1. 1) Accreditation (APA)- don't even look at a non-accredited program 2) Funding- if you don't have good funding, don't go. 3) Shared research interests with a faculty member- if you don't have shared interests with a prof you will have a much harder time getting a good dissertation topic 4) Past predoctoral internship placement results 5) Rank of the program/department 6) Name/rank of the institutioon 7) Length of the program
