Is there a good purpose to have multiple college degrees?

When I was talking in the office of a marine recruiter he was telling me he had 4 bachelor's degrees and an associates degree. I've never met anyone with that much schooling under their belt but is there really a point to having that many? That inspired me actually to get multiple college degrees, but since I'm not joining the marines now I still want a bachelor's in business, an associates in music, and an associates in political science. Is it worth having and is it worth spending on?

  1. i think it's worth it in the long run. it opens so many more doors for you. especially if you have a lot of interests, you can get degrees that complement each other and make you a stronger candidate for a job. and plus, you get to study things you find interesting. i don't think it can hurt you at all!
