I want to transfer and on a scholarship?

Right now I'm in my 2nd year at a community college and I play for the schools tennis team. The team is really good were 14-4 and I've been playing #2 or #3 singles the whole year. I've also been playing #2 doubles and even a little bit of #1 doubles. I really want to transfer to a 4 year school next year. The school I go to is in southern california and I'm always told Southern California has really good tennis. I'm willing to go anywhere. The only scholarship I'm thinking about is a 4/5 scholarship to a school in kansas. Does anybody know of any NAIA or Division 2 schools that might be able to give me a full ride. I'm willing to go anywhere. I just want free school. I also have a 3.68 GPA which should be able to get me some academic scholarships if I can't get a full ride.

  1. It could really be tough to find a full ride as a junior. There are just not that many full tennis scholarships available. You should do a lot of cold calling of coaches at NAIA schools and maybe you can get some tennis money and combine that with an academic scholarship to make up the difference. If a coach likes you and likes your game they will try and swing things using monies outside of just what is available , the fact that you are a good student is huge , again I think that some form of an academic scholarship would be needed. Start making calls to coaches and have your coach call also if you think that a four year school is interested. One of the things that really is unfair as far as I am concerned is that so many of the full rides that are their go to foreign players who will help the teams win matches rather then the American Kids. I teach in NY and know Concordia College well and I do not think they have one American on scholarship , they are a very good team , but it is not fair.
