Where can I check the accreditation of an online university?

Particularly Colorado Technical University. And is it normal for the financial aid department to ask for the past 2 years taxes?

You can check accreditation at http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/search.asp You can learn more about accreditation at http://www.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html I personally don't recommend CTU. They are owned by the same corporation that owns American Intercontinental University and AIU is currently on probation with their accreditor for breaking some rules. I think you should check with your local community college to see what they offer online. You can also check with other community colleges in your state. Good luck
