How many years does it take to get a doctoral degree?

I'm currently a freshman in high school and now thinking about what i want to do for the rest of my life. I chose to be an astronomer. It requires a doctoral degree, and i was wondering how many years of college it will take. I'm in all honors courses with above average grades.

1. It could depend - but is usually 4 of College (which could be finished sooner with heavy course loads and summer and interim break courses) then 3-4 of Grad School. Go for it!!
