Does anyone have information about programs for teachers to get masters and doctoral degrees in 1 - 4 yrs?
I've heard many people mention such a program but I am trying to locate one in Georgia that would allow me to get a master's and doctoral in less than five years. Any information is greatly appreciated.

- Well, you can do it with a regular program too, it would just require a lot of work on your part. You could get a Bachelor's in about 3 if you take a full load of classes and go every summer. Then, you can do the same with a Master's, since they are generally 36 credit hour program (Mine is 40, so some are more). I wouldn't advise it unless you are not going to be working, though. I work full-time and am finishing my Master's and it was very hard to get everything done. Good luck!
- Receiving a Masters in Education and / or a Doctoral Degree in Education within 1 - 4 years is actually quite standard. A Masters Program can typically be accomplished in a year, maybe more if you cannot attend full time residency. A Doctoral Program typically runs 3 - 5 years, but you could do it in four or less, again, depending on your circumstances. If you want to complete both degrees within four years, that would be a feat and would take a lot of focus and dedication on your part. Here are some schools you might consider for the degrees: University of Georgia Walden University (On-Line) Georgia State University The Bagwell College of Education at Kennesaw State University
