Can you get into a doctoral program without a masters?

I am an undergraduate who is applying for doctoral programs in the social sciences. All the college websites state I can apply, however won't I have very little chance to get in because most of the other applicants with have a Masters and more life/research experiences? Just looking for a straight answer!

  1. Yes. A lot of PhD programs will accept undergraduates and you will just earn your Masters "in progress", meaning after 3 years you'll receive your MA and then continue studying to complete the PhD.
