Is this going to help me eventually?

Next year I will be attending a college that requires students who major in a liberal art to minor in business administration (with a focus on a business minor of your choice). I plan to major in applied psychology...I know I will be taking business management courses and the like as part of my minor. I think I want to go into school psychology, or POSSIBLY industrial psych., but I'm leaning toward school at the moment. Am I going to benefit from this business minor even if I go into the school psych. field or any psych field?

  1. NO, u could do bba or mba
  2. Well, with psychology, you may be in the position to open your own practice. In this case a business minor will be very helpful, it is generally helpful regardless of what you want to do it's just good knowledge to have.
  3. I think that having a business minor can be very helpful on many levels. Understanding the concepts behind business practices will make you better able to adapt your training to different job opportunities-including running your own business one day should you choose to do so. In this economy especially, you may need to reinvent yourself at certain points: this is called marketability, and is something many of us have had to do on our own. How nice it would have been to have had some training to begin with!
