Anyone in a Doctoral Program?
I'm preparing to enter a doctoral program next year. The hard parts about this process is the GMAT,my lack of mathmatical skill, and public speaking. Can anyone give me any tips?

- Hello Vanity, many universities offer GMAT prep classes, so check with the school you are interested in attending. If not, Kaplan and others provide GMAT tutoring classes. Depending on what kind of degree program you choose, I would expect that you will be performing research including working on your dissertation. Knowledge and understanding of statistics is essential. Although there is software such as SPSS that you may use to do the calculation, you would still need to interpret the data. If you lack the math/statistical skills, your university will likely recommend you to take "survey" or intro type classes. You might also ask the help of a graduate student/tutor skilled in statistics. Last in terms of public speaking I would suggest you join a local Toastmasters. Hope these tips help.
