College graduates with Masters degrees: how much debt are you in?

I want to go to Emerson college to get a Masters in Publishing and Writing, but I don't want to get into a bunch of debt for nothing!

1. Well, at my university I get instate tuition so it isn't as costly as others. I also get an internship and stipend. Each semester is about 7k, i take out the full amount of loans since my stipend isn't huge, so I'll come out with about 30k of debt from grad school
2. My mother left a state school with a Masters and a total of about 40 grand in debt. It took her five years to pay it off, but she was making enough that she could've done in a much shorter time frame. I'll graduate next year with a Masters and about 20,000 in debt. I'm a teacher, though, so it'll take me a lot longer to pay it off.
