  1. I think your question requires some clarification. Training itself is generally considered a good thing, though it should be distinguished from education. Training involves the acquisition (or the attempt at acquisition) of a skill, while education implies the acquisition of information. Training for a career can be good as long as you don't wait too long to begin using the new skill. Too often, skills themselves become outdated, as anyone who took computer programming 10, 20, or 30 years ago will tell you. If you use your training to land a job, though, often your on-the-job learning will supplement (and eventually replace) what you already have learned. Hope this helps!
