Medical Billing career?

Hi, We see a lot of advertisements on medical billing career.. Iam a stay at home mom & iam looking for some career which makes me earn from home. does any1 know about this medical billing career or any1 who has been there from my situaion? what is the prospect in this career & which is the best training institute to get the degree.. or can any1 suggest me any other bright work at home jobs Thanks

1. try your local community college they may have a degree you can earn there. be careful of the career colleges some of them arent accrediated and if theyre not then it could be hard to get a job afterwards. im going to my com. college right now majoring in health information technology: medical coding and billing. i think a CC would be the best way to go.
2. It was my understanding that many hospitals actually sent their billing departments to India. At least that is what one gal (that had just been laid of from a local hospital) told me. She had been with the hospital for 18 years. But anything is worth a shot, except I wouldn't lay out any hard cold cash for training unless a job was in sight.
