- You can't find LPN or RN program online because I don't believe they exist, you will have to go in-class to get any of these two degrees because there are clinicals you have to do during these two (LPN or RN) programs and those can not be done without going to hospitals and stuff through the college or wherever the program is offered. But, once you get your RN associates degree there are tons of RN to MSN or RN to BSN programs offered online and you can pretty much pick and choose from them depending on your choice. I hope this helps.
- The first answer is correct. The state board of nursing makes requirements for nursing programs to be accredited by a professional nursing organization, usually the NLNAC or the CCNE, and there are some pretty strict requirements and educational standards for nursing programs, which include seat time in classroom, hands-on time in labs including skill performance evaluations by the faculty, and on-site clinical experiences in nursing homes clinics and hospitals. Some courses might be available online, such as the general education courses that are also required as part of a nursing degree (English, Psychology, History, etc.). A handful of nursing theory courses might even be offered online. But there will not be a 100% online initial licensure RN program. Just the BSN completion programs and the graduate programs.
