What courses, certificates and experience needed to become a business consultant?

i am a recent graduate with a Business Administration bachelors, aiming to work in a business consultancy company, what can i do to have an edge over other candidates applying to the position.. Also business consultants are usually defined into many categories (Finance, Marketing, Management), what is most needed and what can i do to become become one of the best in the field?

1. I worked as a consultant at a CPA firm. You would need 150 credit hours and an accounting degree to do that in my state. I suggest you go back to graduate school. By the time you get out, you'll have no problem finding a job.
