- In my state, after you get a BE you qualify to take the Engineer in Training (EIT) test. You can then work as an engineer in training for a minimum of 5 years. After 5 years you can qualify to take the Professional Engineer test. If you pass that, you can advertise yourself as an engineer. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to go straight through school to an ME. You just can't say your an engineer.
- If this were allowed to happen, what else is going to be restricted.? Right now, we are being restricted to death in the name of "national security", how much more of your rights do you want to give up? 75%?, 95%? what? Once you allow rights to erode, and I am talking about rights in all areas, you will sooner or later be living in a dictatorship, or under totalitarianism . Is this what you want for you and your heirs?
