What are the kind of degrees that you can earn in college?
I want to know if a doctoral degree is good enough but a I don't know if I should go for another degree or be satisfied with this one.

- A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) is the highest possible degree.
- It goes in this order: Associate, Bachelor, Master, Doctorate
- A doctoral degree is in truth a largely worthless degree unless you are absolutely sure you want to teach at a university (The old joke is that PhD stands for "piled higher and deeper"). So, to answer your question: If you want to be a professor, yes you should be "satisfied" with a doctorate. Don't go for one if that's not the career path you want though. There is no degree that is "higher" than a PhD. Many people earn master's in the process of getting one, though you don't need a master's to go for a PhD, just a bachelor's. Other graduate degrees are MBAs, MDs, JDs, etc.
