what college degrees would help a Henna artist?
I'm wondering what college degrees (master, bachelors, etc., fine arts...) would help a blooming Henna Tattoo Artist. What would would be good to show to possible clients/ people who want to book for you for events?

- Bachelors in visual arts but mostly I'm sure it will be your own artistic ability. Even if you have a degree, you still have to know how to do it. It is basically the same as a tatoo artist. Although, I don't think most of them have degrees in anything.
- You do not need a college degree; they will only try and persuade you to do something other than Henna art. You could get a general arts degree and use it to expand your horizons, studying art history, cultural anthropology, literature, and psychology. The best thing to show clients is a portfolio of excellent photographs of tattoos you've done, and some images you've collected of patterns an designs for them to choose from. Apprenticing under the world's best artist is also another way to learn and to get connections.
- Any art, art history, or business degree would help any artist that wants to make a living at their art. But nothing will make you a better henna artist other than lots of practice. You could never go to college and be a great artist. Or you could be like Catherine Cartwright-Jones and get a PhD in the art and history of henna.
