what is the difference of the course accountancy and business administration?

  1. Accounting is more table, office work, and math. If you're not outgoing, likes to live in your own world, loves math, and are looking for a job without risk, go ahead a major in accounting! Business administration is more broad, basically you learn to manage a business including its workers, ideas, and other things as well. You would need leadership skill, communication skill, and many other things you will learn in college. I'm personally doing business admin because I want to keep my options opened. If you do accounting, you're stucked if you don't like it, however, business admin allows you to explore the different options. I'm debating between marketing and international business right now, and both of these are part of business administration. Usually a transfer center in college has resources for you to explore your personality and find a major/career that fits you completely. Maybe you should try that! Good luck with everything!

  3. I'm going to school for accounting right now. It is not that bad actually, and as for the math portion it is your most basic you will ever need such as adding, subtracting, multiplications etc. You have to learn the rules and all the other details. It is a lot of studying and I would think its definetly more intense than administration. Take your pick. It all depends on your strenghts. It is not all that boring and you are communicating with others not like what the person above wrote, you do deal with companies and individuals who would like for you to manage their money, so you are social. It also really depends if you want to work for yourself or a corporation. Hope it helped a bit. Good luck figuring it out.
  4. bus admin is a lot easier but also much more general. there are different focuses, such as marketing and int'l business. accountancy is a lot more number-based, but does offer a more secure job outlook
