Hey all heres my situation. I got laid off in the fall and am currently on ei, living in ontario, canada. Recently I got qualified for the governments "second career" retraining program. It provides up to 28000 dollars in funding for retraining in an industry thats in demand. All you have to do to recieve the grant is to provide evidence that your new career path is in demand. So at first I wanted to get my 3 year degree in Animation at the local college where I am, but im like everyone else and am in a squeeze, so I need some short term training instead. Me and my g/f cant both go to college together, so im letting her go and I would like to use this funding instead to get training in something thats high paying and I can get into quick. So heres my question............What is the best possible training for a high paying job that I could get in the short term (over the summer or less than a year)? I have 28000 in my pocket and I would like to take advantage of it as best as possible. I was looking into getting a crane operator license or something because I like to drive machinery like that, heavy equipment also. But I want something that REALLY utilizes the whole amount of money I have been given, instead of a few grand. Whats a really expensive license that I could get? Or any other kind of training? Any help would be really appreciated, thx
