I want to travel and be outdoors for my career. Any ideas?
I'm 19 years old, and I don't have much outdoors experience yet. But it's my dream to have a career that lets me get outdoors and travel/explore as often as possible. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't want to vacation in Asia. I want to be dropped off there, and wander through the rough, purely for the adventurous feel of it. Anyone have any ideas of what careers let me really get out and travel and explore? On a side note, does anyone know of any survival training programs etc? I live in southern California. Thank you for your time

- you could try and get a show like survivor man, or go to the travelchannel website and see if they have anything about it http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080830234202AAdmYjt
- Journalism. Or maybe a biologist.
- BLACK PRIDE MAYN
- cleaning shyt outa horse barns, how about that for an outdoors career actually for real, get a job on a cruiseship
- Carnival worker, hands down!
- You could get a job traveliing with an airline (pilot, cabin crew) or you could vistit each country and do journalism or helping people less fortunate than you.
- A great place to start would be the Dept. of Forestry. You would gain experience to use in many other outdoor careers.
- You are only 19 so becareful of the wicked world outside where everyone wants to gobble up the young and the gullable. Asia is a great place, very interesting for travel. You can choose to be a travel guide, a journalist, a tour operator on tour coaches and so you get to see place for free since you travel with the groups on the bus, its very interesting.Join a travel ageny for this training. Or study a course in travel guide or the likes of it. Just do some research on the internet and get more nformation. Wish you all the best always. Take care of yourself and beware of strangers. Its a wicked world.
