Why did my California State university give me a honorary bachelor's degree in business administration?
I know I've been in my university for 10 years trying to get one degree. I know I changed my major about 10 times. I know in all of my tests, I usually got at best 1 out of 10 questions right & each instructors gave me a C instead of F for the course. I know I was the worst student in each class. I know my final major GPA was 2.0 out of 4.0. I know I know virtually nothing about my major. I know if you asked me anything about my study, I probably couldn't answer you. I know I don't deserve this degree. I know I was and still am a slacker. So why did I receive this degree? So why did my school give me this degree? Is it since school realized that I was just taking up valuable space without making any improvements and only way that I'll leave is for them to give me a degree? No! When I said "honorary degree", I didn't mean it literally. It just feels like it's a honorary degree cause I don't deserve to get it. But It's just regular bachelor's degree.

- The school doesn't care how long it takes you to get a degree as long as you're paying for the classes. But you definitely shouldn't have been passing if you were doing that poorly in your classes. An honorary degree is pretty worthless - you can't count it as a real degree when applying for jobs.
- maybe your school doesnt wanna pay so much since you went for 10 years but if you want to go of COURSE you need to study as fast as possible but if you dont want to go then show the school more improvemant maybe the will give you something better
- From what I know and understand, one has to get his/her undergrad degree in 8 years. So, I am surprised to know that you went to the school for 10 years. Final major GPA of 2.0 is still a valid GPA to graduate with bachelor's degree. So, I'm surprised to know that you got an honorary degree, not the real bachelor's degree. With that final GPA of 2.0, you should get your real one. Also, you may not be the worst from your class. Officially, if you get C- in all your courses, you can still graduate with a degree, and C- in number can be converted to 1.70. Instructors don't just give you C instead of F for your poor performances, there must be a valid reason why they have done that to you. I would understand if one professor did this, but if everyone did this, than either you must be a famous celebrity or a child of CSU related faculties or has some physical challenges that implanted them a positive impression for your attempts. From my point of view, if your official GPA is 2.0, you shouldn't get honorary degree, but you should get the real one.
