If I have a BFA (Bachelor Fine Arts) can I get accepted to a Masters or Doctoral Psychology Program?

Or do I have to do the BA all over again? Looking into a new degree and possibly new career as a licensed clinical psychologist.

  1. (In America) I think you have to do the coursework for psychology. You have completed your gen ed but you will need to complete 400 level coursework in psychology to get a BA in psychology in order to do post graduate work.
  2. i'm in the US. some schools will accept you provisionally, now. No, i have no idea which ones. other psych departs - if you speak to the head of the department, or head of graduate studies in the psych department, will give you a list of classes to take, for them to then consider admitting you to the master's program. it is unlikely you can be admitted directly into the doctoral program (even if you make up a bunch of classes) but no, you really don't have to get another BA.
