Is Obama now showing that the government can take over a public-ally held?
held company if they take a government loan? Then will that apply to the small business administration, student loans can the government then dictate to the student what courses of study and what major? You people that votes for Obama and are in college with student loans had better wise up because "BIG BROTHER" is knocking. Obama has made more socialistic decisions in his first 100 days that has ever been made in the history of the world other than by physical overthrow of a government. For the people who are not experienced enough to know government is never the answer only the problem. They should be in the business of protecting our country and that is it.

- Yep. Just as some predicted. Yet wasn't Bush supposed to be "Big Brother?"
- Its time to awake the sleeping giant.
- and this is just the beginning..Its going to get worse
- Yeah, god forbid we make rules to give everyone a more equal chance in life, and to keep greedy f's from stealing the taxpayers blind. That would be sooo tragic. Too bad we can't have those me first, screw everyone else repubs back in office!
- Oh, honey, soon you won't have to accept government money to be eligible for a government-mandated "restructuring" or government-mandated salary caps.
- I see the idiotic "fear mongers" are out in full force.
- Um, that's ALWAYS happened. Anyone who loans you money can write any conditions they see fit into the contract, and it's up to you to decide whether it's worthwhile. For example, a drug arrest will automatically lose a college student their federal financial aid. Speaking of college, you should consider applying for a few of those loans. Chrysler isn't publicly (or "public-ally") held, it's publicly traded. If it were publicly held, then it would already be socialism. Also the most socialist (or "socialistic") noises to come out of our current government have come from the Republican side, who've stated repeatedly that they want to nationalize the banks. Without a private banking system, the government essentially owns everything. If it's really Big Brother and Socialism that have you spooked, you should probably pull the plank out of your own eye, before you reach for the splinter in mine.
- maybe you could try to rethink.just imagine : you buy a considerable percentage of stocks of a company. would you not expect to have a say in this company too??? that companies need that sort of government intrusion, was certainly not caused by the obama government, but by the bush government. obama is trying to keep off another black friday and, actually, all american citizens should help. he cannot save the country without assistance. higher education has become quite international and whether universities are ublice or privately owned their students will have to be able to compete with students from other countries or go under. as for big brother knocking - who asked american citizens to report on neighbours, on anything that seemed suspicious? that was not obama. you should better not speak about the history of the world, since you have no idea of it, that's for sure. mind you, i am neither a republican nor a democrat, since i ameuropean. but i am fairly objective.
- this is a good thing. GM is a mess.
