The College Board took a step in announcing its full support of legislation that could give citizenship to thousands of illegal aliens. Although it has been introduced into Congress multiple times since its inception approximately eight years ago, the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act of 2009 has received more support than other versions have in the past. The DREAM Act is a reform that, if passed, creates a bypass of immigration laws that would allow undocumented inhabitants of the United States to gain permanent citizenship if they meet certain criteria. In a report written for the College Board by Roberto Gonzales, a professor of social work at the University of Washington School of Social Work, the figure of undocumented students graduating high school per year is more than 60,000. “The DREAM Act would provide 360,000 undocumented high school graduates with a legal means to work and attend college. [The act] could provide incentives for another 715,000 youngsters between the ages of 5 and 17 to finish high school and pursue postsecondary education,” according to the report. In order to receive the bill’s benefits, undocumented students must have been in the country for five years (from the date the bill is enacted), be 15 years old or younger at the time they entered the country and be of “good moral character,” according to the bill, which was introduced in the House and Senate simultaneously. http://www.newsrecord.org/sections/news/dream-act-could-bring-additional-students-1.1748019 Using a social security number that is not yours is a felony. We do not allow anyone to profit or benefit from crime, which is why drug dealers have their money confiscated, as well as cars, homes, and anything else bought with that money. As such, illegals don't even have the right to keep salaries, much less anything bought with them or get a refund or social security back. That's insane! That is tainted money -- ill-gotten gains -- earned during the commission of a crime (a felony, no less). And no, 6.2% for SS and 6.2% for medicare doesn't come close to paying for the services they use. chuckles... No human is illegal, but their status in the United States may be that the entered illegally. It does not matter from what country of origin, it matters that they did not enter through a legally defined process. As such the only rights that should be accorded to persons of this status is deportation as swiftly as possible. if you can't feed em, don't breed em!!!!!!!!!!
