Could you help me find the perfect career for me?

I'm interested in physiology (the human body but not surgical procedures)and am involved with sports. With the amount of education needed for Kinesiology being not enough of a challenge and for a Sports Doctor too much of a challenge (I think), IS THERE A CAREER THAT FITS SOMETHING IN BETWEEN? Perhaps needing 5-6 years of postsecondary education? I am a low to mid 90's student in high school, do I have what it takes to be a Sports Doctor?

  1. yes there is something inbetween. you can either be an athletic trainer (deals with sports team injuries), or an exercise physiologist. for your major, you would then major in athletic training/kinesiology with an option in athletic training (like offered at chico state), or major in exercise physiology. both majors are offered at several schools. here is some more information on these two careers/majors: athletic training: http://www.princetonreview.com/Majors.aspx?cip=510913&page=1 http://www.nata.org/education/become_at.htm exercise physiology: http://www.careerplanner.com/DOT-Job-Descriptions/EXERCISE-PHYSIOLOGIST.cfm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exercise_physiology http://www.ehow.com/how_4487749_become-exercise-physiologist.html ...good luck!
