I don't understand how college degrees work help please?

Ok so my parents never went to college, so I've seen how easily replaceable they are at their jobs, and I don't want to be like that. I'm a senior in high school, and I don't understand all these degrees, like Bachelor's or Master's or Doctrines, please help me understand all of these please.

  1. An associates degree is usually a two year program that will qualify you for many jobs, but it isn't as desirable as a bachelor's. A bachelor's degree is usually a 4 year program. Most people just get bachelor's degrees and do very well in their careers. Master's and Doctorates are what you get after completing a bachelor's degree. They take between 2-5 years to complete and are necessary to teach at the college level and can increase your earning potential. Talk to your school counselor for more detailed information. They can help you apply for scholarships and colleges as well.
