How long does it take to earn a Doctoral Degree?

I am researching the genera lenght of time it should take the average person starting out fresh from highschool, to earn a doctoral degree in Nursing?

1. "The student with a Masters in Nursing can complete the Doctoral Program in three to four years of full-time study or four to five years of part-time study. Students entering with a BSN will take four years of full-time and five to six years of part-time study. All work applied toward the PhD must be completed within eight years of initial enrollment in the program." fresh out of HS. 4-5 yrs of BSN plus 3-4 yrs of PhD = total 7-9 years
