's theater/dance program. Good luck.
- you can even get your degree online from any top accredited online university here is a site which might help you: http://www.topcriminaljusticedegrees.com
