What does it take to be a Division 1 football player?

I really want to play division 1 football, particularly at a BCS school. I'm 6 ft.3 in. and 240 lbs. I'm a defensive end and offensive tackle, but I'm better at end. I will be a junior in HS next year, and it will be my 2nd year of football in my life. Academic wise, I will be in 2 honors classes next year, one of them college level, obviously, I'm on the football team, I have a 3.2 GPA, which will increase next year, and I'm a member of the school orchestra. I hope to play in the NFL someday when I graduate college. Would colleges like that? Any advice? Also, I'm having trouble remembering the plays on offense. I will add more details if i can think of any. Oh, and I attend a Catholic high school.

  1. Not what you have.
  2. Well 2 years experience isnt going to help your chances and I wouldnt be betting on acedemics and orchestra to help you get onto a BCS caliber football team. I mean its possible, it ultimately comes down to wether or not your good enough, its about your ability. If you are an incredible athlete and very talented, you have a chance, work hard.
