Graphic design portfolio for masters?
Hi, I am a business administration student & want to do my graphic design masters. Where do I start from ? How do I build my portfolio? I do not have any good community college near by to earn credits. Can I know of any good online course which will help me build my portfolio?

- You are going to need to take graphic design courses to build your portfolio. Each class is usually geared to teach you a different technique that allows you to create a portfolio piece. I went to the Art Institute and every class I took I came out of with at least one portfolio piece Then at the end of your term you take all portfolio building classes. http://www.graphicdesigns4you.com
- Honestly, your best solution is to talk with the school you are going to be applying for your Masters in Graphic Design. Ask them if there is some examples to look at. My school has a whole website dedicated to design students at ASU. You can look at peoples portfolios and get a feel for what their intentions were. Also, many times schools will have students work displayed. You will probably need to take a few classes to produce enough work for a portfolio. Or if you are creative enough, try to give yourself some project to make to display. But best place to start is the school and see what they are looking for. Here is my schools website for some ideas. They have an amazing design school. They will most likely have some graphic design portfolio examples on there. Also if you google 'graphic design portfolio' lots of images come up. www.asudesigncommunity.com Best wishes!
