How long did it take you to finally complete school/training for a good/stable career? Around what age were you finally set? This question is more geared for people that have ran in circles and honestly trying to find the right thing but ultimately got "no where" because you keep changing your mind and going in different paths. I'm 23, and I feel like I'm too old to be like that. well you guys are doing great, me? I've been through so much running around in circles i just decided on somethin quick and fairly OK salary. Radiologic Technologist If that pay ever becomes a prob I'll just build on that.

- I was 31 when I started Psych. School. The PhD took about 6-1/2 years from the completion of my BA. A good rule of thumb is that you will see your first patient as a Licensed Psychologist about 10 years after starting Psych. School.
- I went straight into college after high school and now I'm on the MBA track. I'm happy but honestly wish I'd taken a gap year between h.s. and university to volunteer. I think I would've performed better in university if I hadn't been quite so young, you know? I guess it's kind of the opposite of your question - I wish I had slowed down a little :) I'm always educating myself though - reading tons of books and learning from others. Schooling & training ended so now I can actually learn something :) My friend Devon really has the talent to be a chef, but he keeps taking these horrific high-paid factory jobs. Sure, it's great to make $40-50K at 21, but if he puts off his chef dream too much longer he'll never make it, you know? I wish he would take the pay cut for a few years and hone his cooking skills so he can really live his dream later!
