ANYBODY FEEL LIKE EDITING??? PLEASEEEe?

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. Martin Luther King Jr was born on June 15th, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps of becoming a Baptist Preacher with histories of civil rights activity. Whilst at school, he was an outstanding student and an academic theologian. In junior year, because of his high scores on his college entrance examinations, he skipped both the 9th and 12th grade. He then enrolled to Crozer Theological Seminary, while studying at University of Pennsylvania and being president of the senior class. After studying at the university, he received his bachelor of divinity degree. He also received the J. Lewis Crozer fellowship for graduate study at a university of his choice. He began Doctoral studies in Systematic Theology and was awarded honorary degrees from different colleges and university in several foreign countries. As a boy he experienced the racial discrimination of the time. At some point he was ordered to give up his seat to white passengers during a long bus ride. When he didn’t move right away, the driver would start yelling and calling him ‘black son of a bitch’. While growing older he realised how the racial discrimination had become worse throughout the years. In 1955, an African-American woman was arrested for refusing to give her bus seat to a white passenger. That’s when black activists were formed and chose King as their leader. The Montgomery buses desegregated after the U.S. Supreme Court declared segregation laws unconstitutional. On 28th August, 1963, King joined with other civil right leaders to present his famous ‘I have a dream’ speech. More than 250,000 people gathered to listen to demands on equal justice for all citizens. The speech was important, it wasn’t all lies, it was the truth thatgot people listening. The audience were stunned by this speech. Not only did black people go to the ‘march on Washington, white people who respected the blacks also went. His speech was mainly indicating that the blacks are the same as the whites, everybody is equal, if they don’t become brothers and sisters, who knows how much worser they could get. He has shown that struggle can be waged without violence. He sent messages to all races that blacks are people aswell not animals to play around with. His words had affected millions of people. He is the one who saved the world from tearing into pieces. His speech won the nobel peace prize in 1964 and was the youngest person to have received this award. Although he was arrested 30 times for his participation in civil right activities, he still never gave up his faith. Unfortunetely on 4th April, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was shot dead while standing on the balcony of a motel. James Earl Ray pleaded guilty to the murder and was sentenced to 99 years in prison. The day before his death, he had given a speech and noted;’im happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man.’ Even though King suffered in his life, he died knowing he changed the world, he died knowing he had a family, a wife and four children, he died knowing his children would be brought up in a safer country. What more could he wish for?

  1. Who is Martin Luther King?
  2. OK Here is your essay in professional English. Martin Luther King Jr. was born on June 15th, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. He wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps by becoming a Baptist preacher. His father also had a history of civil rights activity. While still at school, he was an outstanding student and studied to be an academic theologian. In his junior year, because of his high scores on his college entrance examinations, he was permitted to skip both the 9th and 12th grade. He then enrolled at Crozer Theological Seminary, while studying at University of Pennsylvania and being president of the senior class. After studying at the university, he received his bachelor of divinity degree. He also received the J. Lewis Crozer fellowship for graduate study at a university of his choice. He then began Doctoral studies in Systematic Theology and was awarded honorary degrees from various colleges and university in several foreign countries. As a boy, he experienced the racial discrimination meted out by bigots of his time. At one point, he was ordered to give up his seat to a white passenger during a long bus ride. When he didn’t move right away, the driver started yelling and calling him ‘black son of a *****’. Growing older, he judged that racial discrimination had been made worse throughout recent years. In 1955, an African-American woman was arrested for refusing to give her bus seat to a white passenger. That’s when black activists formed protest groups, and many chose King to be their leader. The Montgomery, Alabama bus system's leaders were ordered to desegregate their buses after the U.S. Supreme Court declared segregation laws to be unconstitutional. On 28th August, 1963, King joined with other civil right leaders to present his famous ‘I have a dream’ speech. (Specify exact city or location, etc.) More than 250,000 people gathered that day to listen to his and other civil rights' leaders' demands for equal justice for all citizens. The speech has been judged to be historically important. It was the truth in his analysis of racial relations in the United States that caused people to listen attentively to him. The audience present were stunned by his speech. Not only did black people go to the ‘march on Washington as a result of his words, but white people who respected the blacks also went with them in large numbers. His speech mainly indicated his belief that the blacks are the same as the whites, that everybody is supposed therefore to be equal under the nations 'laws'. He also reminded his hearers that if they don’t become brothers and sisters, in a legal sense, non one could knows how much worse racial relations could be made to be. He showed that a demand for rights can be waged as a struggle can be waged without violence. He sent messages to all races that blacks are people as much as members of any other race. His words had affected millions of people. He is the one of those who perhaps who saved the world's citizens and leaders from tearing their constitutions into pieces. His speech was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964; he was the youngest person then ever to have received this award. Although he was arrested 30 times for his participation in civil right activities, he still never gave up his faith that his nonviolent way could achieve improved conditions for both blacks and whites. Unfortunately on 4th April, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed while standing on the balcony of a motel. James Earl Ray, the perpetrator of this assassination, plead guilty to the murder and was sentenced to 99 years in prison. The day before his death, Dr. King had given a speech and noted in his address, I'm happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man." Even though Martin Luther King suffered much during his life, he died knowing that he changed the world; he died knowing he had a happy family, a loving wife and four children dear to him. And he died knowing his children would be brought up in a safer country. Remember: an action has to be done by someone or something capable of performing it. Prizes are awarded by someone, earned by someone, handed to someone for no good reason. Violence is not an actor; neither is any other made-up noun. "Racial discrimination" doesn't "get worse. "It is a practice by bigots." "Bigots had been practicing even more discrimination against victims in the year 19-- than they had before". Speeches don't indicate. "In his speech, Dr. King indicated...", etc., etc. Not bad. 1. Separate attested facts from mythical beliefs. 2. Use a value standard clearly defined or confine value terms to better and worse, I like, I dislike; without the standard, you haven't earned the right to anything except an attitude, positive or negative. And separate proofs from beliefs. "What more could he wish for" is your evaluation. "Not animals to play around with" is again, without science, an opinion, expressed in vernacular phrases. If you say someone was shot and go on to say he was murdered, you don't need the word dead in your first sentence. Good luck.
