- There is no EU work permit. There is no EU Green Card for employment for full residency. You cannot become a EU citizen but, after working in a particular country for a long period of time, you might be able to claim permanent residency or become a citizen of that particular country. To work in the EU you must first find a job; then the employer must demonstrate that no EU person is available to fill that position; then the employer will arrange a work permit for the prospective employee for that particular country. To be in a position to find work in the EU you will need some work experience in a particular field and a high level of expertise. Just having a college degree means nothing. Oh, and fluency in the language of the country you'd like to work in helps a lot too.
- There isn't a high demand for entry level people from outside the EU regardless of degree. Right now, in the area of Italy where I live, it would be useful to have experience in healthcare, or with various foreign regulatory agencies. Each country has it's own requirements for visa, but the rules are pretty similar. You don't need to become a citizen to get a work visa here. Getting a visa is difficult though. For information, check sites like: http://www.esteri.it/visti/home_eng.asp. http://www.netherlands-embassy.org/artic... http://ukinusa.fco.gov.uk/en http://www.ambafrance-us.org/spip.php?ru... You can become a citizen here, but it's a long, and usually complex process. There are various different options. Rules vary by country - for example, this site describes options for Italy http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/244623/how_to_get_citizenship_in_italy_after.html?cat=37. You can research the regulations for particular countries at the various embassy websites.
