Is training on the career mode the only way to build stats on UFC Undisputed for a created player?

im playing the new UFC game and im in career mode as a result my created superstars stats are rubbish i was wondering whether there was any other way of building stats other than training on the story mode and sparing

1. yes well if u create a guy from the create a mode u will be given alot of points but going throu career will give ur guy alot more points i just finished career my guy is a beast im on a 15 fight win streak at welterweight my ranked record is 27-7 those 7 are only cause i didnt know how to play my guys submissions skills are rediculous if u stick with career mode u will learn to play alot better and youll dominate most ppl as almost all people try an ground and pound an thats all they can do lol
