Does Mainland China offer Doctoral Degrees in Line cutting?

And are there different emphases to choose from such as pushing, stealth and quick dashes?

  1. no, and those who have the brain to get a doctorate degree wont do line cutting, and people like line cutting can be found in philippines, indonesia, thailand, india, mexico, and many countries in africa
  2. China is a fast paced society where opportunities are seized aggressively. This is true in multi-billion dollar business transactions and when ordering food at McDonald's. All kidding aside, you must be new to China. It takes a while to become accustomed to China's etiquette, or lack thereof, when it comes to forming lines for service. A good sense of humor and fast reflexes will help you survive. Standing in a Chinese line is like rebounding in basketball. You need to get position on your opponent to block him out, keep your elbows up at all times, and push back when he pushes forward against you. Watch how Yao Ming rebounds and then apply the same principles to standing in line.
  3. Have to agree with BSherman on this one. Another tactic is to step in front of the person who just cut in front of you. Or if it really gets to you, you can say, "Pai dui, keyi?" That is, " Can you wait in line?'
  4. Mainland China offers doctoral degrees not only in line cutting but also a number of related fields. Any culture that was left among the mainland Chinese was all destroyed during the cultural revolution. Mainland China's moral and ethical systems are in ruins. They have no regard for the sensitivities of others and try to force their way even when they are in another country or place. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/3552/4132/254424 http://factsanddetails.com/china.php?itemid=113&catid=4&subcatid=19 Queue jumping, spitting, urinating in public, talking in loud voice and engaging in unlawful activities are some of the hallmarks of mainland China. Mainland China is known for its crappy products, sex trade in the name of Chinese massage parlor, organ harvesting, illegal land grabbing, Tiananmen massacre, strange legal system, and Han Chauvinism. The popular term "Ugly Chinese" didn't come out of the pale blue sky.
  5. I'm not going to lie - i laughed a bit when I read this question. I used to HATE it when I first came here, but now I almost love it. I am almost JUST AS BAD as a Chinese now - when it comes to line cutting (i still pee in a toilet and blow my nose in a tissue, instead of doing both of those on a tree). My wife and our friends (also foreigners [Americans]) even encourage it now, we always tell each other "just pull a china move and walk right up there" It also comes out of necessity when trying to get on a bus that has a popular route, otherwise you will be standing in the middle of the crowded aisle. . . word of warning tho - watch your pockets...many chinese WOMEN like to steal from foreigners and pass it off as if they were just pushing past you to get in line. I have had 3 friends all get their wallets/phones stolen in the past 2 years...one friend even had her iPod stolen from her HAND!
  6. you have to work your way up, AA, MA then PHD. double major ok. nothing is easy. pls dont humiliate us chinese anymore in a public forum. why can't you follow the good ones? like me always stand in the back of a line, or can't get into an elevator for an hour? because i don't have a PHD yet. try to get a PHD in line dancing instead.
