What are the benefits of playing baseball at a JUCO(Junior College)?
I am currently a freshman in a Division 1 school. I am Red-shirting this year for academic reasons but the coaches really wanted me to come to the school because of my talent. I was thinking about transferring to a junior college to play. After my 2 years at junior college do I still have to attend a division 1 college for the 4 years or do my credits transfer? I am not sure of the circumstances can someone help.

- i have no idea
- I'm not all that sure about the baseball stuff. As far as credits transfering, your best bet would be to get your associates degree from the junior college, so than its accepted at any 4 year college. And once you transfer you will only have about 2 years left at the university level.
- sounds like you won't make the 4 years no matter what...is baseball your only reason for going to college? Are you good enough to make it to the Majors? I mean really? If not, then the rest doesn't really matter -- just get an education.
- shouldn't have to do another four years. juco college? why not stay with your team and continue to practice.. atleast you'd be practicing with better talent as far as better coaches. just man up and get your grades up.. if you stick it out and get your grades up it's only going to improvise on your hunger for wanting to play! taking the easy way out never gets you anywhere...
- It depends on what you want. A career in baseball someday(then transfer and play ASAP) or a career in something else. Remember, it's a big world out there and now you are playing with people of your own talent or better. Scouts will find you no matter where you are, if you are good enough, but if you don't play, it's hard to prove it. Good luck!
