  1. The main thing you need is a specific skill/set of skills that businesses in other countries want. You haven't given enough details for me to give an opinion whether you have that or not, but there are lots of these. To get an idea of what these are, think about the types of skills that multinational companies need, whether at a more general level (e.g. accounting, finance, legal, or management skills), or as a specialist within an industry (e.g. a chemist within a petrochemical company, or a geologist for a mining company). You also need to be good at what you do, as when you start getting into these types of roles, you will have to compete not only against locals in the country where the position is offered, but also other individuals with an international career focus - it's a much bigger pond, and the companies would accordingly expect more from you. The next thing you need is to be flexible and open-minded when doing business is other countries, as they will invariably have different customs and practices, and you will have to adapt to these. I don't think appearance would really come into it, apart from looking professional - in a way, this comes back to my first point though, as you should be able to consistently demonstrate that you excel in what you do.
