Could someone offer some advice on my undergrad and future studies?

I'm starting my 2nd year at a 4 year university. Currently enrolled into a pre-business program. I've been wanting to change my major to medical biology or something closely related. I seem to have interest in medical biology, health, and nutrition. But I'm half done with the prereqs for the Business Administration program, so if I changed my major I would fall behind due to taking new prereqs courses for a biological science major. These new prereqs would probably add another year to my undergrad. What should I do? I do intend on doing graduate studies. Can a student with a BS in Business Administration get into a medical biology, health, or nutrition related graduate program? This stuff hurts my brain. :(

  1. how about studying for hospital administration, combining both fields.
  2. I am 99% positive you will need some sort of biology/anatomy courses (maybe even the undergrad degree) to get into a grad program related to health sciences. If you are talking about adding only one more year, then that is not bad. Have you possibly thought about a biology major with a bus. admin. minor? That might help you out if you go to work in a hospital - you could be a hospital administrator, and the business minor would help. Then, you business classes wouldn't be wasted. I'd investigate your college courses - find out what sort of health science majors they have and enroll - so it adds on another year, but in the end it could be well worth it.
  3. You might be accepted conditionally to a grad program in biological sciences. You would be required to take quite a few undergrad courses in biological sciences, chemistry and perhaps physics to make up for the deficiencies and prepare you for graduate courses in biology. I had a degree in biology from a liberal arts school and I had to take several undergrad courses that were not offered in the liberal arts curriculum in order to catch up with other grad students. If you have a specific school in mind, I suggest you get in touch with them and find out their policies.
  4. Study what you are interested in even if it takes a bit longer otherwise you will always be unhappy in what you end up doing
