- None of this is recognized as legitimate studies for a degree in Medicine. The website you referenced is bogus and the World Association of Universities & Colleges USA does not exist in the United States. An online program was set up for funds to be sent to an address in Florida for which you receive nothing but another bill. It was started in India and appears to be a type of "snake oil" sales tactic to take money from unsuspecting people. A Medical Doctorate (MD) degree is never awarded through online studies in the United States. It can only be granted through studies at a government approved university medical school. The student must attend that university IN PERSON and then pass a state medical board examination before being granted a license to practice medicine. In the USA, a Masters Degree is not sufficient to become a doctor.
- great answer Laredo ! I would reinforce that none of the training you mentioned is recognized as legitimate by any reputable, sanctioned medical school or university anywhere in North America.
- "Bachlor of ALternative Medicines degree from any college of Chattisgarh." wow! I think you need to break the news to your wife that she has wasted her life. Good luck
- You can get away with this in India where the education system isn't so good and few people can afford doctors, but in other countries with recognised standards and greater affluence, these 'qualifications' aren't worth the paper they're written on.
- A bachelor of alternative medicine sounds like a generic background degree if you wanted to study one of the forms of medicine covered in greater detail. It may help her pursue further studies in Ayurvedic medicine but is unlikely to help her study Western medicine. If anything it would go against her studying western medicine as the schools are quite forthright in their selection process and don't like to admit students who are any thing other that straight down the line western medics in thinking. A degree in alternative medicine will show that she has interests elsewhere. PS. At least 200 million people in India can afford western style medical doctors if they can't have one provided for them in the NHS system. India also has a reputation of producing world class western medical doctors through its education system. However India doesn't limit itself only to western medicine and is quite happy to embrace other medical systems.
