What type Of Degree Is A PhD? Is It A Doctoral Degree Or Is It Its Own Thing?
I ask because I'm considering going to college at UMASS at Boston. On their site it says Degrees offered: * Certificate * Bachelor's * Master's * Doctoral I want to have a PhD and be a psychologist.

- it is a doctoral degree. however, it pales in comparison to an MD.
- It would be a doctoral. However, you first have to earn a bachelor's then a master's and finally a doctorate and most people don't go to 1 school for all 3.
- A PhD is, in fact, a doctoral degree. A word of advice, dear - use Google next time you have a general question like that. Good luck with that degree!
- PhD is a Doctorial. Its a philosophy Doctor, which almost everything falls under. If I had a doctorate in anthropology, I would have PhD in anthro. you'd want a PhD in psychology, which is a doctorial. you have to get a Bachelors in psych. [4 yrs], then your masters and disseration [2 - 4 years] and doctorate [2 years or more.]
- Its the highest degree. You go to college for 8 years to earn that degree.
- A PhD is a Doctoral Degree. But it differs for MD
