What are some Good college degrees if seeking a government position?

I am wanting to get a goverment job onbase and was wondering what college degress are best for that? I'm about to get my 2 year pre-business degree and going on to a university! Do i need to change My degree?

1. political science or history.....business too
2. Criminal Justice, Law, political science, forensic psychology, etc. The list goes on, it depends what field in the government sector you are interested in.
3. it really depends on what field you are trying to work in. business/accounting is a pretty safe bet if you are trying to get into criminal investigation b/c most of the evidence you are working with is cold and involves finance (unless you work for dea, or something specific). i have a criminal justice/criminology degree which sounds great, but really isn't helpful in dealing with white collar crimes and such. my parents work for the feds. my dad majored in accounting and my mom majored in communications.
